Careercow Cory Machado - Owns fake football team, prolific webtraffic purchaser, NPWL Wrestler, camgirl stalker and "brand."

Apparently, this guy is involved in running a wrestling promotion or he IS the boss. It's a little fed called
NPWL - National Pro Wrestling League. They're apparently trying get on TV with this. Cory's girlfriend seems to be in on whatever Cory is trying to pull here. She tweeted at Destination America, saying "Your viewer's miss me. I guarantee this show, will have the best ratings."

This already seems stupid on the surface, but gets even dumber when you realize that DA didn't have a great time with wrestling. She worked at Ring of Honor, which only briefly aired on Destination America, and despite my feelings on the show, the fact is that it got poor ratings and was dropped, along with TNA Impact by the end of 2015. The latter was basically a total lolcow of a company at the time, but you can look up "LOLTNA history" if you're curious about that. In short, Destination America tried pandering to its redneck audience by bringing in pro wrestling, but instead ended up wasting their time with TNA Impact (a show that was too expensive, hard to sell advertisement time on, and was run by an utter fool of a president) and ROH (a show that basically no one watched on that channel). Now that I think about it, DA probably don't want to go near pro wrestling again.

Anyways, back to our boy, Cory. NPWL has a youtube page, and shares some of its matches there. Smart move, Taeler is kind of a draw if the numbers on ROH's youtube channel can be trusted. I looked up "Taeler Hendrix vs" and happened to find Taeler Hendrix Vs Gisele Shaw from NPWL's youtube channel. Sure enough, likes and dislikes are disabled, along with the comments. I guess our boy knows his real reputation. One of the other videos there is titled "Cory Machado Vs Sinn Bodhi" - which doesn't actually have Machado wrestling much.

I skimmed through it, even by wrestling standards, this took too fucking long to do what it was meant to do. Basically, it turned into a match between actual pro wrestler Hernandez vs Sinn Bodhi. I didn't finish it, by the time they started, I was actually falling asleep a little. Most of the videos have at least a few thousand views. I didn't check all of them, but most of them seem to have the same conditions - disabled comments and likes/dislikes. Except for the TV demo, you can like/dislike, but comments are still not allowed. A few videos have laughably low views. I guess Cory didn't have enough money for that many viewership bots.

As for the TV demo, Cory is trying to get that little shit of a company on TV. Nevermind that bigger companies have tried and failed, he is going for it. On twitter, NPWL has a hashtag

https://twitter.com/hashtag/NPWL?src=hash
This is why I'm here. The top tweet I see is this:
http://archive.is/hlP3U
which would indicate that they DID land a TV deal somewhere. Except, upon googling, I couldn't find a damn thing. You'd think the youtube account would mention a time slot of some sort. The twitter account also claims that
http://archive.is/jq95i
they got an "ESPN News Anchor representing NPWL!!!"
Right below that, I see this
http://archive.is/Qm7zv
which looks like the same guy, but with a wrestling outfit. Either this is some bad attempt at looking like a legit company, or it's one of those weird pro wrestling gimmicks. I don't think he'll attract many fans with an ESPN anchor character. Anyways, they also got american football player Walter Thurmon III (who won a super bowl, ffs) to appear for their show, he can be seen in the second video I mentioned. I thought this was completely ridiculous and possibly fake since his wikipedia doesn't mention this appearance at all. But this article does talk about him venturing into pro wrestling.

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports...es-defensive-back-pro-wrestling-20170922.html
Cory is mentioned there, simply as a wrestler who is just starting his career. Nothing about him being a soccer player or Real Portugal.
I did some last minute digging before finally hitting "post reply" - Taeler Hendrix tweets about NPWL being "headed to TV!" but never says what channel. A few fans even asked, but got no responses. Just thought I'd share this.

Thanks for the info. Can you link to the girlfriend's tweets?

Interesting. When you said it was his "girlfriend" I assumed it wasn't Taeler, because how could she be so dumb to fall for the ruse for so long? And yet, here we are...

