Cracked.Com then and now

I still go there on a somewhat regular basis because they'll still make a funny article or two every now and then. They seem to have scaled back on the SJW shit slightly. They'll still occasionally produce articles about, like, trannies and stuff, and they still insult MRAs sometimes. But compared to last year when they were constantly writing articles about Gamergate and had Zoe Quinn and Brianna Wu write articles, it's gotten a lot better. It's still not as good as it used to be, and probably never will be again, but they still produce gold from time to time. They're the diamonds in the rough.

Seanbaby still writes for them occasionally, and his articles are still funny. The most recent one of his that I remember was about how Superman went batshit insane to protect his secret identity in the older comics.

I think one of my favorite articles from Cracked was back when the Internet was in love with zombies and Cracked wrote a piece on how zombie apocalypses would realistically fail. That was honestly the best thing about Cracked: tongue-in-cheek pop culture humor. It could hold you for a good while.

Occasionally their reveal pieces are interesting - I did like what they did for Fundie religious groups and Scientology - but when they talk about SJW shit and sexism and all of that stuff I kinda just go on autopilot because it's not really funny anymore.

Oh, and they had an article written by Brianna Wu, and it was pretty fucking meh. ... Yes I'm petty let me have my cheap shot at SJWs.

It's not a bad as people act like it is but they do have to slip in a Peter Coffin Is Right article at least once a day.

Their Vice style articles are very interesting but overall the site just isn't that funny anymore.

I might be the only person on this site that read Cracked back when it was still a Mad clone. This is so long ago that none of the current Cracked staff even has any idea what the fuck I'm talking about.

Yeah, I remember back in the day Cracked did parodies of famous movies. It was mildly entertaining but it seems every website on the internet is "FIVE INSANE THINGS ABOUT THINGS" these days. They discontinued the magazine in 2007 though :(

Seanbaby is great, and Dick Whiskey is some of the funniest shit I ever read online.

I don't know why I keep going back there. Every single article I've read recently took an opportunity to spew out some far left SJW political nonsense, and usualy dedicated a secton of each list to pointlessly bash Donald Trump. The worst crime is it's not even funny.

It's like they simply can't help themselves. No matter how off topic, they have to squeeze in their views, even when they're just writing a comedy article about quirky movies, or strange animals.

So for example, they could be talking about those monkeys with the funny looking butts, and then go off on a tangent how a guy looking at a girl's butt is "dehumanizing" somehow?
There was one article recently where they talked about strange celebrity beliefs. It covered genuinely strange celebs thinking math itself is wrong, to rap groups who think white people were created by an evil black man. The #1 entry just mentioned that Tom Brady is a Trump supporter.

That's basically like ending an article with, "Trump eees hitler, dur hur hur!!11"
