I’m really sorry to be an unfathomably lazy cunt, but I was extremely busy when the Az/EVS stuff happened. I’ve tried combing this thread and watching what videos I can stomach from the concerned grifting parties; some streams etc are now unavailable would appreciate cliff notes of what exactly went down after EVS essentially labelled Az a Buechler-made nobody.

I coincidentally first heard of Az when he interviewed EVS on the HvBF channel during Spring 2020. It was actually a fairly decent stream and was long before Az transmogrified into the insufferable cunt he is today.
-Shortly after the Mecharandom explosion, Ethan goes on a tear against TFM
-Claims that Friday Night Tights is basically just a bunch of "zeroes" propped up by Gary
-Az takes extreme offense to this, as discovered when someone superchatted Az to ask if he'd promote Cyberfrog toys
-With salt pouring from his mouth as he speaks, Az says that Ethan can get by on his own after the "zeroes" comment
-This is brought to Ethan's attention, who claims he completely forgot Az was a FNT regular and doesn't consider him a zero
-Ethan apologizes on his own streams but doesn't know how to contact Az directly (Az had been banned from Twitter just prior to this)
-FNT superchatter brings it up again, but Az doesn't forgive Ethan
-Now EFAPing this FNT, Ethan gets annoyed at Az's behavior, and this whole thing seems to be going nowhere

That's about the best I can remember off the top of my head

Nice summation, but you forgot to include that Ethan was offended enough to take back all apologies while watching the stream, so he meant it after all and doubled down.

If Ethan called FNT zeroes minus Gary, and he couldn't even remember Az was part of it, would that make Az less than zero?

But in the end his ego couldn't tolerate a lesser mortal airing grievances against him for accurately interpreting an insult he 100% intended and managed to make things worse. No smoothing over occurred as far as I could see.

Jon del Arroz has managed to build up enough of an independent following during his years of exile that he had one of the more successful campaigns of early 2021 with Deus Vult while 40 simultaneous campaigns were competing for the dollar of the "community". Same with Arachna creator Martti Kaupinnen, who had virtually zero Comicsgate promotion but still managed a $26K campaign for the cheesecake Spider-Woman titty comic by going where people are into that sort of thing.
JDA is targeting the older/old sci fi and fantasy fans, who are mostly low key anti-SJWs. He was involved with the Sad/Rabid puppies I believe (Sci Fi Comicsgate).

Hell, even some of their big name SJWs (like youtuber Daniel Greene for instance) are treading lightly not to annoy their audience.

Plus, that audience responds very well to indies, since mainstream publishing avoids sword and sorcery and space opera.
The Horror community on the other hand is full on SJWs but with less autists and more hipsters. And has been this way for decades.
And since it is a community of people who enjoy senseless violence and offensive material, a lot of the YA/comics/Animation spergery is missing, there is a good "you do you" vibe. Hell, Chuck Wending was cancelled for being a sperg and for calling another author a "danger to women" while he was just a boomer who hit on many women and also was a good writer. Nasser could have played the neurodiverse card and still be booted for being a sperg.

I was trying to do the @TheCosmicWarrior thing, when people in the SciFi community don't like him and call him a white supremacist and he says "BUT I'M SPANISH."

It didn't work out. I realized it was just a bad take for me to try and do, so I deleted those videos I made about it and took down most of the tweets.

Are you saying that autists often miss the nuance required in order to land an edgy joke?

...Sounds believable to me.

JDA is trolling SJWs for the based audience in SFF communities, where there is a culture war element.
A big part of authors, audience and influencers are conservatives or non-SJW liberals.
The main thing is that there is a big audience that wants Heinlein and Conan like works and can't find it in mainstream publishing and JDA taps into that no matter his politics and notoriety. His notoriety only makes those viewers notice him out of the heap of other authors. The fact that he has competent art in his IGG and his book covers gives him sales.

Horror does not work like that so this approach will fail you.
There are a lot of horror books and not enough hype for them, since it is either mainstream publishers or retro horror that get most eyeballs.
100 days to Halloween was on the right track, yet it got lost in the noise. Have you considered running a biweekly/monthly stream going through indie books (not necessarily read them, just shill them) and doing open calls on twitter so you build some favours with other authors. If vinegar does not do the trick, use honey.

What bridges won't EVS burn down at this rate?

That's retarded. No wonder they all blocked you.

I can't believe I'm sympathizing with a bunch of lib hack horror writers but you're even worse by quite a margin. Begging for help and calling "racist" anyone who doesn't bend over backwards to give it is horrendous Vissagio/Simone level shit. I'm starting to think YellowFlash was right about you all along.

You and JDA are sub-human garbage tier hucksters. No wonder you were invited back into the fold.

How's your GarbagePailKids/Critters rip-off coming along?

I'm not surprised. Shane spoiled the twist on stream multiple times, he's already moved on to promoting his next book (which looks vastly more interesting) and the "and then she met Barnaby" meme has been beaten into the ground.
To be fair, I've sort of warmed up to Shane in the last few months. He's managed to improve on basically every complaint I had about him, letting his guard down and embracing the meme to great effect. From what I understand he's been taking his licks on twitter so I assume that's galvanized his commitment to the cause, and I'm sure having his book funded didn't hurt.
Either way he seems to have accepted his place in the food chain and is finally learning to relax and be himself. He's one of the few in CG that I have relatively high hopes for.

if you saw how well that worked for JDA why would you try to do that in a Totally different community that is flooded with liberals? It’s like you were trying to blackmail them into accepting you, instead you’ve managed to permanently stain your reputation in that circle.

Because Nasser is a moron.

He thought he could cry bully his way to popularity because it works for people like Gail Simone, Vissagio and to a lesser extent JDA and he wanted some of that unearned clout he thought would be easily extorted.

Mags Ribbadi is exactly the kind of identity politic playing talentless hack that ComicsGate formed in reaction to.

He really should get his own thread.

I've gotten similar suggestions before with Indiegogos. But at the same time, when I've tried to do streams going over a few campaigns, people tell me it's boring. People seem to be a little split on streams that are just purely going over books and not being entertaining (it may be interesting to talk about the books, I like doing that, but most people want to see a "show").

Excellent. This campaign will have EVERYONE talking. CHAWMP!

I don't know. I thought it worked for Jon figured I'd try it since whatever I was doing wasn't really working.

Yes.
He really should get his own thread.
That would be a boring thread. "Today Nasser steamed with Soy Rage. Soy Rage grossed him out." <--- that would be about the extent of the posts.

what worked for Jon was finally hiring a decent artist for his book and staying out of drama.
You have the decent artist part right, now all you have to do is stay out of needless drama and concentrate on your product.

If you don’t have the gift of gab and quick wit, then all that attention you get from drama is just going to backfire on you.

Nasser is looking for way easier answers than this. Drama's easy. He'll stick with the low effort alternative.

But at the same time, when I've tried to do streams going over a few campaigns, people tell me it's boring.
It's not the ideas that are boring. It's you. It's the zero effort monotonous show that you put on that is boring.

You could do a show about meth-head Armenian strippers fighting cyborg alligators to save their mutant babies in an underground arena and it would still be boring the way you chose to do it.

Join the Toast Masters or something and learn to speak to an audience without inducing a coma... or stick with bullshit drama. That would be easier than actually getting good at YouTubing.
