Sunk-cost fallacy is one hell of a drug. The fun thing is that probably even Sony saw the writing on the wall long, long ago: Concord's gameplay just didn't bring enough to the table to distinguish itself from its competition in a VERY saturated market (I don't think the lack of microtransactions or a season pass was done out of respect for their customers, they knew in advance this wasn't going to be a big hit). So, to spice things up, long before the closed and open betas they decided to release a series of animated shorts (Freegunner Adventures, of which if I'm not mistaken only a couple episodes were released), promised weekly "cinematic vignettes" at least for the first season and secured a place in the upcoming Amazon videogame show. By the sound of it, none of this could be very cheap, even if it didn't look very impressive.

To make things short: facing an obvious problem of lack of game in their game, Sony's solution was to add movies. Jokes write themselves.
Sure, sunk cost fallacy explains why the devs even bothered to continue, but Sony didn't dump their 100 million into it till 2023. Anyone with half a brain could have looked at the current hero shooter market and determined that this random fucking no-name generic looking shit wouldn't stand a chance. The money they kept spending after that gets back down to sunk cost fallacy, but the execs that made the decision that they could turn concord into some new smash hit IP for themselves were fucking delusional.

They've declared those games are "queer" and that any filthy subhuman straight men who enjoy them "don't realize that they're being made fun of, these games are queer and you aren't the target audience! "

Hence why they threw a giant shitfit when Bayonetta 3 had her shack up with a dude, because "THEY QUEERBAITED US, SHE SHOULD BE WITH JEANNE INSTEAD!!!!"

Gonna derail here but that's so dumb. Bayo had that constant flirting in the first game with scarf. How on earth do people look at that and think "No, queer"

It's even less justified with Lolipiop Chainsaw because Juliettes boyfriend exist and he's quite the plot point.

And with the lollipop chainsaw remake, there were alphabet people asking on twitter how anyone straight could be into the aesthetic or whatever because it's a girly character and there's rainbows, and she's a cheerleader, etc. since clearly all gamers must be like them and assume the character in a game represents them.
That's so retarded.

It's based on generic old high school movies with a zombie twist and all its archetypes. Think High School Musical and the Walking Dead. Pretty sure guys love that, especially the hot cheerleader part.

Which in itself is bit of a genre in itself with how widespread it is. Do these people know anything about culture beyond gender bullshit and the - ist/-phobe lexicon from beginning to end, in reverse and upside down?

Side note, in the original you got an achievement for looking up Juliettes skirt. But sure, straight men dislike this.

There's male feminists but they aren't straight. They are soy.

Just so you know, old literature circa turn of the 19th century was also laden with self-insert characters and trashy situations. You know why? Because smut sells, this isn't a "oh my perfect society has been corrupted" situation you think it is.
Side note, or it was stupid depressing and just made you feel like you were reading a written therapy session.

My brain went to the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.

Hell, the 40s-70s were loaded with smut as far as literature goes as well. But there's a difference between a self insert badass character swinging a sword to save maidens on mars or whatever the fuck with a wannabe Boris Vallejo painting on the cover, and some danger haired lardass making John Wick seem like an amateur. Someone's fantasy self insert character in trashy literature years ago is not the same as someone's shitty self insert unimaginative bullshit in mainstream fiction today.

They're still selling it looks like. Although the prices are slightly less retarded.

I was curious as to who the biggest sucker of the bunch was, so I looked for the highest priced sold copy. Whoever this faggot is, I wonder if he's proud of his investment knowing what they're going for now (not that you should buy this coaster). Also it wasn't a lower offer accepted, as it points it out in the search results if that were the case - this guy actually paid $499.95 plus shipping for this shit.

You can tell the dikes don't get laid and have never bagged a valley girl before. Funny considering they're the daughters of those selfsame valley girls most of the time.

Also I heard Juliette's DT doesn't use Hey Mickey anymore? WHY.

