Context: Nyk originally started out debating creationists with the Youtube Atheism community, but he got bored with that and turned his attention to a new target, Alex Jones fans. Alex Jones was huge on Youtube back then, if you searched any political topic or news topic you inevitably came upon an Alex Jones video, and he made sure he was very hard to ignore by asking his fans to mirror his videos all over the place. Nyk debated Alex Jones fans on everything from 9/11 conspiracy theories, anti-vaccination theories, etc. Alex Jones was a huge climate change denier, so Nyk's interest in debating climate change goes all the way back to this series of videos targeting Alex Jones fans. Do not think that he's doing anything new here. Nyk is touching on the same topics he was addressing back then, just with less content and more bells and whistles this time.

What I want want to highlight from the above video is this part:

"I grew up in the Washington DC area, I was just under 13 years old in Sept 2001 and class mates of mine lost their parents in the attack on the Pentagon. (...) Nyk didn't actually grow up in Washington DC, he grew up in Vienna, Virginia, which is a small town in the midst of what is basically Pentagon county in Virginia. If you look closely at the Cultural Appropriation video, there is a still of Nyk when he still had dreadlocks from when he was a teen in Vienna. The sign in the background of that picture says "Vienna".


Nyk was surrounded by milgov and intel growing up in that part of Virginia while the War on Terror was unfolding during the George W Bush administration, hence the friends whose parents died in the attack on the Pentagon. Why would Nyk lie in a video about where his ass was actually from and where he actually grew up this early in his Youtube career? Because he was ashamed of admitting that he was from Virginia and wanted his audience to believe that he was a worldly lefty activist townboy from DC? This is one of the earliest instances of Nyk lying about himself to cover up who he really is. Unlikely. My impression is that women just decide he's a sad sack of a human being and a damaged man, so they just up and leave and never look back. He's not even worth having revenge on. Also, he seems to know when to stop to avoid taking things too far. Like the way he left Northwestern when the Peter Ludlow scandal happened to avoid becoming the next Peter Ludlow. He realized that he could no longer party with the undergrads in Chicago like he used to at Georgetown, so rather than risk it he played it safe and got out before the students could turn against him. He realized that the undergrads at Northwestern were too uppity for his liking so he left, then invented this bullshit story he told in the Why I Left Academia video, claiming that he spontaneously decided in the midst of PhD studies that philosophy was "a guided tour of history's most boring homosexuals" (supposedly it took him two years to realize that) and that he hated his racist professor at Northwestern, when these were just excuses he made up to avoid discussing how the Peter Ludlow scandal affected him and the way he saw the students. But it's undeniable that the Peter Ludlow scandal affected him, because he brought up in a Livestream with his mancrush PhilosophyTube that he later deleted to cover up. I suspect he did the philosophy PhD because it was an easy way to earn a degree, earn a living, while continuing his drunken partying lifestyle. Same reason he's a Youtuber now, it's easy money and it does not impede his addictions and mindless self-indulgence.

There is also no reason why people should be legally forced to cater to confused youngsters who identify as "enbies" because they like things not typically associated with their sex. There is something going on that I wanted to bring up. Nyk has deleted his Livestream with his BDSM friend Brittany.
The title of the Livestream was "BDSM & Kink: Surprise Stream With Brittany Simon". It was originally posted here.
This was the Livestream where he told Brittany and his audience about how much he enjoyed being involved in foursomes #nohomo which was followed by a discussion about what counts as group sex and how he used to attend orgies where guys stood around "on
the sidelines masturbating furiously" - commonly known as a "jerk circle", which is a staple of the gay sex scene, but Nyk is totally #nohomo or anything for standing around watching guys jack off.

I suspected that something was up because Brittany posted this video where she described how alienated she felt being around Nyk and Lindsay at VidCon. She said that Lindsay views Youtube as a job, is only interested in making money and only wanted to talk about her subscriber count and page views. Despite her reputation for being an SJW Youtuber, Lindsay didn't want to talk about feminism or activism with Brittany at all:
