Note that this organization should not be confused with Project Open Hands, an organization that provides free meals to senior citizens and disabled adults that has been legitimately partnered with the UCSF hospital for a few years now. However, the fact that UCSF has been referring people to Project Open Hands may have provided some cover to Jirard's organization not dispersing any funds to the hospital.
