Then after a brief sales bump in early pandemic 2020 when everyone was inside watching youtube, diminishing returns on that scheme & scam. Those guys were in it for the money and as little work as possible. Screw the ideals and building their own platforms.

Funny enough, the main point of contention CG had with the FNT and G+Gs guys, was the fact that they DID INDEED WATCH EVERYTHING. And self righteous CGers would constantly poke at them and be like "nobody supports Disney more than Nerdrotic and Jeremy!!!" Which is what gave EVS the unearned holier than thou attitude he got after he stopped covering star wars and media in general. His favorite talking point was always "we are actually creating here........not just consuming and supporting Disney." Well, they certainly were investing, just not in their company. Zack used to brag about how he good he was at investing during the QE/GME/crypto era. I think he even mentioned he was giving Ethan advice way back when, though there's no way I could find that. He did eventually mention during the rate hike crash that he realized he was just another midwit who thought he was good at investing because he stonks kept going up while the government was printing money. In the video I reposted from him, he mentions that one of the reasons he's mad at Tesla is because it lost him money. He blames Elon for making jokes on Twitter. He says he made the money back on NVidia. He also says his new stock picking plan is to make sure that the CEO sounds like a slick convincing guy and not like Elon. As another poster pointed out, Zack preferred to invest money in the stock market to investing in his comic book business. I was naive enough to believe that was where CG was going to go, but these comic book labels are just "eternal crowdfunding labels" not normal indie comic companies.
