Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh dies at 70

Conservative talk show radio host and Republican party icon Rush Limbaugh has died. He was 70 years old.

His wife Kathryn announced his passing on his radio show Wednesday, saying Limbaugh died earlier this morning.

“Rush will forever be the greatest of all time,” she said.

Limbaugh had been battling advanced lung cancer since February.

Back in October, Limbaugh provided this somber update on his show: “You know, I wake up every day and thank God that I did. I go to bed every night praying I’m gonna wake up. I don’t know how many of you do that, those of you who are not sick, those of you who are not facing something like I and countless other millions are.”

Former President Donald Trump awarded Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom during his most recent State of the Union address

This appearance only a few days after his he revealed his diagnosis on his show.

“I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with this, but the upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer,” Limbaugh said in February.

“The Rush Limbaugh Show” first aired in 1988.

You guys are all kind of fags tbh lol

Everyone is literally gay. When someone from the "other team" dies, they tapdance eagerly on their grave and then get mad when the same is done to their side. I personally don't care. I tap danced so hard on RBG's grave that I sprained an ankle, and I don't really give a shit if people do the same to Rush. But the double-standard is stupid.

I will not lie, I feel nothing over Limbaugh's death because I did not know the man personally nor did I listen to his show. Frankly, a lot of the heinous things he said were really no worse than many of the lefty lolcows I follow on this forum say on a daily basis because humans tends to be petty and small-minded. What really jars me is that social media has destroyed sense of propriety and self-control people have had and it truly matters little which side of the political spectrum they stand on. At its heart, grave dancing is always about assuaging one's ego and never out of genuine concern for others.

It wasn't because they took birth control. It was because they wanted tax-payers to pay for their birth control.
That like saying "hitter didn't hate the Jews, he just didn't like what they were doing to his country"

its not just wrong its missing the point

He was using their "loose Morales" as an vehicle for introducing his audience to conservatives tax ideas, sure rush prolly doesn't give a fuck in his heart of hearts but he knows his audience is full of people that will eat of a story about some dumb sluts that wanna use tax payer money for birth control, you know the same way some states have vasectomy's covered under standard government subsidized employment insurance

I wish we were allowed to use the Optimistic rating here because for every time someone calls Rush the king of talk show radio, I want to remind everyone he had a shortlived TV show and there was a reason it was shortlived: he can't handle hecklers :story:. He would also cut anyone off who would (rightfully) call him out on his shit. If he had a twitter account, he would prune and block people that didn't fellate him.

Wouldn't even call it a double standard.

Its more like Rush wanted to eat his cake and have it too. RBG was a conceited old hag bitch, but otherwise seemed to have a fair amount of decorum and from what I can tell, didn't really engage in much shit flinging.

I do hate the whole crowd that gives people a free pass on otherwise heinous things they do because they have some basic decorum *Cough, Obama*,

but on the other hand, the better comparison here is comparing Rush to someone like Howard Stern or even GG Allin. The dude literally made a career on being hypocritically irreverent (ie, abusing pills, while condemning drug addicts, being a good Christian man in the 90s when evangelism was huge, but when if you take a look at any of his divorces, hardly the case). People in the 90s loved how irreverent the guy was, how he spat on "political correctness", how he just fully embraced shock humor and everything associated with that. He did have some red pills and I can respect that, but the real thing thats amusing me right now is people suddenly doing a 180 and "omg you can't dance on his grave, look at this hypocrisy, he was a good boy, he dindu nuffin to deserve all this, he always acted respectful to everyone else, gays and the entire left need to treat his death with decorum, bla bla bla"

Like dude, you can't see how much cope that all is?

If liberals were complaining about conservatives making fun of someone like Stern when he died, that would be a double standard because they both based their career on trying to trigger the other side as much as possible. People need to chill and not be such snowflakes about the left's reaction to the dudes death- its pretty obvious hes the kind of guy they would dance on a grave for, and it does seem pretty clear that there are a lot of ways in which he set himself up for this kind of behavior from the left post-death.

I'm sorry if these bitches want me to give my tax payer money just so they can off there unborn babies. So he wasn't wrong

Yep. Rush was a horrible person. He called himself a Christian but acted in the exact opposite way that Jesus would want his followers to act. If Jesus were around today, he'd tell Rush to fuck off and stop using his name (he'd do the same for a lot of his followers today).

He should be given the same disrespect he gave others on their deaths. I hope there's a hell because Rush is burning in it if there is

On a side note, it's funny watchin the same retards that were mocking and celebrating RBG's death all assmad that people are celebrating Rush's death when Rush was a far more horrible person than she was

The 2020 election showed that the right-wingers were the true snowflakes all along. There was a PM chain on here of the Trumptards because they were upset that I dared to not like Trump and they didn't have a safe space (after they tried to get me banned for not liking Trump). Then, someone added me to it and they all shut up and started a new one :story:
Even though I don't agree with many of your positions, the point where people actually tried to get you banned for disliking Trump (despite Null himself also disliking him) was when I really got fed up with the hard right users on this site. Personally I couldn't care less if people laugh at Rush Limbaugh dying and I never listened to him, though the absolute grave dancing party Reddit was holding was amusing in its own way.

I wouldn't say the right were the true snowflakes all along as much as there's a massive amount of horseshoe theory. The hard left and hard right each have their own list of sacred cows and people on this site keep pushing them over to a chorus of REEEEE.

Not everyone tapdanced on RBG's grave, but if you did I agree that you can't complain when someone does it for a guy on your side. By that same token, people who complained about dancing on RBG's grave lose all moral superiority when they now tapdance all over Rush Limbaugh's.

Less him being anti-Trump. More he's a bitchy user

Nigger your tax payer dollars go to making sure Biden has a healthy cock

turns out you don't get to sign off on each and every single tax dollar you are required to pay

something something don't hate the player...

There have been ~10 posts already along the lines of "I literally know nothing about Limbaugh but when libs and leftoids gravedance I must stan, so sad, I would never!" – I'm not sure you're being morally superior to these people if you use his death to grandstand for internet stickers.

My favorite Rush quote: ''Exactly my point. This [Abu Ghraib] is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation, and we're going to ruin people's lives over it, and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time.''
Oh my gawd so sad he dieded of cansur. wow

You guys are all kind of fags tbh lol

The dude had a segment on his show where he would celebrate gay people dying of aids called "The AIDS Segment".

Like I get the hypocrisy the left generally has, but youre also holding leftoids to a standard that Rush, himself, didn't even embody. If people want to laugh at his death, fair enough. Its sad whenever anyone dies, but it'd be more hypocritical not to laugh at the guys death when he laughed at other peoples.
Woah buddy, you're going pre-Twitter, you must be super woke.

" your honor my client, Baked Alaska's alleged crimes were short lived and he has since offered apology, do I need to remind you that all of these event took place during YOBA?
The worst thing Baked did was being a fagggot. Last I checked, they have parades and ads celebrating bigger faggots on children's networks.

Christ, even after you bitched to Null about your neg-rates you're still dropping truth bombs on us. Dude, you're so fucking smart.
