Gene Wolfe or 40k lore articles?Hierophant. You seen this word if you ever took a look at Tarot cards, it's someone with religious authority. The Pope is a kind of Hierophant, in fact the card used to be called The Pope.
Cenobite. You probably know this word because of Hellraiser. I had to look it up to see if it's a real word or not. Cenobites are a religious order that lived in communes. Basically monks who think the hermit life was too lonely.
Neither, surprisingly.Gene Wolfe or 40k lore articles?
My submission: "Querulant", a complaining loudmouth who feels wronged. A word for the "I want to talk to the manager" type of person.
Interesting, I've only seen it used in the third definition."Misericord" means:
1. The relaxation of monastic rules, i.e. a room where fasting monks can eat and drink.
2. A support attached to a chair in a church for someone to lean on.
3. A narrow dagger used to put dying knights out of their misery.
From the Latin word for mercy, misericordia (lit. "pityheart"). This word's notable for having three meanings that are somewhat detached from each other. It would make a cool username.
