What's even the point of doing such a thing? I noticed that the in-game browser has been fucked for years now, but I just can't wrap my head around as to why even bother doing such a thing. Luckily CS: CZ doesn't suffer from this because nobody cares for it, lol.
They do this to lure in unsuspecting people and show them banner ads.
They literally brought it back. What else do you want? How is this not exactly like 1.6ers whining about Source simply existing at all circa 2004-09?
CSfags will eternally complain, you don’t have to look hard to find videos/posts from the entire lifespan of GO claiming how the game is dead/horrible/whatever.

This did not happen to Source, CZ, or 1.6. All of them can be played normally as separate games unabated, you dumb gaslighting nigger.
Its almost as though the trve aryan cs2 investors players would shit their pants that their precious jpegs didnt make it over. CSS didnt have this issue because skins didnt exist. All this time you could have been playing csgo simply by playing the version in the beta branch. This just made it easier to do so.

"This game is so dead and sucks. ANYWAYS GUYS WELCOME BACK TO MY NEWEST LATEST 1000 CASE GAMBLING VIDEO SPONSORED BY A SCAM! HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON AND DONT FORGET TO GAMBLE KIDS!"

Rewatching some old CS:GO SFMs, I'm reminded of the lack of creativity / soul in the YT side of CS2; all you get anymore are endless 10 minute minimum e-sports and skin videos with hyper-edited neon thumbnails. CS2's community feels like a void.

On the note of CS:GO, someone has been developing a WIP open-source game coordinator for CS:GO to fix the inventory, in-game server browser, and even support for community matchmaking among other things. It can be found here.

I've had some troubles finding the link for the steam store to get CS GO again.
Here it is: Counter-Strike:Global Offensive

After playing a dozen or so hours of csgo, it has its ups and its down. CS2 honestly feels more "responsive" in that I actually get confirmation that I got a kill through audio cues. I often found myself killing someone without realizing it until I lose my focus and check the killfeed, maybe that's just me being used to hearing the headshot hitmarker on CS2 though. CSGO generally feels a little smoother, but I don't know how much of that is just having 50% more FPS. It was a fun nostalgia trip but I don't think I can stomach another queue of the worst version of Cobble.

You niggers are so funny. The reason CS2 is ‘bad’ is because the community has changed from people fucking around and having fun to a highly competitive scene with a gambling component. Had CS2 never come out, CSGO would have just morphed into whatever it is you dislike about CS2. 99% of complaints are rooted in the community. E.g. reduced modes are because the game is now oriented around competitive.

Somewhat of a related hot take:

Cheating is only a problem in the game because Russian niggers and chinks have to cheat to feel better about themselves. People do gymnastics to dodge the obvious real answer to "Why is there is a cheating problem in CS?". There is a community of cheaters, and people looking to make money off of them. They look towards VAC being the problem, and look at other games as though they would have the same history of cheaters in their games. Sloptubers add onto this showing off "the new player experience" as though their trust factor isn't going to take a nose dive the moment they get a 30 kill premiere game on their first match on a fresh rank 2 account.

Never have had any issues with cheaters in almost 300 hours of CS2 in NA. Have only played with around 20 known VAC banned accounts and all of them were during the beginning and most were at the bottom of the leaderboard at the time. As long as you have a good trust factor and don't play in the EU chances are you will maybe run into a blatant cheater every hundred matches. I only know of one time I've ever had full blown rage hackers in my lobby and that was after a update that wiped competitive ranks and Valve put me back into mid silver instead of mid nova and getting reported dropped my trust factor for a few weeks.

I do wish Valve would tackle account resellers. Would probably put a major dent into the amount of cheaters in prime, since stolen accounts go for dirt cheap on those sites.

It's because valve is retarded and cares more about a new MOBA that's already dying (LGBTQ Marvel Rivals) than a game that consistently pulls ~1.4 million people a day.

"DEADLOCK IS DYING!!! Focus on my game, not that one! B-but don't add anything new or you'll have thousands of angry russian retards sending you death threats and I personally will be very upset!"

1. Although that chart isn't terrible and I probably shouldn't have used the word "dying," I have a feeling it's not going to surpass that peak of ~175k ever again. The real hype for this game was in 2024 and pretty much went away as soon as a lot of people played it and found out it's boring as shit and also woke.

2. Invite only but you can invite anyone on your friends list whenever you want, and there are constantly people on the forum offering to give new invites. Do you honestly believe that there are people who want to play deadlock but aren't able to right now? It's hardly invite only if anyone can get an invite.

3. They should have at the very least finished adding all the stuff CS2 is still missing before moving on to a new project.

1. Dota 2 has a 600k playerbase. There is a huge market for MOBAs, and Deadlock is one that's appealing to not only MOBA players, but FPSs. Every big update causes a huge jump in players, and if they continue diversifying the game modes I really wouldn't be surprised to see this game at the very least match Dota 2 in player count. Stop using woke as a insult, it makes you look retarded.

2. Yes. Your average person is going to look at the steam page, see that it doesn't have a download now button, and walk away, unless they already knew one of their friends played, to which then they'll ask for an invite.

3.I'm Valves' working on it. I highly doubt dangerzone is coming back. At the end of GO, it took ten minutes to find a match. Everyone who claims they played Dangerzone is wearing rose tinted glasses and nostalgia baiting themselves into actually thinking it was a popular game mode. Even now arms race is 50% bots and is so dead even during peak hours you can still find empty lobbies full of in game bots. Cache is going to come this year.

No one moved on to a new project. I don't understand how people just can't fathom the fact that companies can work on multiple things at once, and some people might not want to work on CS2, especially when half the community is just going to dog pile on them for the littlest of changes. Hell, when season 4 came out and they reduced the amount of time it took to register kills, matching CSGOs, for the next two weeks sloptubers were talking about the few hours that playing the game would get you VAC lived.

1.4 milion people who all play exclusively defusal maps, half of them exclusively on a map from 2001. Pretty much everything they added to both GO and CS2 died immediately after it was added.

Deadlock is a good time you should try it.
