Some dude named PhantomL0rd won a lawsuit against twitch on allegations of fraud. Idk who he is, but this might open the doors for more lawsuits against them, and every day where Twitch gets fucked is a good day.

I used to watch this guy. The brief and my remembering of the lawsuit was he lost his account and in turn partnership with twitch because he started streaming to youtube as well (I think) but was not accepting donations there, just broadening his viewer base as multistreaming was becoming a theme.

Twitch, in bad faith pulled a sneaky and changed the ToS where you can't restream or stream on any other platforms if you have a partnership with them. That wasn't the worst of it as when he tried to amend it, they tried to say he was shilling some shitty gacha stuff for CS:GO through one of those key sites (my memory gets very fuzzy here) and said he had a silent partnership with the site in question to try and shill trade roulettes and shit, basically online gambling.

When it was discovered he infact did not have any partnership and just honestly was an avid user of the site, Twitch said, "You already fucked up once buddy, you ain't coming back."

Court has found they not only acted in bad faith, but that their pulling the carpet out from under him might have damages too as he was streaming for a living on their platform at the time. Ouch.

DisgusedToast, a member of a personal lolcow group OfflineTV was given a suspension from Twitch for unknown harassment reasons. His suspicion is that an old clip he was watching where a friend called him a faggot might be the reason why.

Edit: someone in the thread posted this, supposedly Toast was watching this when he was given the ban. While it seems minor, it effects the entire streaming house he's in, as Twitch's rules are that banned streamers can't be a part of other streams as it's considered ban evasion.

He got banned for streaming gambling content I thought? and it wasn't Twitch that said he was doing the gambling shit it was some youtube video that more or less proved that he owned the site, not had a partnership like he suggested, but he never admitted to actually owning it

It's worse. He abused a kid, got in a fight with his wife over it and abused her too and was arrested for it. A Kiwifarms member went to the courthouse and got the records. He isn't just an abusive dad and spouse, he had a record of drug dealing/weapons charges/theft before he got in a fight with his wife.

The people who uncovered Bardfinn's past as a woman-and-child beater are heroes and the thread should totally be featured on the front page.

If it could grow some legs this info could rival the recent Reddit tranny-janny pedo scandal.
