I agree with your general point but this is not being a "weirdo", I love weirdos and manchildren, this is sociopathy and scheming from old men in their 40's and 50's that are mad that their internet friends left the club. But the unforgivable part about this is how terribly unfunny it is to watch. It's hilarious given that a big issue in comics that was pointed out was this type of behavior too. Seriously, the biggest lesson you can learn about "creative" fields due to events like CG are that animators and artists tend to be manchildren or emotionally 12, and the writers may be this or failed in their previous jobs.
Regardless, assume everyone is a weirdo on some level.
I think that's what bugs me about Ethan's shit the most. Doug is basically just a typical 90s boomer who's not 100% aware of what's going on or how to act online but at least he's honest about himself, while Ethan is acting like an inquisitorial cult leader who expects holy tribute for his help and everyone to follow the party line, while only being interested in improving his own standing and credibility. The little cult he's built for himself is made all the more noticeable by his fanbase in the youtube chat, and the whole "Uncle Ethan" shit always weirded me out. Its why shit like this and GG tanked, because of shitty e-celeb in-fighting and vocal "representatives" on twitter acting like the voice of the group by trying to turn movements into marketable platforms for good press and attention whoring. Usually by manipulating or backstabbing one another whenever someone didn't follow the party line or using moronic arguments like "our enemies are the real racists/sexists/transphobes" to boost their public image. Just say you hate the current state of comics/games and let more people know that voting with your wallet can make a difference and be done with it instead of policing other people who support your group and forming a cult of personality around vocal e-celeb fags. Otherwise you end up with fucks like Ethan using movements for their own benefit. That was some serious inquisitorial behavior like he's some kind of dude rooting out fucking heresy or some shit. Doug may be kind of autistic but that's asshole behavior.
I knew this shit was going to end up like GG the instant the pissing matches on Twitter started.I think that's what bugs me about Ethan's shit the most. I've only got a passing familiarity, but I found myself siding with Doug, who made clear and reasonable points about the issue at hand.
So, who plays the role of Jim, and who plays the role of Sargon???
Same here, I have very little knowledge about comicsgate other than EVS being the figure head. Looked at his channel for some star wars critique, and I see he has 3 hour streams all over the place about comics gate, so I saw him as a defacto leader of that group, and I knew Doug and EVS were on friendly terms. A few weeks ago when I heard Doug was blocking EVS on Twitter I assumed Doug was just being a bitch and two-faced about some drama. Blocking is something SJWs do after all. That was literally all I knew when I started watching the Nick stream and thinking EVS was gonna DESTROY Doug with FACTS and LOGIC and Doug would just embarrass himself as he boomered out.. Doug is a boomer, but wow, he came out way ahead in that stream. My perspective completely flipped and all my sympathy is now with Doug. EVS is now who's raised a lot of my suspicions. I won't go as far as most of you guys seem to in this thread where he's being accused more harshly of being super manipulative and he's leading a cult. Those may be fair assertions but my thought is that EVS is just not thinking enough about his actions and position (Read: he's dumber than he thinks). He's got too wrapped up in being a leader of comicsgate, which he wants to brand and use to help sell comics. I'll admit that that's a charitable view of EVS, but again, this is just my opinion as someone who knows basically nothing of the lore. Just posting for what it's worth.I've only got a passing familiarity, but I found myself siding with Doug, who made clear and reasonable points about the issue at hand.

I don't pay too much attention to this shit, but my guess would be EVS is the Sargon of Comicsgate. It seems that everyone else is not enough of a nihilistic faggot to be Jim, and just want to do their own thing. The closest thing to Jim would be Nerkish, but Nerkish has an actual life besides the internet and doesn't give enough of a shit what EVS's orbiters do.So, who plays the role of Jim, and who plays the role of Sargon???
@FROG, if you're reading this, forget about all this drama and focus on Cyberfrog and your other projects. Let Doug do his own thing. You have made it clear that you want CG to be about accepting all customers and that you feel that Doug and his associates aren't. Just leave it at that and stop wasting time and energy trying to change their minds.
Has EVS even finished a single edition of CyberFrog? Hasn't it been 18 months at this point?
This doesn't look like DC applying pressure against Comicchron to rework their numbers at all.A bit of an old news and probably nobody cares anymore, but it turns out that DC in July shiped some comics at multiple price points due to different cardstock or variants or whatever the fuck and they were split in rankings due to that. Doesn't really matter, point is that it turns out that combining those different releases Batman #75 actually sold 100k copies and was in Top 10: https://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2019/2019-07.html
So yeah, DC having problems with killing Batman.
This screams of damage control, they've never been counted together before. You'd have separate entries or even no entries at all for incentive collectible covers, specially if they had different price points. This doesn't look like DC applying pressure against Comicchron to rework their numbers at all.
@damian revise your Excel sheet that shows obvious decreasing Batman sales before some hired goons show up at your house.
