In a minor Balldo update, the woman that has been going to Nick's court appearances claims to have spoken with Nick.
The tldr: More cope about not being an addict, he could easily quit, etc. What is worthy of note is that Nick claims that "Drugs were just fun things to do" and that they are leaning on their oldest son for support. The fact that a teen needs to help tard wrangle his wigger drug addicted parents further showcases Nick's inepitude as a father and lack of self awareness.

According to a quick search, the dot "usually signifies a silent signal that the person is a victim of domestic violence". Could this be aimed at Aaron like usual, or could this be a jab at Nick after she likely got kicked out the Balldo bunker? Or is the user reading too much into it?

Updates on the terrorist attack in Magdeburg, Germany, two days ago

The media and political mainstream have wasted no time and are extremely busy agitating against Musk and the AfD, calling for bans against both, Germany-wide if not EU-wide.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser (SPD) visited yesterday and have been booed and jeered by the crowds.
Media reports of "far right" and "right wing extremist" marches. Independent personalities report that the mood in Magdeburg is swinging between grief and anger.
The Magdeburg university clinic announced a special day of opportunity to donate blood, and all scheduled appointment times have been booked within 3 hours.
Lots of confusion surrounding the police investigation, police and law enforcement actions of the past 11 years, and current treats.

This will probably be the last Community Happenings post on the events, unless something really strange happens.

I would like to shill point out an excellent write-up on evidence, motives, and backgrounds regarding the crime. It is highly highly likely that the culprit is a radical Muslim and all those strange tweets are merely a false trail, intended to harm Elon Musk and the AfD, for being very annoying obstacles in the ongoing Islam conquest.

The self-described "Protagonist of Professional Wrestling" Joseph Bryan Aveline Nuguid aka Kidd Bandit has revealed on Twitter that he had actually planned on making a surprise return into the wrestling ring a week ago on December 14 but that the sprain injury that occurred had prevented him from returning and now his return has been pushed back towards somewhere before the summer.

However his return to the ring may be pushed back even further, as Joey is planning to get his penis removed in February, which if he decided to go for it, will mean that he won't be able to return into the wrestling ring before the summer, if at all, and even one of his fellow troons mentioned this to him in the comment section.

Update: Mystery solved, it's a self-block exploit that Clearsky tracks because Clearsky is retarded.
Update 2: The script he used has been found.

Some random user account that was just registered 12 hours ago has surpassed Jesse Singal as the most blocked user on Bluesky. Thing is, it appears this person has done some POST request manipulation of some sort to add themselves to people's block lists. They also have blocked the exact same amount of people that have blocked them to block themselves 231,650 times, and issued a foreboding statement that their account may likely be suspended at some point soon.

President Joe Biden has commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 inmates on federal death row to just life in prison. The 37 inmates have all committed various heinous crimes against men, women, children, police officers, and others.
The 3 individuals who did not have their sentences commuted are:

  • Robert Bowers (Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue shooter), and

Daniel Stenburg, the creator of Curl, has confirmed on his blog that he's dropping support for his Rust HTTP/1 alternative backend using Hyper. The reason? Rust-trannies couldn't get to grips with C to utilize the libcurl library nor where any of his own devs eager to become proficient in Rust and C altogether to maintain this project despite "co-operating intensely" with Sean McArthur who is the lead dev and maintainer of Hyper.

95% of the work is the easy part​

I mean that we took it perhaps 95% of the way and almost the entire test suite ran identically independently of which backend we built curl to use. The final few percent would however turn out to be friction enough to now eventually make us admit defeat, give up and instead yank it all out again.

There simply were no users asking for it and there were almost no developers interested or knowledgeable enough to work on it. libcurl is written in C, hyper is written in rust and there is a C binding glue layer in between. It takes someone who is interested and good at both languages to dig in, understand the architectures, the challenges and the protocols to drive this all the way through.

But with no user demand, why do it?

It seems quite clear that rust users use hyper but few of them want to work on making it work for a C project like curl, and among existing curl users there is virtually no interest in hyper. The overlap in the Venn diagram of the two universes is not big enough.

With no expectation of seeing this work completed in the short to medium length term, the cost of keeping the hyper code is simply deemed too high. We gain code agility and reduce complexity by trimming this off.
