You don't say, Richard."I did a mockup and I was very excited about it, but then I was like, I think people might not understand the mockup and I think it might cost me sales"
This is one of so many ideas that would never get past an editor, if he had a real one. I don't think he realizes that these kinds of ideas are not unique to him. Everyone who dabbles in creation has ideas that either need heavy criticism to be good, or have no market. Most great writers need an editor, and their work often turns to self-indulgent bloated shit once they get too successful to take professional revision. Not to mention late.
I watched his video where he explains the concept. I'm guessing he didn't bother to consult an IP lawyer because here's the gist of what he's said: He knows he's in extremely dodgy territory, so he's decided to do several things to "protect himself."
He's in trouble. If Zack's grasp of the legal concept of fair use is even half as retarded as his understanding of public domain, he's in trouble.
Actually, I now think this entire project is deliberate provocation to go Sovereign Citizen and start another lolsuit. He knows he has an argument based on a Wikipedia understanding of the caselaw, but he knows it's not so good an argument that a responsible IP farm like Disney won't sue the living shit out of him. He also knows that worst case scenario, he can "settle" by just canceling the project. Meanwhile his views will do a 10X as everyone crowds in to listen to him sperg.
Really? Now? Talk about taking the bait. I could see someone responding to his meltdowns a couple of months ago, but it's so transparently obvious now that he's flailing around for an @ so he can respond and start a fight with that person for clicks. It's kind of like that livestreaming strategy that he hates, except for assholes. It seem thinking critical has officially called out Zack
