Cooking with Kat (and DSP) thread

1)Phil is mostly Polish and Anglo Saxon (denoting the Germanic inhabitants of England from their arrival in the 5th century up to the Norman Conquest. His Surname having Anglo Saxon origins ). He has very little Mediterranean roots as far as can be gleaned from his personal statements up until 2017 where he suddenly came up with an Italian name despite the fact he only has one recipe for a pasta sauce AND professes to enjoy "chicken alfredo" which is a 100% an American invention with absolutely 0% of Italians or even 1/2 Italians claiming to have ever eaten this no less having enjoyed it as chicken is not a meat served with pasta and neither is that 'sauce' outside of America ( Milan or Rome for the Tourists ).
2) It is more people/cultures that do not ingest dairy into adulthood than a loss of an enzyme over time that show marked increases in Lactose intolerance ( ie Asian/Polynesian cultures exempting Mongolians who have kept and developed dairy products such as yogurts and fermented tard cum beverages . Humans have been ingesting dairy past infancy for as long as ruminative animals have been domesticated with little to no ill effects outside of individuals who demonstrate an intolerance.

It could just mean that lactose intolerance is starting to catch up with him. It strikes a lot of people in their 20's and 30's and it typically just gets worse from there. Usually they're able to take a little bit of dairy including ice cream. Yogurt and other fermented dairy products like kefir as well as aged cheese typically are okay.

And those people that like dairy can continue to eat it if they wind up using a lactase enzyme like Lactaid.

Most folks who find themselves needing to find $4k in less than a week for their 1st quarter 2018 taxes while knowing they will need even more money to pay off another tax debt for not paying taxes for 3.5 years would cut back on their grocery bills. Phil, has two chicken burgers on fresh Hawaiian buns with lettuce, tomato ( in April ) and red onion. For dinner another night, he and his gf sample several exotic chicken sausages on rolls.
When I find I need to make ends meet, I too eat chicken sausages...in the form of store brand chicken hotdogs on slices of white bread with ketchup and mustard from packets I took from a local Fast Food chain. Ground chicken burgers and fancy paprika and Manchego cheese sausages? Fresh, specialty rolls with three different fresh vegetables? Not making those ends meet doing this. My best advice to Phil would be to buy some Store Brands, check the 'must sell' bread cart and get Kat to crack open her Betty Crocker cookbook for some budget meals and watch ( https://www.youtube.com/user/DepressionCooking ) with Clara.

Been a while since this thread has been updated, due to a lack of Kat actually cooking anything. With the revelation that Phil will be buying Schwan's meals from now on, let's take a look at what our manchild will be eating. So GoutsydePhil actually ordered two Schwan's meals: the roasted turkey wish mashed potatoes and the prime rib shepherd's pie.

DSP frozen dinners.jpg

Needless to say, they look like your typical TV dinners, only in larger portions and at an even more inflated cost. Phil will be paying $16 almost every day for just one meal (and there's no way these aren't devoured in a single night). It's roughly $4,000 from now until the end of the year. Phil is such a lazy fuck that he could spend half that much, and have better, fresh, homecooked meals if he bothered to put in a little bit of effort. Then again, this is probably gourmet shit for him ("wow dood, it's prime rib so you know it's good!"). It also shows he is not at all struggling financially if he can do this and still pay all of his bills.

the amount of money Phil is wasting on these overprice tv dinners, he could go out, buy his food and prep his food for the week.

Weren't those things like 2+ lbs apiece? I hope that's not actually a single serving. :cryblood:

Why doesn't he do this already though? He or Kat could just make a bunch of food freeze or store it and Phil can just reheat it. He doesn't seem to have an issue with leftovers.

Two reasons:

1.) Phil is too lazy to cook things that isn't his sauce and would probably state that he needs multiple days off in order to have time to prep all that food.
2.) Phil has horrendous long-term planning skills. He wants the quick fix at all times, and will happily piss away money on overpriced TV dinners.

It's like what Phil used to say in his cooking with king videos "I'm a hardcore gamer I doesn't have time to cook, I have all those games to play".
Back in the day when I was trying to cut some weight, I would go to my full time job. Come back. Make a week worths of meals. Go to the gym, come back and eat. Only had to do it once a week and it made every other day so much more fluid. Especially when you are just cutting weight because a lot of it is chicken and you just make other sides to go with it. I've actually gotten back into that and it doesn't stop me from making it to my full time job at all.

