I thought that had something to do with having advertising vs. not having advertising? And that without advertising you can call it a book and use the cheaper USPS media mail. (Or such it what I half remember, possibly incorrectly, from YBZ videos. Maybe you need an ISBN to make it official.)

PS: Drumpf defunding the post office might cause issues with this, either the pricing or delivery time. Or both. I follow some bookstores on my SJW Twitter account and they were sperging about this specifically in between all their usual generalized anti-Trump sperging. (Funny how rarely they seem to talk about books, but I guess that's a thought for another time.)

PPS: No clue what adding tchotchkes like keychains, coffee mugs, t-shirts, posters, etc., does to that mix. I'm guessing it disqualifies it, but I'm not sure.

Nasser did not create the characters. I brought Brutas, his origin & his sidekick to Nasser to write a story. I created the characters as a result of my fans asking for my version of Lobo before I even approached Nasser.

Nasser wrote a script where Gideon was a person despite the sidekick obviously being a floating robot.

The most Nasser contributed was naming the villains & saying a Cheeto is what woke Brutas.

Also, the numbers on display for Brutas costs are laughably low. Ethan is the closest, still lowballing & didn’t include Kyle coloring Willis’ cover, Kelsey coloring mine & Huerta’s cover for his 5pg story, which he also got a writing fee for.

If any other writer wrote this book, it wouldve been 10000000000x different, because anyone couldve created any story for him because you had NOTHING besides a pinup.

At this point the Brutas the Badass should have its own thread there is so much slapfighting involved.

Having your private business dealings become a public thread enshrined on the internet forever so that any Google search of your name comes up with a retarded comic book argument is beyond dumb. Imagine any future employer or business partner finds dozens of pages of sperging this hard over something this easy to fix. Its a massive red flag to HR that if any dispute occurs its likely to find its way onto an entertainment forum instead of being resolved like a grown up.
Some things just aren't worth going to war over and I seriously doubt @Fathead is going to wreck his reputation over a few thousand bucks by never paying.
What could have been ONE post about it has turned into a circus sideshow with EVS as the ringleader. Handing the accounting info over to JDA would have been an easy fix but after Nasser has shat all over Donal going on months now I understand why Donal wouldn't want to make it easy.

Ethan and JDA have no dog in this fight other than to help resolve what has become a bitter dispute out of the kindness of their hearts. If I were Donal I'd send both of them the financial information to look over but even after they come to an impartial decision I dont know if that would end Nassers sperging. I'm sure Nicky Rackets would also do the job for free just to host this ridiculousness.

comics at their heart are storytelling, and a good story needs a decent writer. Otherwise you end up with a basic collage of overrendered panels in rough sequence. Exciting in places, ultimately empty, and often stupid.

You hit the nail on the head for me when it comes to Comicsgate books. A lot of them have Good to mediocre art. And that's it, Zack's comics are all mediocre GI Joe rip offs. I can't even remember most of the other Comicsgate books. They all blur together for me. None of them are all that eye catching. None of them have an interesting concept or at least execute an idea in an interesting way. It's all just derivitive of something else. I can't tell you who the characters are. They don't have any memorable lines. Or even do anything all that noteworthy. And they want me to pay over £100 if you include shiping on a 40 -100 page graphic novel of okay art and nothing else. People remember stuff like Infinite Crisis and Watchmen because the art and story were both good. If you have great art but a mediocre story you're left with a book people might occassionally remember as that book that had good drawings in it. I'm not saying the writing is MORE important than the art. But that both should be good. Otherwise why make a comic? Just make some drawings into an artbook.

I don't see how extortion and demanding "hush money" helps your cause. Donal already agreed to pay you after lost/missing packages are accounted for. You still don't know if it's going to be 5k or less. Donal still hasn't paid himself except for what you agreed to let him spend on a new computer.

The book is already over a year late and that falls on both of your shoulders. You have to account for refunds for all the people not willing to wait that long for their $25 comic book.
I just don't understand how you think constantly attacking Donal as being a thief and EVS as encouraging theft endears you to anyone or gets that money into your account faster.
Your time would be spent more productively thanking Donal for bringing your script to life and thanking EVS for helping get your random obscure comic book to almost 40k dollars in sales.

I didn't threaten anything. All I've done is tell the truth and show the dms. If showing what Donal has done "hurts his business" that's on him for being crooked, for lying, for stealing.

@NasserRabadi13 , since all this talk right now is obviously not going to get you what you feel like you should get, and it seems like settling this in small court claims is not the path which you want to take due to how immensely time and resource consuming it is, I would like to know if, like other folks here have suggested, you would be open to the idea of going on Nick Rekeita's show? It's a free show, and you get to have all the legal advice you want, as well as go over all this with him.

From how I view it, all this talk on here is only going to cause people to throw more legal terms into it when they might not be experienced in it too well, plus, talking over text here is not going to bode over well due to the lack of clarity like people's tone when they post things. I also think people who have taken your side of things mean well, but it's clear that no one knows what's better for you than you, and you should get all the help you could get. Besides, Nick is far more knowledgeable in the legal system and business law than what anyone here can offer you, and I would take that opportunity if I were you. A civil discussion is possible to be had, due to the nature of how Nick proceeds with things.

Cecil is the last writer I’m working with. I’m doing my own books from now on. Hiring people who will get fairly paid when they turn in work like I did on Brutas.

No more headaches & dumb decision because I tried being generous.
