So this is a weird one. I don't even fully understand the story around this guy, to be honest but I'm going to try to fill you guys in. Trust me, this gets strange.

Full disclosure: I do have a personal stake in this weirdo, which will be explained below.

Cory Machado claims to be a soccer superstar and the owner of "Real Portugal FC." Unfortunately this soccer team does not exist and he does not play soccer, at any level. He also claims to own an energy drink company and a headphone company. The headphone company appears to be completely fictional except for a non-functioning website. The energy drink is a pyramid scheme that he seems to be involved in. Cory speaks with an American accent and claims to live in America though he appears to have some connection with Portugal.

He mainly expresses his spergery on his Twitter account. The first thing you will notice is that he has 1.3 million followers on his main account. This makes him the 638th most popular person on Twitter. He's even verified, strangely enough.

In his effort to come off as a soccer superstar, he has an army of bots that both promote him and also make finding any "real" information about him an absolute nightmare:

He also has a "Fan" twitter where he endlessly retweets things like this:

The official twitter for "Real Portugal FC" has 62K followers and frequently makes tweets about games that are never played. The tweets almost always involved Cory Machado, his dubious energy drink "Neon" or his apparently fictional headphones company "MJ Dubs."

His soundcloud has 5 uploads. They all have in excess of 100K listens, and one his over a million. All the while he somehow only has 58 followers. On each upload, comments are left saying things along the lines of "great song" or "nice tune" despite the fact that none of the uploads are songs, rather they are interviews and speaking segments.

So he's just some moron on the internet that talks a big game and buys twitter followers, right? Well, allow me to tell you how this creep on my radar. One of my various side-hustles involves managing and marketing cam-girls. One of them had a few encounters with Cory Machado - he originally seemed to be a typical idiot who was willing to give gifts to pretty women, but things got kind of wild pretty quickly. Cory, having found the dox on this girl, sent someone to her house to "check" on her (Yes, police have been notified.) This person may have been Cory himself but we don't know for sure. On one hand, it is absurd to think that he'd pay or hire someone to do this, but on the other hand, he has clearly sunk a great deal of money into this image of himself he's created online.

When she confronted him later, he created a new e-mail account to respond to her and sent some bizarre screeds about how she needed to be "looked after" because he didn't approve of the neighborhood that she lives in. I can't post the e-mails that responded with, but they read precisely like a stereotypically unhinged and obsessed stalker.

After looking into this guy, not only did I find that his claims of fame and success are obviously false, but more interestingly, he's fooled some rather high profile people with his scam.

The most prominent example is probably Taeler Hendrix - you probably don't know the name, but she is moderately famous in professional wrestling circles. She looks this:

I don't know what the endgame is on this particular scam or what their "relationship" is, but she constantly retweets his stuff.

Dominic Rhodes, NFL player has also fallen for his scam:

Professional boxer Austin Trout:

He also has some "testimonials" floating around - they look like the kind of thing that could be bought off of Fiverr.,

I'm still trying to figure this sperg out, but honestly I wanted to share this with you guys to get a few more eyes on this bizarre twitter hole.

I'm so ready for someone to finally expose this fuck. He's had it too good for too long.

It's shit heads like this that make soccer nonexistent in the States

Is he a known person? I honestly just heard of this guy two days ago. I can't figure out if this is a profit motivated scheme or just simple megalomania.

Not sure if this is a cow, but it's a hell of a rabbit hole.

Also, hope your employee's (would this be an appropriate term?) alright.

Yeah, I don't know either. I can't say this guy has ever really chimped, but it doesn't appear that anyone has ever really exposed his game in a major way.

(And yeah, she's good. All the safety/legal issues have been taken care of.)

He's known somewhat by me but I get really tilted whenever I hear about his bullshit soccer team scams. He's like soflo except a fuckin fake coach.

Looks like his business is selling Chinese knockoff Beats headphones. The design is extremely similar, and it looks like the only real change that's been made is to the logo and plastic casing. He likely imports these in bulk from Hong Kong. I have a friend who's brother used to do the same thing with dab rig parts.

Glad your friend is ok. That must have been terrifying for her. This guy sounds like he wants to be rich and famous, and failed at those things, so he created a persona, and I wonder if he now believes it's true, or if he knows it's all a lie. Scammers who've drunk their own Kool-Aid are fascinating to watch.

Kid grew up in my town. Glad someone else is starting to see that everything isn't adding up. I just want to know what the point of all of this is.

Are you comfortable saying which town that is?