Sounds very shady. Is there any proof?
Just his word at the moment, but it fits their operating M.O. Like what null experienced(girl talks), you have annoying as shit tranny activists calling and calling and calling. They will fire you to get them to stop bothering them and clogging the phonelines.
He was featured heavily on Asmongolds streams about it. As they could not touch Asmon, they went after the next target.

I have leftwing activists in my work and I know they’ve went after me but had to stop as I’m the only one who knows how a ton of systems work and they’re all too lazy to learn how to fill the gap me leaving would cause.

I’m glad I have sensible senior management in my place as this little hate campaign got me promoted to management when I ignored it and got on with things (well, I say ignored, I’ve subtly fucked the career of all the people who turn on me.)

I’m guessing if this guy is being honest he didn’t play the game properly and gave them ammunition.

Remember, these people are snakes. You just have to be smarter than they think they are. Take a deep breath and don’t react. Revenge is a dish best served cold and I can tell you eat bite tastes even more delicious the colder it gets.

If you’re in a situation like him, you have my sympathies. Stay strong, kiwi bros.

This is just my personal way of doing things, and I understand not everyone operates this way, but do not share anywhere online or IRL where you actually work if you can help it. Obvious exceptions being job interviews, your taxes, and things like that.

"So where do you work?"
"I work at a company as (x) and I manage and/or administrate this system that they use for (y)."

I have never had anyone push back saying "Well what company is it?" Most people don't need to know where you work, especially if somebody being able to call in and bitch about your views on the world is something you think is a possibility. I understand there are some professions where that's just not possible or practical, but I think once you get out of the frontline-type positions, it's really a lot easier to do. All in all, I think there's zero harm that can come from keeping the exact place you work to yourself (again, exception being looking for a new workplace), whereas advertising to the world where you depend on paychecks coming from simply has too much liability.

That's the most based way to win. They could in theory get rid of the person they hate so much for some reason, but that would require actually learning, and doing a lot more work. They can't work. Lol

This shit has been going on since the early 2000s with MMOs where people assume that a guy who picks a female character must be gay or something when the simple reality is for 90% of people... they don't want to stare at a man's ass for 3000 hours.

LinkedIn makes you dox yourself in this way. It's not like you can take it down when you're not using it.

Linkedin is for niggercattle. I deleted mine years ago and never had trouble finding a job without it.
Do people still use it other than recruitment agencies to spam people?

The only people I’ve known to use it have it absolute wankers. Maybe it’s different here in Bongland but I’ve never known anyone to get a job through one.

One guy got a contract through an agency and they made him set one up then he deleted it straight after he started.

It’s a massive security risk and the only people I can see it being of use to is spear phishers.

LinkedIn is one of the worst websites ever. It's just Facebook but for company executives.

If any employer requires you to have a LinkedIn profile, I generally write them off as not a company I want to be a part of. I know some companies do this, and it's so stupid. Requiring what is really at its core a social media profile as opposed to solely focusing on your qualifications is a red flag in my opinion.

Speaking of companies with retarded priorities, one time I was applying for a place, and they wanted me to fill out a short questionnaire (which in itself is a flag as your resume, cover letter and technical interview should be enough), but what was interesting to me was the questions pertaining to my skills and experience didn't require a response, but "What are your preferred pronouns?" did require a response. I ghosted them after that. Some places are gracious enough to tell you beforehand that you're walking into a DEI hellhole, or a company with it's priorities way out of check.

Also, back when I still had a profile there years ago, I had quite a few SALES PEOPLE from other companies contact my work email at the time, getting the contact info from LinkedIn, trying to sell us stuff. I eventually started asking these people how they got my info, and LinkedIn was the answer.

Okay last post from me about LinkedIn. Sorry about the shitting.

Linkedin premium works fine for finding contract work. It's gotten flooded full of AI spam lately though, it's not too difficult to filter those things out. You want to keep key people at reach, that's the only redeeming quality of that.
