The French government has launched an investigation into the death of online personality Raphaël Graven, known as "Jean Pormanove", who died in his sleep aged 46.

The streamer had been livestreaming on the platform Kick prior to his death according to French media reports.

France's digital affairs and artificial intelligence (AI) minister Clara Chappaz wrote in a post on X on Tuesday Pormanove had been "humiliated" and "mistreated" during streams on the platform for months, and said an inquiry into his death was underway.

The straw that broke the camel’s back appears to have been an exchange in which Contra defended an Israeli trans woman who decided to go to prison rather than be conscripted into the IDF, which was apparently not enough for pro-Palestine leftists who believed the tranny’s actions were “the bare minimum”, and whom proceeded to shit on Contra as well. Contra’s final tweets bemoan the modern left for being overly self-righteous keyboard warriors and he concludes by stating: “I wanted to show that you can have progressive values without being a self-righteous prick and/or crazed ideologue. The phase out of TLS Client Authentication from Let's Encrypt begins Oct 1st, 2025 thanks to Google (Chromium) demanding revisions.
This change is prompted by changes to Google Chrome’s root program requirements, which impose a June 2026 deadline to split TLS Client and Server Authentication into separate PKIs. Many uses of client authentication are better served by a private certificate authority, and so Let’s Encrypt is discontinuing support for TLS Client Authentication ahead of this deadline.