Apparently this is the second show they're running and he's booked her before, so I guess he's paying his talent if they will work for him again. Seems like a money mark situation.

Walter Thurmond? He conned a plankowner of the Legion of Boom!

Of course Richard Sherman is a cryptocurrency 'sperg now so I can't say I am surprised.

I have some information that might be of some help. I am from the same area as Taeler, and she confirmed to another woman at wrestling show that he is her fiancé. Also by the footage, and photos taken from this NPWL fed their numbers are so small. Even by independent wrestling standards they don’t draw a crowd. And NPWL has straight up stolen their logo from another wrestling company. One conveniently located in New England where Taeler happens to be from.

Update on the NPWL youtube page
Whoever is in charge of it doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I mean, uploading clips that are less than 30 seconds long like it's instagram is not a good look, especially with the pityful amount of views the newer videos have. The channel went from having thousands of viewers per video down to less than 100 for a lot of them. I guess Cory's having trouble getting money for those viewership bots. Or even finding decent arenas for that matter, these new clips look like they were filmed in a tiny place. I'm guessing most of the budget went into getting Chris Masters (former WWE wrestler) to appear.

Speaking of newer videos, the page also has a "Raw edit" of NPWL episode 3. Uh, where are episodes 1 and 2? Anyways, I skimmed through the video. Walter Thurmond was on at the beginning, just talking like a calm, regular guy. Then you get a poorly edited scene with guys in a dark room, with a contract on a table. It cut to some wrestling (no graphic indicating who's wrestling or for what reason), which from what I saw, isn't actually bad. After the match ended, the winner's theme song was Higher Ground by RHCP. Luckily for Cory, NPWL is so tiny and irrelevant that they'll (probably) never get in trouble for using licensed music. It's how many indies get away with it, anyways.

Following that, you get some clips with a shitty announcer, with weird enunciation: "National Pro Wrestling League. The future of entertainment: fun, innovating, exciting! Do you miss how pro wrestling used to be? We do too! Check your local TV listings." - haven't heard that pitch before...
I tried checking for TV listings again and the show is nowhere to be found. There's a "Pro Wrestling League" but that's for actual olympic wrestling, unrelated to this.
The video then abruptly faded into a match too soon, I guess this is a really, really raw edit, but my god, even I could put something together better than this. You can also like newer videos, but no comments. Hmmm.

On twitter, his bio says that he's working with Feeding America "to provide 1 million meals to families in need" - who knows if there's any truth to this, and how would anyone know given this guy's track record?

Edit: And now onto the subject of Cory's girlfriend, Taeler Hendrix
Digging through her timeline, she has been busy lately tweeting and retweeting stuff tagging wrestling promotions. Notably, she is now open to taking bookings in July and August, and she's practically begging to get booked. I guess she's kinda realizing that this NPWL thing is going absolutely nowhere, and while she could be a top star in that promotion, the fact is that no one gives a shit about NPWL. A few tweets indicate that she hasn't completely given up on Cory's promotion (or what seems to be his company anyways). Also, a peek at wrestling databases like cagematch and wrestlingdata show that she basically gave up on getting booked elsewhere for months, for this stupid little company run by a fraud. The promotion is so small that her appearances for NPWL are not listed on those sites.

Edit 2: Found something else about Cory. He has a reddit account and boy, it is just plain weird. Highlights:

He got a shoutout from Ken Jeong. I'm guessing he paid for it. It didn't get any attention. Weirdly there is a cut right before he says his name, not sure what that's about.

Also Taeler is accusing ROH's Jay Lethal (an actual well known wrestler) of getting her taken off TV for not sleeping with him. Pretty hard to believe considering she is still with this dude but you never know. Likely another reason she stopped appearing, probably because she sucks.

Here's the weird thing. I'm seeing numerous posts on r/squaredcircle saying that she burned her bridges with numerous companies due to being a drama queen, victimizing herself or something like that, but no source ever comes up. So, I'm taking those reddit posts with a huge grain of salt, even though that would explain why she's not getting booked in many promotions.

That said, what we do know is that she abruptly left Ring of Honor in the middle of a storyline with Mandy Leon, initially saying nothing about Jay Lethal. It was a tweet with a positive tone, thanking ROH, I can't find it right now. Given that ROH later had Mandy Leon "do the dishonorable" (or something like that) to Taeler (meaning she seriously hurt Taeler or killed her off-screen), we can assume that Mandy was supposed to win in the end of that storyline. One of the beliefs on r/squaredcircle is that Mandy Leon forced Taeler Hendrix out of the company, but again, there doesn't seem to be a real source to this story.

And now Taeler's MeToo-ing Jay Lethal, while really letting her ego get out of hand, claiming that she should have been the leader of their group ("It should have been called House of Hendrix instead of House of Truth"), bragging about Youtube viewership of one match (which could very easily have been tampered with through viewership bots, ROH disables likes/dislikes by default on their Youtube channel, so that's one less stat to buy bots for), as if that makes her a big star.

PROTIP: online viewership and social media followings =/= being a star in wrestling...especially when you consider that bots can be bought to embellish those damn numbers. Pic related.

I noticed how it said in his Twitter's about section:
"Working with @feedingamerica to provide 1 million meals to families in need. my mission is to fight hunger & feed everyone. #endhunger"

I did a little bit of digging on his account, and found this Tweet:

Article about him / Archive

Of the 4 images featured in the article, one actually showed him with Ken Jeong. So maybe Ken really does know him through some weird connection. That, or maybe Ken was willing to be nice and give a shoutout after taking the pic. Who knows.

Ring of Honor wrestling made a statement earlier saying that they're investigating Taeler Hendrix's allegation on Jay Lethal. Now, per Bryan Alvarez (satellite radio/podcast host, the editor and publisher of Figure Four Weekly, a newsletter that has covered professional wrestling since 1995), according to ROH, Taeler Hendrix was never fired. She was not under contract, was working on a per-show basis, and was booked for events in April 2017, but then resigned in writing prior to those events.

A few people on /wooo/ (a pro wrestling board) are trying to find when she would have been sabotaged and even then, the conclusion seems to be that Taeler is a bimbo just trying to start trouble. Here's the tweet I was looking for earlier, archived version of the tweet, it's the one where Taeler thanks ROH for all the opportunities, posted around the time she left the company. No mention of Lethal or Truth Martini. I mention them because they were in a group called House of Truth, Hendrix was the valet for them - her role was literally to just show her cleavage on camera and look as pretty as possible. Maybe she interfered in a few matches to help Lethal win, it was a villanous group after all, but I don't remember. After the group broke up (quietly, iirc, Donovan Dijak attacked Truth Martini, "breaking" his neck, and Martini never returned to ROH TV), she wrestled in the Women of Honor division for a while. A lot of WOH matches don't end up on TV, except for the rare Women of Honor themed episodes of Ring of Honor, so she wasn't completely taken off TV, and more importantly, she still got bookings (which is where she'd get a majority of payment from them, I can't imagine she made a lot for her appearances where she just looked pretty on camera). As the Bryan Alvarez tweet says, she was booked for events in April 2017, and she quit, about a year after House of Truth broke up (around March 2016? Depending on when this segment was taped)

The most shocking update I found was that Taeler just worked a match outside of the previously mentioned National Pro Wrestling League. I don't know who she wrestled against, but someone kindly uploaded a clip titled Taeler Hendrix Shouting At Wrestling Fans About Sexism - oh boy. For those not wanting to click, it's a very short video, the description says

"This video was taken by a fellow staff member, Angel Gonzalez, During tonight's River City Wrestling event in Kirby, Texas. Taeler Hendrix shouts at a small group of fans about "standing up for sexism."

The video doesn't include the chants of "Jay Lethal," "Red Machismo" "ROH" and some other things shouted at her that caused her to say this.

