Strangio is currently challenging the State of Tennessee’s ban on paediatric sex change procedures: in other words, to allow minors access to 'gender affirming-care' on the grounds it saves them from committing suicide. Yet, she herself concedes and pivots to a distinction between suicidality (thoughts, or an expressed urge or behaviour that would indicate a desire to kill yourself) and suicide (to actually kill yourself). The blurring between the two by trans activists has been formally eliminated by Strangio.
