How long until you have to affirm your loyalty to Ethan now you mentioned arguments? Any idea why he is so opposed to delivering his comics?
Kind of a weird question. Never had a conversation like that with Ethan. Or anyone really.

Not to mention, didn't EVS publicly say he wasn't going to try and drag people into his issues with Eric? Both Eric and Ethan can figure out their issues on their own time.

As for comic delivery, how on earth would I know anything about someone else's business? It's not like EVS is hard to find. Ask him yourself.

Well, people here tried to ask him a week or so ago, but he was more interested in requesting a Kiwi personal army in his Jihad against a black man.

Not sure which you're taking about. But TenApel put out a few before giving it up. Same with Nolan. He's on his fifth or sixth now. Also good with updates apparently.

No idea about the guy doing the Charlie one. And Fraga as far as I know has only done this one. He at least seems to be giving updates though. But unsure if it's health issues, bad work ethic, or something else keeping him from finishing it. I think I recall him updating saying it'll be this year. But we'll see.
Sorry, should have clarified, I specifically meant Fraga. And if this is really still only his first campaign that makes it at least a year or two late, which doesn't surprise me.

Spoken like a man with Stockholm Syndrome, don't get me wrong perfect response to not offend either party, and (A L L O T) of CG creators are using that response almost word for word.

Its sad to watch grown men and women self censor there words in fear of the rage of a fat pie eating @FROG.

The campaign launched in mid-2020.
The original fulfillment date was supposed to be January 2021

He provides a fair amount of material in the updates, but its difficult to get a sense of whats done. He has done pencil breakdowns for the entire book (probably). There are some samples of inked and colored pages. But its not clear at all where the project is.

And... Vito showing what he thinks of certain movies now. Why he's defending KatyDid is REAL mystery...

Reading Isom I remember thinking the dialogue was Bizarre and just odd in general. That it was like that in Isom 2 makes me think there has to be a reason for that...
The crux of the issue is that Eric July doesn't understand how to use subtext so all the dialogue ends up being stilted and over-expository since he feels to the need to explain things that would be better left unsaid, and also that he doesn't give characters unique voices so everyone's either dry and expository or a generic tough guy. The art doesn't really help with informing the tone of the dialogue, the worst example I can think of is this panel of Goodying where the dialogue sounds like he's concerned but the art gives him a look of vacant smugness which doesn't fit what he's saying at all.

The cynic in me thinks that anyone good enough to make good comics is too good to make comics.
I still think that Superheroes are too interesting a concept to leave to comic books, but otherwise I think it's just a that the American comic industry developed in a way that encouraged better writers to go into other fields due to the ridiculous levels of censorship (give the 1954 Comics Code a read) they were under until the 90s and the big two's subsequent leap into edgy bullshit that killed the industry. They well and truly shot themselves in the foot with the CCA and they've been reaping the consequences for the last 30 years.

Katydiddogs clips a bunch of useless shit where I'm left thinking where's the own? But this one has something: explains wtf that Yaira accent was supposed to be...
Icelandic?

In other news, Malincel is feeling optimistic:

Optimistic that he will ever have a CG campaign successful enough again for overseas backers to constitute a significant problem.

Just think, EVS hasn’t even got to the stage where he needs to consider such logistics for his 3 main outstanding campaigns (or maybe he has, and hence the perpetual procrastination)

in all fairness, creators can't control shipping prices

If they have a product to sell, yes they do. If there is no product to sell, and your E-begging for money today to give a hamburger tomorrow, every one involved is a retard crowd funded project creator and backer, and all should be destitute.

Edit- if your are backing to support creator fine call it a donation or a super berry and do not bitch when product does not come, on the same logic if your a 30 year comic pro don't call your Panhandling cup called indie gogo a business, its e-begging because you have no work ethic or ability to handle finances.

Final Edit, Clip me Vikkiverse because I need advise, exposure, and clout from a homeless dog walker disenfranchised by her own family.

He should still have a general idea though. It's no different than trying to figure out shipping prices in the US. If USPS, they're going to usually go up a couple times a year. Probably the same for UPS/FedEx.

For instance, using the below site as an example, I can ship a one-pound package worldwide (a little cheaper if Canada) for $17. $21 if 2 pounds. Excludes custom fees though. And if you think it'll be a year or two before you actually mail the stuff out. Maybe add a couple dollars to that shipping rate. Plus a few dollars for packaging, fees, and whatever else that comes to mind.

But been using this since 2020/2021 and 1/2 pound for Canada was at $7.49 I think. So the rates going up each year aren't too bad. Used to be a straight shot to Canada, but they're doing like worldwide now and goes off to a local reshipper location to then get sent to the country. Can probably find cheaper if you ship enough internationally. Particularly if you're going to be going over 4 pounds (unless you want to send multiple packages). But I usually use it when I have international orders since it's usually a little cheaper than what USPS or whomever charges. And don't need to keep track of the various weight tiers some countries might have when sending a package. So can just make it a flat rate.

EDIT:
I will say though, that this might be a major failing on the crowdfund sites. I suppose it makes a little sense for them to allow the person making the campaign to set a general price if the package is going nationally. But dealing with international orders can be a headache. I do recall seeing some have a thing you have to add so $10 or whatever amount is added to the total if going internationally. But they probably should have something in place for the seller to not really worry about that beyond what the weight of the item might be.

Maybe do similar to eBay (EIS) where the item gets sent to a reshipper (Ascendia I think) to then get relabeled and possibly repackaged to go off to wherever. Don't need to worry too much about custom forms, taxes, and whatever else. Which is nice. I recall Cecil saying he was going to do that for the second chance Cash Grab for international buyers. List the comic on eBay and let the international people buy it. Not sure if the price would be a little higher since the eBay fees will be a bit more than IGG probably. But doing that can help take away from any complexity that can occur.