This is in reference to allegations made by Hendrix towards Lethal during her time in ROH."

As for our boy, Cory Machado has been really quiet for the last 3 days. Oddly enough, he's being smart by shutting the fuck up on twitter. Taeler has just been retweeting shit, as usual, some of it to put herself over as a victim.

10/5: Thanks to the /wooo/ user who noticed this
oh no no no no.png

Cory Machado just lost over 1 million of his fake twitter followers.

As for Taeler Hendrix, she posted this chat log, which is supposed to be the proof that she was sabotaged by Jay Lethal...except it doesn't really prove anything.

muh proof.png

ROH made a statement saying that they're investigating her claims. Lethal made a few statements on twitter saying that he's confident that nothing will be found in the investigation and that there's nothing to these accusations.

Damn, no real updates in months. Does it take this long to take someone to court for (supposedly) sabotaging you at a wrestling promotion? Or did Taeler Hendrix get told by her lawyers that without proof, taking Jay Lethal to court isn't a good idea? Did she even talk to lawyers to begin with? Anyways...

Cory just leans into motivational speaking bullshit and is still doing appearances at NPWL. For a guy trying to get into wrestling, he's not looking like he's in good shape at all.

He has a blog site now, let's take a look at corymachado.net
bloggu.png
So, he's still pretending to be famous, claiming to have appeared on the CW, and FOX while not saying in what way he was seen there. Listing NPWL wrestling among those is hilarious, that promotion is still very, very small.
pt2.png
Also, look at that disparity between the views for the pages. The first two entries have over 1000 views, and the rest don't even crack 100. The travel and work sections have nothing yet, and the blog section has things you see in the first two pics, as well as this bit...
ryan blair.png
Look at that last page. Pretty odd to use a picture from what looks to be a facebook live stream, and conveniently leaving out the name of the company this guy co-founded. I tried looking that up with google's reverse image search and got nothing, maybe this was by design.
I tried archiving that page but for some reason it's blank for me
http://archive.is/tDdSy
Anyways, I took a screencap
Screenshot_2018-10-05 CEO Co Founder of Billion Dollar Health Company Ryan Blair.jpg
Why even bother to make a blog entry if this is all you got out of him?
Given Cory's track record, I wondered if Ryan Blair is even a real guy, or if he even got that one line out of him. I looked up Ryan Blair

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Blair
"Ryan Blair (born July 14, 1977) is an American entrepreneur and author. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of the multi-level marketing company ViSalus Sciences, a subsidiary of the publicly traded company Blyth, Inc."

Multi-level marketing. And he left the name of the company out of that blog entry. Really activates my almonds.

Update 12/31:

It's dead already :story:
Though, I'll be honest, I'm kinda disappointed. Cory ended up being a bore in later parts of the year.
https://twitter.com/RealCoryMachado/media
Seems like he went to WWE's Tables, Ladders and Chairs event. Anyways, the next National Pro Wrestling League event is on 4/20/2019, and he still seems to be using the charity card to try to sell tickets. A few things to close out the year:

Who is this lady? Cory only works on NPWL events, I can't imagine him getting any kind of big fans there. This feels like he's posting a random picture with his mother.

Took a quick look into Mr Wiener's website and he is indeed a cut above the class of legal thugs usually used to harass :dienull: with lolsuits. I did find one bit though:
meme.PNG

:story: A literal tard wrangler. Ah, no wonder Cory chose him!

Right so after a bit more digging I found a bunch of other notable cases Mr Wiener, Esq. has worked on. One in particular is Levy v Prevacus, a chemist suing some chemical company for compensation, represented by Wiener. While I am not going to delve too deeply into it, one thing stood out - He tried to get attorney's fees after defeating a Motion for Dismissal in the beginning of the trial. The bit I was looking for specifically is his fees, at 12,000 plus change. This is when the case had just begun.

While much of this is speculation, I wonder how much Mr Machado is "investing" in his "image."
