But when I think about what Nerdrotic has done, it's literally:
-GEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting the effect George has on FNT. One intrepid viewer of Deadwood Dale's masterpiece in editing asks a salient question - scrnli_8_21_2021_1-01-11 PM.png

Not sure if anyone has brought this up before so Clock me if I missed it but George is an interesting character in his own right, outside of the ludicrous superchats he's written a Memoir about how his father had kidnapped him as a child. He now champions survivors as a medical consultant and more recently as a writer.

If you're curious about the book, the first review to pop up on Amazon is by one J. Monsalvez. He does a quick 45 second video uh review uh, and refers to the season of release for the tome in question.

If you want to know what it's like to overcome adversity in the face of many horrors...

Well what horrors can J relate to us? The man himself has four reviews we can see publicly. One most remarkable, and I'm guessing the reason this book resonated so much with him is this review for a Hammock
scrnli_8_21_2021_1-08-03 PM.png
The horrors we may never face, or even be aware of...

Anyway I guess my point is George is an interesting character in that, outside of being an established professional in the medical community to some extent and having published a book on Amazon he comes off as something of a nobody who maybe has some extra money to throw around. It's not as if he's a world famous author with more money than things to do with it, so I am curious to see how long he will support Friday Night Tights with these humongous Superchats (30% goes to youtube GEEOOORRRGGEEE). His Book only has 26 global ratings
scrnli_8_21_2021_1-15-11 PM.png

and some reviews came from odd usernames
scrnli_8_21_2021_1-13-03 PM.png
How long can George keep this up? It's not as if this was a best seller although he seems to have transitioned to writing full time.
scrnli_8_21_2021_1-51-47 PM.png

Also interesting to note that the book doesn't have a review from Gary himself. Gary being a "survivor" of drug abuse may find an interest in his biggest donor's work, or his story at least. Maybe they've talked about it on stream, or perhaps just being invited to sit next to "Nerdrotic" is enough to keep George happy. There's no influx of positive FNT viewer reviews on his book either. Granted it was published in 2010, but you would think as much money that George Throws around, and as much excitement he generates in the chat at least one or two Culture warriors would make their way over to "Scarred".

His Amazon "More about the Author" section describes him as being involved in the medical community as a consultant, and hopefully this means he's never far from the help he obviously ($200 DOLLARS!) needs.

So did George send the signal to other fans of Friday Night Tights that throwing around excessive amounts of money was going to result in significant cultural change? Does George truly believe we're fighting a cultural war?
scrnli_8_21_2021_1-32-48 PM.png

Has George replaced his Father's cruel version of love with Gary's love of his money?

As George says in that fateful gun room
"...Never kneel, or someone's foot will forever be on your neck"

Not for like the past two years. This shouldn't be too big a surprise given that Nerdrotic's content (along with 'Anti-SJW' pop culture youtubers in general, of whom Nerdrotic is the king) is complaining about whatever mass pop culture is trending and causes carefully selected for maximum outreach potential whereas, outside of a foray into Star Wars, Frog's platform is based largely about the shrinking, niche world of mainstream Western comics.
Eh, I'll get back to being a YouTuber eventually. It's fun, but it really is nearly a full time job. I need to divide my attention between it and actually making comics.

The Lady Alchemy lawsuit against Martina Markota was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction
Martina is asking the court to award her almost $85,000 in attorney fees and costs. The Indiegogo campaign they are fighting over only brought in $54,000. The GoFundMe for her legal defense currently sits at $14,355. Her lawyers have dared the plaintiffs to sue her in New York, so there may be more paydays to come.

Not to me! Nerdrotic is like the Oasis to Frog's Stone Roses - he may be more commercial/popular, but to me Frog is the original and best.

You're Ian Brown, @FROG! You're the cool original one, even though you're less popular!
I love the stone roses. Nice reference.

I'll be Ride in this scenario.

I was looking at Adam Post’s twitter and seems that he took Billy Tucci’s advice on how to do comic book panels. The pages look pretty good. Let’s hope that he actually got the margins right this time!

You know you can pay an editor to do all these things for you. Just take your time, film 20 minute videos and outsource it, like most of the big youtubers do.

Billy should also tell him not to trace the same three photographs every bargain-basement artist traces if he wants people to take his art seriously.

he didn’t do the art for any of his books. They all were originally webtoons and he omitted that fact when he used to be a regular on Ethan’s show. Mister Dongs was the one who exposed him. That’s why the College of the Dead books look the way they do because being originally webtoons, they were never meant to be in a printed book. This time with the Mermaid book, Post hired someone to format his pages so it would look good in print.

Mike Mike is looking in people’s pockets again.
Also a little discussion about Brian Pulido.

Smiller: ETHAN IS MILKING HIS BACKERS BECAUSE THEY BUY HIS PRODUCT!

Also Smiller: Brian makes almost as much as Ethan does! His backers aren't being milked!

What's the difference? Smiller has EVS derangement syndrome and is looking for any way to justify his immense losses from Lonestar 1/2 to 3. Smiller can never admit when things are his own fault. But I'll admit I fell into this trap too and sometimes it's hard to see when you're wrong--I took some of my anger on donal out on the wrong people. Mike has to understand he can't go around telling people "I BET YOU DON'T BUY MY COMICS CUZ YOU LIKE THEM, YOU BUY THEM CUZ EVS!" then expect them to say "Why pardon me, Mike, I actually do read them. Here is $35 for issue 3!"

Most people are gonna shut their wallets when you tell them that.

F Smiller. How long until he is knocking on Brian Pulido's door asking for work?

I learned all about reprinting my work from Brian Pulido. I had a nice chat with him at NYCC, and his booth was set up with all of these glorious variant cover editions of classic Lady Death books.

He told me, THIS is how you do it. Always keep your books in print, and always have special variants for collectors. That's where I got the idea for UNFROGETTABLE TALES. I own these old stories, might as well repackage them and reoffer them!
