And I get it; all the shit he's had to go through to get this book in readers' hands, and just when he thinks he's crossing the finish line, someone he was trusting puts a stumbling block in his lane. Good on him for not giving up and making sure things are made right. It would be so easy to just say "Sorry, guys, I tried, wasn't my fault" and just sit the rest out. But Meyer isn't going to be satisfied with busted-up books in his customers' hands. If he keeps this attitude up, I think he's gonna have a bright future in the industry - or, rather, outside of it…

Also, a special bonus moment with Renfamous sperging out about a tweet how Wonder Woman is better Captain Marvel. Saying that it's sexist to have two female characters fighting one another, while ignoring the double standards when two male characters are pitted against each other (Ex: Superman Vs Batman, Goku Vs Superman, Jason Scott Vs Tommy Oliver, etc).

I was subscribed to Ethan before he got into the culture wars. He didn’t have as many views or subscribers until he started talking about SJWs and Star Wars. Before it was mostly a drawing channel and I wish it stayed that way, but I could see why he gets into SJWs since it gets the beta bux. I dislike SJWs too but I wish I got more of his drawing videos in my feed.
 
So YaBoi actually responded to my shit anger. He was cool about it, and I honestly feel bad about my apprehension. Mad on the Internet, indeed. I'm apparently supposed to get my issue this week. Hopefully I will. I really want to hold this issue in my hands.
 
I like how I haven't been in this thread for like two months and then Gail Simone being smug made me walk right back out. Fighting their audience for woke points really is all they have.

They do realize that this "hiccup" actually makes things WORSE for Waid, don't they? Remember Waid's interference forced him into self publishing and fullfillment. So Waid is going to be held responsible for any and all of this.

On a weird side note. Apparently Renfamous is branching out and has wandered off to make the Anime fans lives a living hell. It's like she is actively begging to be sued at this point.

Also, I thought he was originally planning to sign a bunch of labels and stick the signed labels into the books, but mine was signed directly, which I thought was a nice touch.

I think Zack's maybe being a bit too perfectionistic about the whole thing - in his video he makes it sound like they packaged the comic up in a bag of razor wire and steel wool, but it's a pretty standard cheap mailer. Absolutely not weatherproof, but under normal circumstances it would have been good enough to get it to people in the condition I got it in. If he'd shrinkwrapped the books on top of that, as he mentions, that probably would have been enough.
The thing is that he seems to want every single copy to be a pristine museum piece, which is only ever going to happen if you use a real shipping box for every one.

He signed blank pages, which were then sent to the printer and bound in with the book.

You should. I got mine early last week and it arrived safe and pristine. The big issue for most seems to be the mailers are not waterproof enough and are getting left on snowy doorsteps. If you are in the snowless South you should be fine. The books not bad. The art is certainly a refreshing breath of fresh air. I king or wish we could see his teams take on GI Joe.

These are some of those foreseeable incidental and consequential damages they talk about. When Waid induced the breach of contract, it was quite foreseeable that it would force Meyer either out of business entirely or to make expensive substitutions. This is exactly the kind of harm Waid deliberately caused.

He's on the hook for it all.

I feel like Lauren is spending a lot of time eating & drinking her feelings. But do you think she ever has a moment of self-reflection where she realizes how much of a transparent & tedious nothing she really is?
