I meant the benefit and mom stuff more over the longer period of time. Of course the government isn't going to send him a letter this week saying he has to get a job or receive no benefits, and of course his mom isn't going to drop dead tomorrow. But at some point in the future the first thing could happen and the second will of course happen in a few decades. When Clem is 50, I really wonder where he'll be.

As for his garbage hunting, trash picking is not really something I look down on. Some people can get valuable materials out of old, trashed devices and resell those for some money. Or repair trashed things and save the landfill some space. Good things. But Clem is going to stick it somewhere in his room or shed, making a mess again. Oh, and he won't clean the stuff, because like most cows, he doesn't know what hygiene is.

I love this comment by a subscriber of his. Because he's obviously not going to respond.

In a council house with his mother.
Unless she throws him out or dies (which seems unlikely), they won't have to move.
Clem is rapidly approaching 40 (he is 35 or so), I don't think anything will change.
Once his mother dies he will be a "ward of the state" and rot in a small bedsit, even if he is on benefits.
There is a shortage of jobs for unskilled workers, and Clem has no qualifications aside from being a shut-in.

Yea, there's even shows like Junk Raiders that are all about re-using trash and making it into something useful, but with Clem, he's just taking garbage and hoarding up his place. As for not cleaning stuff, I wonder if Clem has, or will have bed bugs from all the garbage he drags home?

Oh jeez, he took the floppies and the busted magnifying lamp after his commenters begged him to grab those too. His commenters can only make it worse.
Also, this must be the first time Clem's mother (not counting the cartoon version of course) has an appearance in a video, even if it's audio only.

EDIT: After downloading an MP3 of the video and amplifying the part Clem's mother was shouting to Clem, I figured out what she said: "Clem, do you think you can get this damn fire on? Cus-". That's where it cuts off, the reversed audio is just that same bit.

I take it the electric fire [what space heaters are called in the U.K.] is broken, faulty or whatever, and Clem's mom thinks that he should be trusted to fix it or turn it on. Yea, I would totally let Clem dick with a malfunctioning heater and then use it in my house!

Or the stove? Wouldn't want Clem to mess with that either. I couldn't decipher her ramblings afterwards, as it was too muffled and Clem was talking over it too. Wonder why Clem left it in, he has always strictly avoided getting his (real life) mother on camera or audio, all of the sudden he doesn't care enough to wait 'till she's done rambling.

I thought It's about time to dig out the old Philips N4308 and give it the electrical overhaul it's been needing ever since I got it. I'm not sure how old this is but I would guess late 60's or early 70's. Anyway, the speaker didn't work and although it records and plays, the sound is a little muffled. So I went ahead and saw to those, even going so far as doing a "CoolDudeClem" modification, but nothing that anyone back in the day wouldn't have done.. Fortunately everything mechanical had already been serviced so I didn't have any gooey belts to contend with, witch is a common problem on old Philips equipment. There was some residue from what I can only assume was an old belt that had melted, and of course that stuff does not wash off easily if you get any of it on you, as I found out.

Back in the late 60's/early 70's they did seem to make some nice looking equipment.

Oh, I forgot to add the CoolDudeClem's Electronic Workshop intro, welp, too late to go back and change it now!

New videos, Clement was sent something from his mate Stefan0719 :

Just a little follow up, i thought this time I'd channel the output into a radio and see (or rather hear) what happens, this was also so I could check that the higher frequencies work. For quickness I edited this on Virtualdub instead of Adobe Premiere, so that's why the picture goes all "slide show" for a couple of seconds at the points where I edited.

Stephan 0719 got this for me one of these from an aBay auction, It is a radio frequency signal generator, with audio modulation. I think it also has a function to do audio modulation from an audio source or maybe morse code, but I couldn't get that to work. Everything else works, although I still need to do a little work on it to get it fully working as it should, the waveforms at the lower frequencies are a little distorted, that's probably due to the age of the transistors in it, at first I thought it was a low battery, but I get that even when powering off a stable supply. Unfortunately I don't have any suitable replacement transistors right now.

But anyway thanks to Stefan 0719 for sending me this, I'm sure it will come in handy.

Why did he use a version of Windows 2000 meant for datacenters? Also, why do these people always stick with such ancient operating systems? Mylar uses Windows 98, and there's way too many people who are still using Windows XP.
(huhuh, given Mylar's interests, we can say he uses "Windows CP" lol)

I don't quite get why he wants to run games on a W2K version for servers either. Database servers run headless (no monitor attached) or only require a simple desktop interface or command line, so no shit it will not have any form of graphic acceleration available. He's literally taking a product and using it for something it is not intended to do. It's like installing a command line operated server version of Linux on your granny's laptop. Yeah, it runs, but it isn't going to let her check her email and Facebook, is it?
If he so insists on running a Windows 2000 or similar Windows version, why not just the normal Professional version or just XP? It just once again goes to show that he has some bizarre reasoning.

It's because of :autism:

His ever suffering mom must be thrilled with the latest trash picked addition to Clems room. After spending all that money on home improvements all she wanted was a clutter free house that doesn't smell like the local electronics waste dump.
