I am quite familiar with 1984, it's almost as if it's an instruction manual these days instead of a warning about where he believed Western society could be headed. He was a socialist, but I believe that he may have become disillusioned with the whole thing after a while, considering his writing. But Millennials don't read though because "woke" people don't need books.

SNP are on the decline in my opinion anyway, people won’t like the tax rises and Scottish independence is pretty much dead post-Brexit since it’d involve leaving outside of the EU.

I don't know why all yous straight white CIS males are talking about leaving.

I can feel the backlash brewing, and if things go the way I hope , being a straight white Cis middle-aged male, I'm going to end up in a very smart (Paul Smith?) uniform ruling with a rod of iron administering a county or something.

I'm already eying up my harem of racially pure blond girls staff.

Its our bloody home, you never flee your homeland. You stay and fight to fix it, i would think yanks would understand that. I wouldn't chastise an american for not leaving the US if it became a dystopian nightmare.

It's been said before but @Jaimas is right. Policing in the UK is a fucking joke right now, people had had things stolen, houses broken into been attacked on the street and the old bill have done fuck all about most of it.
:powerlevel:on a street I used to work on, there was a police station. Also on this street was a group of muslims who spent their free time driving up and down said street launching fireworks at people from their car, hitting anything and anyone. Businesses had fires start from being torched by a firework and even children walking home from school got hit. It took a month for them it to stop, it took a month for the flatfooters to step outside their station and book a car that had driven past them hundreds of times. :powerlevel:

Yesterday, sifting through the debris, I saw dozens of members of the blue checkmark brigade openly making fun of Police Scotland. Many of them are ones you would consider the old left (read: my generation), and others are the rare Neoprogressive that can see the writing on the wall and know where this shit is headed.

Either way, they're getting savaged by their own side - even in the echo chambers. Look at ResetERA, for example, and even among the extreme leftist derpmongers, there's about a third of the userbase that feels that even though Dankula himself is abhorrent, Police Scotland is entirely in the wrong.

Putting it differently: It's one thing to lose the support of people who didn't have any connection to you in the first place.
Losing the support of people who otherwise would be your base, and alienating them so hard that they start taking potshots at you is quite another entirely.
