Did she delete the fundraiser or her entire account? Either way I'm reasonably certain she's committing fraud of some kind.

Oh, they are absolutely committing fraud at this point. I still have my suspicions with the original Steve GFM (which is still up) and them using some of it on a new couch. This, however, is pretty open and shut. That’s a lot of money for an aborted surgery attempt that has disappeared.

If they bothered to so much as write an update detailing the fallout and offer refunds or even to allocate funds elsewhere, that would’ve helped so much right there. Instead, they quietly DFE’d hoping no one would notice. With this simple act, Coco and J have proven themselves at best to be dishonest and at worst scammers.

While someone can make more than one fundraiser per account, it is next to impossible to access someone’s profile page because they do not exist on GoFundMe. Look at this:

(Archiving this fundraiser again because why not)

Those two points with Corissa’s name are theoretically where you’d find the link to a profile page. But there are no links to click. Best you can do is contact her. Juliana is denying even that option to her donors. She has effectively taken the money and ran.

I can’t see most of her donors bothering to follow through or ask for refunds beyond a single meek comment. It’s a scummy move all the same. I hope they blew it all on the shitty, unusable bathroom.

You guys are being way too hard on J. Clearly the trauma of being denied life ending saving tiddy chop surgery has caused J to spiral and she can't discuss giving back the money because then you're just re-traumatizing her by making her acknowledge the situation. Remember that asking trannies or Pooners to recognize reality is basically genocide, guys. We need to let her sit with the healing powers of doordash and anything else is literal violence, guys.

I guess it depends on how she phrased things too. If she put in "and any related expenses," she should be in the clear. Self-soothing Door dash isn't what people immediately think of, of course, but the argument could be made. Still a dick move.
She specifically said it was for the airbnb and surgery costs and that incedentals were being covered by her and Corissa.

"There are still coinsurance, surgeon, and facility fees associated with top surgery, even after health insurance approval. And because I have to travel out of state and stay in the Bay Area for upwards of two weeks to attend a post-op appointment, the cost of lodging is going to be quite high. I've included a breakdown of expected costs below:

Coinsurance to GCC fee: $3000
Medical center fee: $3000
Anesthesiologist: $900
Airbnb/lodging: $2500

My partner and I have saved enough to cover our airfare, meals, and car rental (approximately $3000), but we need help getting the rest of the way there!"

Lmao fraud then. She just needs one donor to start asking questions.

I don't care that people who donated money for a morbidly obese woman to mutilate herself aren't going to get a refund, but I think it's funny that she complained about how capitalist the medical system is only to turn around and pocket thousands in donations for a surgery she is no longer even going to have.
I'm surprised they don't have a strategy here, other than complete silence. Also surprised nobody in the sphere of dramatic fat ladies is picking up on this.

Could they try "we've decided not to refund the money, but to give it to a pooner who can have surgery" as a face-saving dodge? Pick the right pooner, swear her to secrecy about the amount of money received--if it's enough for her surgery the surplus that J and Corissa ate need never be mentioned.

Not refunding the money, and memory-holing the fundraiser entirely without even offering to give refunds, is a very short-sighted move, and will end up biting Juliana in the ass.

Most of the people who donated to her don't have much to give, but they did it anyway, and yes, they will remember this. They may not speak up, because they don't want to appear "selfish," especially not after poor Juliana has suffered such a devastating setback. But a lot of them are still going to wonder why they weren't even given the option of a refund, and many of them will resent it.

So when Juliana posts another Gofundme in the future, for whatever reason, they're going to remember that, and not donate.

It's too bad nobody had the guts to say, "I'm sorry you've been denied surgery. But I would like to be able to help somebody else get the care they so desperately need; will you be giving refunds, so we can use that money to support other trans people?"

But the thing is, nobody should have had to ask. The proper thing to do would have been to offer refunds. A lot of her donors would have been happy with that alone, and said, "No, it's okay; keep the money"; when you're transparent with people and give them a choice, they're more likely to feel generous toward you. But keeping the money, making no further mention of it, and shutting down the entire fundraiser as if it didn't happen at all? Bad move.

But then again, she lives with Corissa, who charged higher admission fees to Fat Camp with the stated goal of using the extra funds to subsidize POC attendance at future Fat Camps. Fat Camp is "on hiatus" for 2025, and you can't tell me it's ever coming back, so what happened to all of that extra money that was supposed to allow historically oppressed black and brown people to attend? LOL, yeah, I guess we know where the funds for that shitty bathroom remodel came from.

When Corissa wants aquamation for J's massive bloated corpse and an aesthetic, progressive™, gender affirming funeral for J, I hope people remember. She should be direct cremated and put in a cardboard urn like any useless person. Now I gotta research if J can actually get aquamation there...
Alkaline hydrolysis was legalized in Kansas in 2011 when the state expanded its definition of cremation to include other methods than just “direct exposure to intense heat and flame” (Kansas Statutes § 65-1760.). No funeral homes in Kansas currently offer aquamation. However, it is offered in Kansas City, Missouri

TL;DR apparently it's legal in Kansas but nowhere in the state offers it for humans yet.

I don't know if they really will remember. There's just SO MUCH trans e-begging out there, it's got to be hard to remember which ones you actually gave $10 to. Especially considering how many are recurring and for rent/groceries/hormones/"escaping a toxic living situation".

She knew her furnace didn't work properly, and she still chose to waste money wrecking her bathroom instead of fixing the damn furnace??! Her priorities are even more warped than I'd thought.
We can enjoy the go fund me for two brave people of gender to fix their heating now that it’s vaguely cooler and their bathroom floor is rotting through

Depending on what's wrong with the furnace ("a hole was burned in it..." What and how), it'll either need fixed ($$) or replaced ($$$) professionally. That's not the sort of thing you can DIY or even hire a local handyman to fix. Unless you're trying to suffocate your transmasc "spouse" while she works all day in the CO-filled basement. Which, well. Maybe.
