So from my shitty math they've sold an extra ~123k copies per week.
Weighted price including the top 300 books always keeps that number useless. If my shitty math is correct (it's probably not) Weighted top 10 for June 2019 is $4.63 whereas June 2021 is $5.85. So ~$3.2m of the ~$11m increase (19-21) came from the top 10 price hikes.
He was so important to the process one of the main actors didn't even know who he was. Also i can't remember who it was, but didn't one of the idiots (maybe even Brian) try to dunk on CG by informing everyone they optioned to netflix for like ~$3k.

I'm now taking a second look at this. One the one hand its counter intuitive and improbable. Which, naturally, leads me to scoff. Especially since JJM and others has a bad history of trying to make the comic industry look better in the last year or so.
But, there is a second option. I now am open that either the numbers are junk or, out of spite or a desire to appear busy, DC or Marvel might have 'sold' a bunch of comics to discount chains. If you have printers running why not give massive discounts to the level of cost+ some profit? We'd never know and then you charge a little bit more to comic book store saps still buying new comics?
Add to that that 2021 has an extra week and who knows.
I still think the numbers are bullshit. But maybe its a more extreme version of overships.

A year or so ago I was miffed with the Methwin stuff then I put it into perspective, no one outside CG, anti-CG and a few of the comic pros care or even know any of this stuff exists.
CG doesn't have anything I want (apart from chuckles), and CG can't actually do anything to me.
I was momentarily frustrated as I imagine Mike was because we were coming from a position of reason and logic - and a fan club doesn't care about that it wants in group jokes and the object of its fixation.
Mile, Lim, and Ernst have decoupled there financial success from CG so even any imperative to explain or defend is meaningless. Mike will probably still get his buttons pushed by EVS because he's a heart on his sleeve guy, but he's positioned himself where nothing EVS does should matter at this point.
There is no prize or achievement from CG, and the inertia is fading for CG itself.
CG is a pyramid - it has room for one at the top 2-4 more at the 6-figures mark, and perhaps room for about 6-more to slog out a middle class income while droning through 5-hour livestreams.
There's no extra audience out there to me persuaded to pay $75 to receive a CG book a year later. The Fandom Menace/Anti-SJW channels don't need CG and don't appear to want to be coupled to it either.
Barring some mystery source of new backers CG has absolutely saturated Indiegogo and the market capacity.

You seem Hell bent on proving me wrong by adding strength to my thesis. My point was that getting rid of WC was a pragmatic decision based on money and not getting rid of moral degenerates. Comics, as really most pop culture, is hits driven business. Venom did really good numbers so shit looks good. Spawn is also having that big expansion campaign currently that I think is likely going to collapse in next few months. Next month maybe there won't be any new big hits at all and things will look less good. For example, Bleeding Cool had an article few years ago that proclaimed 25% collapse or something like that when we had normal month compared to one of the biggest months in Diamond's entire history.

The first streams I can find of Lunga's involvement come from known Fandom Menace critic Mad Max: The Mandolorian, now known as Geeks and Gamers Entertainment. A stream from January of this year stars Darth Lunga and none other than Comicsgate™ leader Preston Poulter.
In the stream Preston and Darth Lunga join Max in decrying Ethan VanSciver, Warcampaign and Comicsgate at large, I take this as Darth Lunga's first entry into the world of Comicsgate as a critic on the side of the rebel group known as "anti-Comicsgate/OG-CG/Comicsgate™".
Lunga appeared to have had some issues with other members of the critics of the Fandom Menace detailed in a stream below.
However his repeated criticism of Ethan, TFM, Warcampaign and Comicsgate soon put him in the sights of both Warcampaign and The Fandom Menace, who took him to task in the following thread and unearthed some compromising information.

After having his dirty laundry aired, eventually Lunga's abrasive personality and clashes with other members would lead to a falling out with his former friend and ally Mad Max, releasing a scathing video attacking his former friend for being too controversial and engaging in clickbait. The video titled "The Lies and Selfishness of Mad Max-Setting the Record Straight."

Mad Max then released a response stream, revealing DMs and explaining his problem with Darth Lunga. The problems include Darth Lunga wanting to strike and flag his critics youtube channels something he refers to as "get Jarbo'd", other problems included him punching down on smaller creators and using Max to build his fanbase before throwing him under a bus to join with a separate fan group. Comics fucking suck now, and CG is the only entertaining aspect of it aside from watching someone like Jlongbone laugh at Gotham High or "I am not Starfire". Every one of your posts is bitter flavored, but its like you can't past the litmus test to know.
The people you're complaining about are given money because they are well liked, entertaining, and produce a product for sale.
People used to buy shit because they would trust a guy like Billy Mays to sell it to them. All it took was putting the product in the audiences hands to show them what Billy was saying about the product is true. That created a para-social relationship that made it easier for Billy to sell product as long as that product would maintain that relationship. Thats what the empire is built on. Charisma and delivery.

As much as I hate Zack Snyder, i was pretty happy that the fans got a chance to see the movie they wanted. Mostly because i thought the whole point of entertainment was to entertain the audience. If your audience is already a fandom then you know they already want more of what you're doing.
If people have to pay extra premiums and wait for comic book creators to create and fulfill their obligations, they will. People spend a ton of money for things on ETSY.com that take a long time to be fulfilled. Why would comics be any different? Wire wrapped gems and herbal tinctures are niche too.
Yes comics are niche. That's something you, the SJWs, the flash in the pan MCU/DC fans, and the "comic pros" working for the big companies are learning again.
Comics were always niche, and the concept of making 10 to 100x the money off a movie adaptation or tv adaptation swallowed everything up.

Either way it seems if you're a comic fan you lose. if you're right then CG falls apart and the comic industry is just a bunch of youth novels written by blue haired women angry at the patriarchy for oppressing them while paying them in exposure.
If you're wrong you look like a massive fool, crapping on the new rising business the same way that disbelievers of crypto watched their friends become rich by waiting on a bitcoin wallet to accrue value.
The funniest part is that someone like Cecil can come in and be a joke artist, and earn almost as much money in one auction as Mags Visaggio NEEDS from a gofundme, while *giving nothing in return*.
Let's get back to square one. The whole point of this is the industry is dead, the audience is niche, and CG is catering to them. End of.
