Just because David Koresh was a child molester and a lunatic cult leader doesn't mean the absolutely horrible decisions of the BATF and the FBI afterwards were great, and just because the BATF and FBI fucked up horribly doesn't mean David Koresh was a saint. It's possible, and actually almost always the case, that when something really fucked up happens, absolutely everyone involved is to blame.

The massacre was mostly the fault of the FBI and BATF deciding to be retards and not taking the multiple chances they would have had to arrest Koresh off the compound, and then ineptly trying to play SEAL Team Six, and then ignoring their own experts they brought in who said Koresh was going to surrender in a week or two at most but the big tough FBI decided Koresh was fucking with them and it was time to hammer down and show everyone the power and authoritah of the US federal governmenterino.
