This one was a real bugger to make! Especially the intro. Anyway in this episode we go in to the past to see how it all began. iHope you enjoy as this took forever to do and a few sceenes didn't come out exactly as i planned but anyway here ya go! Credits (in order of appearance): Ashley Cook: MoonBeam Gabe's YT: MoonFish Rubyq06: Red Myself: Machine voice, TeeDee. Software used: Paint.NET (scanning and enhancing the drawings) Adobe Flash CS5 (animation) Adobe Premiere 6.5 (editing and putting everything together) Audacity (sound recording and sound editing) OpenMPT (music)

Y'all ready for lashings of Clement?

in this video Ill be experiments with converting between balanced and unbalanced signals. the reason: On my Fostex DAT recorder, the analog inputs and outputs are balanced XLR only, and of course the rest of my equipment uses standard non balanced line inputs and outputs. So in this video I attempt to make a small modification to add line inputs and outputs to the DAT so I can easily use it with the rest of my equipment. I did intend to upload this video in one big part, but due to my stupidity with the video editor I rendered both parts as xvid AVI files that I can't stitch together, and I also rendered them at the wrong resolution without realizing until it was to late and by then I'd already deleted the source footage (all 21 GB of it). It's probably better uploading in a more "bite sized" chunks like this anyway.

In this video I perform the modifications that I talked about in part 1. If you haven't seen that video yet, please watch that one first because this won't make much sense otherwise. Also I apologize for some shots being a bit dark, my camera shoots a little sharper if I adjust the f.stop and make it a little darker than normal, but I overdid it a bit.

Well I thought I would do a few more experiments with switch-mode power supply type circuits. This time I thought I would try to design and make a buck boost converter using a TL494 IC and a few other parts. I can't take full credit for the circuit though, as it was inspired by a circuit I saw in another YouTuber's video. It didn't go exactly according to plan, the "buck-boost" part works a treat but as for trying to get regulated output via feedback to the PWM, well that didn't work all that well but I still got a few somewhat interesting results. SCHEMATICS ARE IN THE VIDEO, so please dont ask for them, just take a screen-cap of the video if you want them. I'm not done with trying to make this work properly, I still have some ideas to try out, so if I get it to work there will be a follow up video some time in the near future.

Clems channel doesn't seem as entertaining anymore, he needs some drama to spice it up a bit and some more vlogs.

His electronics videos are the worst, I never watch them.
I hope he goes back to feuding with Sammy or being angry at his chav neighbours, that's premium entertainment.
I don't know what's going on but several channels I used to follow for lulz have gotten stale in the past few months, many still pump out videos but the channels themselves are dead in terms of content and comments. Much of Clem's original audience probably moved on years ago and there doesn't seem to be anyone replacing them, not surprising given the ages involved.

Is a new generation of true lolcow even possible anymore? Think I read it in one of the Chris threads that people like Chris (and Clem) appeared during a golden era of the internet where the balance between social media and isolation was just right.

Clement's high voltage stuff had its charms, what with watching him occasionally catch things on fire and worrying he'd burn down his mother's house or seriously electrocute himself.

I miss Tube Time.

His plasma speaker adventures were pretty entertaining too, lots of people watched looking for the best sounding schematics to try for themselves. Clems implementations of the circuits always had their own little quirks that made them unique.

Its when it turned into the biggest arc contest that things started getting a bit dangerous.

Our hero has spent a decade of his valuable time on youtube trying to educate and entertain the unwashed masses.

I can't believe it either, but today my YouTube channel turns 10 years old! So I thought I would do a behind the sceenes video to show how Cool Dude Clem's Electronic Workshop and my cartoons are made. So ten years and still going strong. Also I thought I'd try something new by putting some SYNTHWAVE/CHILLWAVE music in the background since I've recently discovered it and got into it, and I think it also makes nice background music. Sorry about the screenshots being a bit blurry for the first half of the video, in my infinite stupidity I didn't check the settings, so premiere went and de-interlaced them making them look bad, oh well, live and learn.

Yep, just as the title says. So I just thought it might be interesting to experiment with a couple of different ways of powering one of these without using any kind of switch-mode driver. So I experiment with constant current circuit and a capacitive dropper. Anyway I have serious sleep problems and I think part of the reason is because of what I use as my bed side light, which has a cool white output, so maybe if I use this LED instead which has a warm white output it might help. Although the sun is usually starting to come up by the time I put my light out but anyway. If you like these videos and want to see more, please do yourself a favor and hit that subscribe button! You'll be glad you did. Also why is this file I'm uploading so large? It's only 16 minutes long yet it's half a gigabyte!

Clement tries to repair a grimy looking telly

Clement said:
Well, my LCD TV that I've had for over 10 years has finally bit the dust and rather than repair it, I thought I'd repair another, but much better TV instead. Our old TV from downstairs has no picture but if I can fix it, it will be better than the TV I had.

Clementine Saggers said:
I decided to split the video into two parts because if your attention span is anything like mine, I just can't sit though anything more than 15 minutes. Anyway this is part 2 of the fixing the TV video, so can I get the TV to display a picture again?

Clem could easily turn this into a little side business, if he got the right parts and wore gloves then that repair could of been semi-professional.

At one point, the owner of an electronics repair shop near Clem's house actually offered him a job, but he didn't reply to his messages. It's several pages back on this thread, I don't have the time right now to go digging though.

Clement doesn't want to work.
Whilst he is fairly inept when it comes to PC's, he'll be serviceable repairing broken solder joints.

So Clem couldn't even be bothered to thank them and decline the offer? How do you know all this btw?

Well Clems TV fix didn't last long and he's been tinkering with voltage converters again.

If he hadn't of blocked me on youtube then he might of been able to see my comment about reducing the back-light brightness to ease the stress on the LED's. But that would of been constructive criticism which Clem doesn't take too kindly.

Also he spent 30gbp on new equipment, maybe Clem should give Chris some financial planning tips to balance keep and play.

Clement hasn't slept well for several days, I wonder if the chavs next door are keeping him awake?

I got a sort of request to do a video on how I wind coils for projects that use inductors and gate drive transformers, I'm not very good at explaining things but I'll give it my best shot so here it is. I show how to wind the coils and do some tests on some of them. It's a little long and waffley and I was very tired when I made this as I haven't slept well for several days.

Clement said:
Well I thought it was about time to get back to doing more Tesla Coil Experiments, so I thought I'd try a circuit I found on the internet and see if it's any good. It's basically a beefed up Slayer Exciter on steroids! So let's see how well it works.

Doing a sort of "Big Clive" style video here. The switch for the shower in the bathroom no longer works, so I replaced it and decided to make a video taking a look inside the old switch and see if I can find out what went wrong.

Clem should of stuck with that sponsor thing, he might of actually made some money for a change and it would of given him something to work toward.
