Omocat is going through some controversy (
post) after a twitter user named "@animegirlcrimes" posted about exposing OMO. In specifics (this is long), she was heavily working on Omori because she was dreaming about becoming a game developer & getting paid for it. Then 6 months later, she crashed & burned but OMO (the main developer) got pissed at her, insulted, took back royalties for pay, etc, I'll just show you the
thread (
archive).

The proof provided, showed discord screenshots. In this, it showed that OMO was not going to pay royalties at all.

OMOCat did i
n fact respond (
archive), people were blasting OMOcat for calling "overtime pay" royalties, not paying the worker at all, and for being greedy overall.

and, to save up space, Melon Kid (@animegirlcrimes) would respond with this:

and other team members still are collecting their thoughts about the situation. tweets
