I have played one of the new maps, Warden. One of my friends who stopped playing Faglorant said that the map is literally a Faglorant map because it has 2 mids, so callouts on it is pretty much moot.

Seriously, are nu-CS players really Faglorant adjacent bitches? We already had 2 Faglorant AK skins and now we have literally 2-4 Faglorant-esque maps added in the game.

I want to strangle the map creator with a fucking barbed wire for his travesty of a map.

No Valve just picks whatever from the workshop even if it sucks because they can't be bothered to make a map themselves for a game 1.6 million people are on every day.

Also yeah like other people said for whatever reason a lot of the community maps tend to run like shit compared to Valve maps.

Back in CS 1.6 it was normal to have 2 awpers on the team on some rounds. its nothing new, it works.

Probably for the best, if its real. Part of the reason they didn't make cs2 a new game was because of skins and the inability to transfer between games. Do you know if skins work on that build?

They probably did this because csgo community servers were dwarfed because the server browser combined cs2 and go servers

I do not have any skins to try it with but my medals and stuff only show up in CS2. Trying to open the inventory in this "new" CS:GO results in an error.

No multiplayer, a bunch of stuff is broken and you can only play with bots. Nothing has been changed or added so I'm tempted to believe this was some kind of error by valve.

Its probably supposed to be a legacy version of the game ran to allow csgo community servers to have its own place, much like how css and cs1.6 are still around then. Skins and medals will probably never work, since Valve hasn't implemented anything to allow for games to swap to hold items simultaneously, and they won't implement it for one game, but i wouldn't doubt the fact the weapon skins are still in the game, and community servers could just handle them server side.

They probably just decided enough time has past since cs2 release to give the community what they wanted, a standalone version of csgo without having to deal with the constant nagging of people telling them to work on the older version. Matchmaking will probably never exist, and since its so new no community servers exist that run that exact version of the game.

There are no community servers either sadly. You can only play with bots.

I assume this release is a thing to shut up the diehards and they would prefer it not significantly suck players from CS2. They probably don't want it heavily advertised and publicized, at least as much as they can help it; and needing the direct link to download it rather than it properly appearing in the Store search would help with that goal. Same with the matchmaking not being functional, and needing to navigate the Steam Overlay for servers.

I managed to get a game of Danger Zone man I actually really miss this mode its a lot of fun.
Played 2 hours already so far, got a 22 player Office game for a while, everyone having fun in the voice chat and not a single cheater in sight.

I really wonder what Valve is doing though...
