Some poor kid in the UK got struck by lightning yesterday. He was apparently out playing football and got struck where he stood, talk about unlucky. The saddest part is knowing that this probably wouldn't have been reported about if the kid hadn't been raising money for some suicide charity, but nonetheless, rest his poor soul.

I'm pretty sure if someone was struck by lightning, it would be kinda obvious(?) I'm not too sure what the speculation in the article is about, honestly. It was extremely stormy yesterday in Birmingham and the midlands from weather reports in the area yesterday, it would make sense for something like this to have happened with how angry the weather was lol


I'd just chalk it up to nobody having witnessed it, I unno. Will keep looking into it though..

It happened reasonably local to me and there was a brief, but intense bout of thunder and lightning around that time, so it seems like it probably is a legit freak accident. Poor little bastard, that's rough.

I believe so. Lightning leave any external injuries? Contact burn where it hits + maybe where any metal was touching skin?

I mean it's pretty doubtful there was foul play, but I do find the coaching of the language in the article a little odd and the appeal for more information at the bottom makes me raise an eyebrow.

I see some reports saying it happened at training, which you would think makes it pretty clear cut, but the article posted here didn't specify.

A lot of times the marks for lighting fade in hours because it's your blood being pushed out of your capillaries likes a bruise and it's usually the exception that it scars. Metal does get heated and burned into skin a lot of times.

It would be extremely obvious if it was a taser cause they leave holes from the barbs and burns from being shot out the gun. Most importantly though almost all taser gun have small pieces of paper loaded into the cartridge that are marked to show a taser was shot. My bet is sky new is just shit at writing articles and not a cover up
