So looks like 12 people managed to get all the achievements based on this leaderboard. Achievement hunter communities are a special kind of autistic so I wonder how many people will sweat it out to get this before it shuts down.

I bet you they ran the numbers and can't justify the server cost and the licenses for the anti cheat and DRM. It would cost them more money to keep it up than take it down.

But Bamco just railed on the worst and most predatory monetization I've ever seen. Azur Lane, Overwatch, Genshin, Nikke, Fortnite, all these live service microtransaction hell games know where the money is, sex sells. If you want your game to be popular and not CoD, then you gotta target the audience with most extra cash, horny men.

Warframe, a game made by progressive Canadians that had a recent update where you do quests a characters gay lover and whos community team is made up of tranny chasers, released a skin for Ember which is just a rule 34 fire atronach. It sold crazy amounts, because I see it everywhere. Even they know what they need to do to get the bux.

Yeah but its also not only sex, people want to play characters they like or relate to, its a known fact that players in mmo/rts rarely pick non-human/non-humanoid characters,

For example there is a League of Legends character called Skarner and its basically just a scorpion, the pick rate of skarner is always the lowest of any character, even when Riot buffs and makes skarner OP nobody will pick him and that's because humans prefer playing characters that are like humans.

I mean the characters in this game kinda look like humans but still they are not the most relatable bunch, If i played FPS I would have more fun picking one of those team fortress dudes i feel like.

I ALMOST feel bad for that tranny, not a DAY after its published "hey, this game has a tranny" and the game just FUCKING DIES.

The timing COULD NOT be more comical for that. This game has been gold for everyone but the people who worked on it.

It happened before with the PS4 version of Cyberpunk. It's the one and only time I can remember them ever refunding something.

Hot take but this game would have been way more successful if it was actually like the reveal trailer and was just a single-player GotG ripoff. Hell, the asian chick isn't even that unattractive so they could have used her for most of the marketing instead of the uggo mystery meat blobs that populate 80% of the roster.

Honestly I would have been extremely down with buying ace pilots from the shows. Being Char would be worth the price of admission alone if he occasionally said "Blame this on the misfortune of your birth" when you got a kill.

Unless they provide internal documents from Sony that say "Make the uggliest gay niggers from outer space" then it's all their fault.
 
What i want to see is the frantic calls upper management at Sony are doing right now, to reassure investors that the place is not burning down.
They are not your cool collected string pullers, that they want you to believe they are. Most of them are flappy hysterical messes of humans.
 
Aside from laughing at the failure of the game that touted pronouns as a feature, I would also contend that this is more so the result of chasing trends. Rather than take a competent studio with a vision to make something original, companies like Sony will see "oh wow people like hero shooters guess it's time to cash in!"

200mil and half a decade later, the appetite for hero shooters has died down and trends have changed, all the remains is a money pit of a game nobody asked for that was marketed towards an audience that doesn't exist. I would be really interested to see what their market research looked like at the start of production vs the last year of development, there's no way someone didn't see this coming.
