Let's grant that Eric is the scum of the earth, scammer, fake fan, etc. and the Rippaverse is going to go supernova with no survivors in less than 24 hours.

How is that an own on Az, Gary, or Mauler? None of them work for Eric. Yeah they're friends, but they've all already survived Ethan and Zack flaming out despite being friendly with them, how does EVS delude himself like this?

He was so happy when they finally responded back because it gave him the little cope that it wasn't his fault that he's a crackhead. One rhat's about to go homeless the moment his wife dies. That he wasn't like his abusive piece of shit Father who could never fucking execute and left them rotting in a rundown house. That he still may be somebody rather than a nobody that everyone ignores.

He's really lucky that he has nothing but cattle as his audience now because they could if they really wanted to rape him in the courts for not giving them their product

Shame, by the amount of money he has raised so far, its not working. The CG fan meet-up was a failure and now the new EVS book on the new platform is looking like a massive failure. You could almost wonder if he has finally reached the point where he has completely killed himself off.

I dont know if this is the best thread for it but its one I know.

I have a co worker who was over seas for like a decade so he missed alot of the culture war, he doesnt even know what gamer gate was. lucky bastard.

He s also a fan of dungeon crawler carl.

Both me and him have noticed more DCC shit in our social media feeds, The book series has been optioned for a peacock+ tv show with seth mcfarlon of family guy fame.

I saw that a few months ago that the authore denounced the critical drinker for doing a voice in the 3rd book and it was Eric July who explained that Eric s lost opportunity for being connected to drinker.

So I had to give my boy a crash course of gamer gate and how it failed, because it just created a bunch of grifters.

Then I told him my short recolection of what ya boi zack went through where he was critic was told to just make his own comic, hired that dude who ran a comic publisher as a hobby job, but then what was his name? the DC guy called the publisher and hinted that yeah you dont want to deal with that dude.

He laughted when I explained that IVS cant produce the work and needs a retard wrangler to keep him on task but then this whole culture war movement trashs the black dude that basically makes his comic books (seriously what the hell)

He thought the premises of Ya Boi Zack's jawbreakers sounded awful.

Zack is now i dunno just like always addicted to making youtube videos (does he want to blow critical drinker? like whats up with that)

To circle it around I said that it seems the author of DCC is being given the door to the main stream with his crazy and rather creative work, and thus the culture war conintues.

I would just like to know if I gave him a good run down.

There is the perception of what he went through and then there is the reality.

Ya Boi Zack originally launched Jawbreakers on Kickstarter back in 2015. It got 58 backers, Ya Boi Zack did the art himself and he never actually fulfilled the campaign. Then in 2018, EVS and Jon Malin stepped in for their own reasons to help him create a jawbreakers that wasn't totally embarassing fan-tier work. Ya Boi Zack got a distribution deal through Antarctic Press for the new Jawbreakers graphic novel. Then Mark Waid called the Antarctic publisher in what I and others would consider a threatening way. Antarctic dropped it. And Ya Boi sued Mark Waid.

Ya Boi tried to claim that there was no way after Antarctic for him to publish Jawbreakers in the regular comics market. Its disputed, but the view of some is that the claim wasn't true. That he had other ways to publish it but didn't. He ended up exclusively crowdfunding it and making alot of money off it. People ended up buying all kinds of comics featuring the compelling story of the Jawbreakers battle against a Giant purple Gorilla.

I consider that statement to be correct. Nothing could stop Waid or the rest of the weirdos from calling whichever publisher Zack went to next. Lawsuit was an one-way road.

About the only thing CG represents today is people who are anti-Eric July for no particular reason. Even Ethan's mainstream comics name recognition is just about gone. He has become a "remember when" kind of guy.

Its also worth saying that nearly all of the people most associated with anti-CG in the past have by this point generally moved on to other things. Because CG and Ethan are not worth it anymore. And considering the warped degenerates still inside CG including Mandy Summers, Shane Davis, Cecil and EVS himself, they don't have platform to call out anyone for degeneracy.