He'd be better off health wise ordering from a service such as Blue Apron seeing as going out to do grocery shopping is apparently so incredibly exhausting and time consuming for this busy, busy couple. Unfortunately, either DSP or The SoulMaid would have to actually prepare the meal, so I don't see that as an option. This pre-made frozen food delivery is so that neither of them has to cook while freeing up that day DSP takes off to go grocery shopping for other things like $15.00 bowls of ramen at the Mall or perhaps driving the 30-45 mins ALL the way to Seattle for some 'real shopping and dining' in the big city.

Going by the portion sizes shown in DSP's Instagram pics, I'd say that he would consider the Turkey and Mashed potatoes package to be a single serving.

Who the fuck not only takes pictures of frozen family meals but brags about how expensive they are.

Prime Rib Shepherd’s Pie? Really? Chef Ramsay would have a field day with that.

The 'Homemade chili from scratch...'
or McCormick's Big Game Chili:

We've seen that both of them cut veg with a Paring Knife* which results in the onion chunks instead of using the right tool for the job ( aka a Chef 's knife or Santoku knife ) and I am guessing the blobs that are not meat nor canned kidney beans ( as the recipe on the back of the seasoning packet lists ) are canned stewed tomatoes from the pantry that are there for his 'authentic Polish/Italian' red sauce.

I know Phil is a squawking infant. I know he loves to piss money away. I know his Participants will swallow anything. But, goddamn it, the thing that irritates me the most is that he is gonna say that shit is healthy. I know he will. I should assume he already has.

Do you know the dinner I could make you for $16? In, maybe 4 minutes?

Edit: how much salt is in that? I swear to god. Gout is gonna be the least of it.

Looks like Kat took a dump in a bowl and told him to eat up.

He mentioned Lobster Bisque and Ceasar Salad as healthy meals he has been having.... So, I don't math, and would be delighted to have someone with superior weaponised autism to check me:

So, according to myfitnesspal, Kirkland Signature lobster bisque contains, per half container, 925 calories, 78g of fat, 18g of sugar, and 1,85 grams of salt.

Ok.

Again, using myfitnesspal, and choosing a fairly arbitrary restaurant, (marketside? I am foreign, whatever) a half container of Caesar salad has 260 calories, 21g of fat, 1g of sugar, .60g of salt.

So that one meal exceeds his daily salt intake, is half his days' sugar intake, and is well beyond recommended fat for a whole day. The meal has about 9g of fibre. As for his daily protein needs, it's not bad. And I think it's safe to assume his didn't have water with it.

So, for that to be a healthy lunch or dinner, his breakfast must have been like, one egg and a cup of water and his other meal to have been a baked skinless chicken breast with a huge pile of spinach. Which I motherfucking doubt.

I am playing fast and loose with all this, but I think I make a point.

Edit: Dude, this is why all us bitches be so fat. Processed & ready prepared food tastes 'good' because it is fatty & salty. And full of sugar. Real food comes naked & involves chopping things. And real food involves fibre. Constipation meds should not be a billion dollar industry.

Edit Edit: @Raven'sChild you are much better at this...

Broken Gout Mechanics.

Fat fucking bastard.

He was getting around 500 people a stream for a while there. Is it possible that Swagginz girl banned 150-200 people? All well top cheer was $5 and top tip had two people tied at $1, so that $7 should cover those delivered corn dogs, right?

Edit: Never mind...https://www.schwans.com/products/product?id=57006

2nd Edit to avoid double posting. Was curious after seeing Phil said he at bacon wrapped pork tenderloins, and wouldn't you know https://www.schwans.com/products/product?id=58222
COULD it be that JamFlowMan hit the nail on the head as to why there was no Insta-Google-Tweet posted about this meal? I denote a lack of crediting the SoulMaid for cooking this meal as well. Can one speculate that Dave has been caught not looking a gift horse, buying a pig in a poke?

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth*
( * How do folks EDIT their posts !?! )
Sorry for the double post v.v
