Ok one more then. I'm not even saying there should be a thread on him or that he's currently deserving of all the attention which is getting fucking boring and annoying that all sektur and comicsgate shit now revolves around Eric and i'm sick of rehashing it. But if you can't laugh at Eric July's hoe ass roads shit from 2019 you're a too super serious fan of him, or you're a super serious libertarian who believes in libertarian shit too seriously while posting from your private road, or you're being purposely dumb because you hate someone who hates Eric. The excessive respect for money and success can either be a libertarian or ghetto black thing (or motivational speaker brainrot)... rich people are not above being laughed at. Chimping out about them bitch ass hoe ass roads in a political debate is fucking funny to laugh at. These libtards explain it better:

Now EVS has an achievable goal. Beating Eric’s D tier book about a real smart guy that sparks no interest, in sales. Should be fun watching his mental gymnastics on this one.
Goodying seems to have scenes outside of Texas, which does spark some interest for me!

Just barely getting a W, Fearsome manages to squeeze a few couple of fools into reaching to the 100K mark. And to think this would've been an EVS that DIDN'T reach over 100K.
It's also important to note that the CG projects that the Rippaverse campaigns are being compared to all have to share a significant percentage of their crowdfunds with IGG (~30%?) while Eric keeps all of the money raised from his so his "flop" is really blowing them all away.

You know, I hate how EVS took over CG and how projects like the Rippaverse that are the epitome of what the movement was supposed to be are seen as something different. As if you cannot be considered CG unless EVS 's dick has been showered by at least 2lt of your saliva.

I don't think there's anyone in Ethan's circles other than Ethan who can move 5K books, especially on a side character that hasn't been hyped nearly as much as the main books. The dollar amount gets focused on on the books, but it's because of the price point.

You would think that the fact that he is the only one who can really sell books, besides Zack and that’s questionable atp, would clue people in on going under Ethan. Even his sales don’t justify it anymore either imo.

Also, did Cecil ever release his book? Or did he literally do a cash grab?

I want to say he did, but at this point I'm so disconnected from CG I'm honestly not sure.

I'm a little surprised his livestreams continue to draw as well as they do. He'll never be Geeks & Gamers tier, but every time I catch one there's always 1,000+ people watching, go figure. A livestream I can only watch through maybe the third round of shilling, or about fifteen minutes, but that's me. Others seem to feel differently.

If he put half the effort into creating he does into shilling ... but who am I kidding? EVS is slouching toward George R.R. Martin levels of procrastination. Someone should superchat EVS asking him when The Winds of Winter is coming out, though I doubt he'd get the reference. Ethan V.V. Sciver.

Can anyone explain why having page rates revealed is bad & why is it a cardinal sin by cg?

Makes it harder for the artist to negotiate cover rates with other people. Or on the other side, people that paid more in the past might start to question it.

It's a dick move for the most part.

Yeah. He released it. Also did a campaign late last year of a second printing with a cover Renie did. Got mailed out a few months ago. He did a Tweet recently about part two being drawn now.

Probably his core audience at this point. The ones that will never leave and buy anything he sells.

Apparently goodyng is a flop on cg Twitter.
People are throwing out that Eric needs to make 1 million on this campaign to break even. Not sure where that came from. It's just a comic, poster, and shirt. There's not way it's going to hit that. Maybe $300,000 when all is said and done. It's funny though. It might take another year (possibly two). But Eric is getting to the point where he'll be able to release a book every month or two. He'll probably be able to get some good steady cash flow going and keep things going for quite a while. Not to mention whatever he makes from the memberships and eventually the fulfillment service.

Ethan showing how good a guy he is. I suppose if someone were to take a photo of EVSs house and make it the night sky in his comic he'd find it funny.

Between Amazon here, Audible (audio books), Ingram Spark direct and my webstore I've moved about 4,100 this month. It's not up on a crowdfund leaderboard and is a different ecosystem so we'll see how it goes when I launch my Kickstarter. I did this all just advertising my books on my 5 minute videos every day and not livestreaming or acknowledging all the retarded CG crap going on. If you talk about things people actually care about they invest in you, whodathunk. Regardless, it pays for my life and all of my comic art for the foreseeable future so everything else is just gravy.

I think cash grab came out, didn't back that because it was retarded.

Counterpoint: You are well known as a pathological liar.

I really swear I didn't back cash grab! Cecil was all on team was campaign at the time and virtue signaled against me, there was no way I would have supported that.

This thread has the most amount of “in-fighting” I’ve seen on threads that aren’t majorly political.

Although it’s really more “being snippy” than “fighting”.

That's probably because so many of the personalities being discussed in this thread come here to post. I'm not aware of any other threads where so many of the players are also active participants. The person I was just replying to is Jon Del Arroz, noted domestic violence afficionado and all-around scumbag.

It's funny, but who hasn't gotten loose ranting about something before? Literally everyone is guilty of that.

actually watching and then recommending sam seder videos? are you trans?

someone not liking a road or something sounds about as dull and boring as every other attempt to go after eric july, oh no he made a comic book that isnt good oh no he said something bad about a road 6 years ago. who gives a fuck? this shit is fucking retarded.

I got mine. It's literally a fucking mid tier book with not great art... Shocker. But I'm sure it's ten gorillion times better than nigger's books.

The critique against alot of ComicsGate crowndfunding books is they are just merch of your favorite YouTuber rather than some kind of story worthy of actually reading. Say what you will about the Image guys in the 90s, but at least they tried to create IP (maybe 1 out of 10 image books were decent, Savage Dragon, Maxx, Pitt as examples). This is why a Cash Grab book can come out and make no culture imprint, not even within Comics Gate subculture. Its on to the next grift, the next Trash Cast, the next rehash of the Dungeoneers.

I guess, we'll agree to disagree then, i might would have agreed that this might be lolcow material decades ago, but this is just a normal libertarian meltdown. if you want to see to see some more libertarian meltdown, just argue a libertarian about doctor's license and doctor's association being neccessary.

we'll just chalk it up to generational gap. i'll agree with Josh's point of view that once you get older, the way you evaluate lolcow material drastically change, as if the new lolcows are weak compared to the old lolcows
