Any info or theories on this one? Barely covered overall and don't trust the sources that have looked into it.

@PhoBingas I actually think it was an abduction in the Nova Scotia case. I'm prepared to be wrong, but the stepfather (to me) really doesn't seem like he did it. I usually just assume the parents did something when it's a case like this, but with this one...maybe he's just the greatest bullshitter of all time.

I think the kids were visible from the road or had wandered out to the front of the house and either someone they knew grabbed them, or a stranger was going by and got them (there's some kind of business down the road)

The police have probably been to that business down the road and asked about any customers they had that morning, so maybe they know more than they're putting out in the media.

I've been in that area and I think you're right it's least likely that it was a homeless person. I would bet on it being someone the kids knew in the community, and that they're not alive anymore.

Canadian cops are extra retarded. Just because they have to take 2 years of college, doesn't make them magically better than US cops in backwater shitholes, and outside of major cities like Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Montreal, the most they deal with is fent zombie property crime, drunken squabbles, and brown and or red shoplifters.

I haven't seen it posted yet, but a couple of kids in Nova Scotia have been missing since early May and nobody seems to have a clue what happened to them

That case is the exact case I was thinking of when you said Canadian cops are retarded. The fact that they waited weeks to bring in actual cadaver dogs is nuts to me. S&R dogs aren't trained to find corpses, and they aren't good at it. Cadaver searching is highly specialized.

I am pretty sure they are just dead in the woods. The snow had just melted, the creeks were overflowing, and the poor kids probably went too close to a stream that may well have been safe for them later in the year. It's so easy to get lost in the woods, and it's so hard to find someone, even if that person is conscious and calling for help. I am not surprised at all that they haven't found them; it's dense forest, and it's an enormous area.

Henrietta and Eliza Huszti. - triplet pair that lived together, developed strange behaviour and messaged their landlord saying they were leaving with immediate effect. The next day they disappeared near a river and were found deceased a week later and had to be recovered from River Dee. News articles don’t really offer a conclusion other than their bodies being found but i think it’s a clear cut case of Folie à deux just from some of the details and testimonies surrounding the case.

From my understanding, the RCMP got a whole shit ton of trailcam footage from the area. I did find it a little odd they didn't have cadaver dogs sooner. Maybe the family was in denial, but I doubt they'd have much control over RCMP resources.

The whole thing just seems strange. I'm not sure if the kids would have got very far quickly. IIRC both kids shoes were still at home.

Pretty obvious. Someone physically and/or sexually abused her and she went and killed herself somewhere out of the way
Do you think that's what happened to Tammy Lynn Leppert too? That actress from that one scene in Scarface who did basically the exact same thing? She started acting really weird, claiming she saw something really really bad she couldn't tell anyone about, and then just disappeared permanently.

Leppert I would lean more toward the abducted and killed side.

I heard a great theory about the; "Crying in the Woods" scary story.

Background:
You and the Boys go camping in a wooded area. After a failed day of hunting and night of beer and burgers, you all turn in.
Middle of the night - in the distance you hear the sound of a woman crying. Not screaming, but a constant sobbing.
You wake a buddy, and he hears it too. Everyone is now rubbing their eyes while wondering who is out there crying?

Theory:
I heard a wildlife biologist mention that crows and wolves frequently hunt together. The crows acting as drone recon, leading the wolves to the closest game. And earning a share in the process.
But crows are also excellent at mimicking sounds.
What if crows learned to lure humans to the wolves?
People who have experienced this phenomenon have heard: a crying woman, a crying baby, a child calling for Mom or Dad (never any other word, never answering).

If true, the intelligence of a crow should be viewed as shocking. Understanding the social Achilles' heel in the human psyche, and using it to drive a man into the jaws of a wolf.

Yeah, I think I am wrong, I missed this article that came out yesterday, it sounds like both parents were on meth and abused the poor kids. The mom is a member of the Sipekne’katik First Nation, which explains some of the weirdness around the case to me, like why the mother has been allowed to distance herself from this entire thing altogether. And presumably the police knew that the children were being abused, which is why they didn't bring in cadaver dogs to search the forest.

Crows are smart as fuck. I haven't heard the phenomenon you describe but I have been subject to a "grudge" from them before. They're known to remember perceived enemies and share the knowledge amongst themselves. It's pretty commonly theorized other animals at least get a sense for when crows are warning others. There's certain crow calls I've learned through experience mean I'm not seeing a single fucking thing when hunting. Not here or there but meal worm suet cakes seem to be an adequate peace offering.

Honestly, if Crows could talk like Parrots that would be fascinating. Birds are cool

I've noticed that the majority of the time my dogs don't pay any mind to the crows when they're just crowing normally, but the crows know when the coyotes are coming and when they start crowing about them, that's when my dogs start barking like crazy. The crows split, 5-10 minutes later the coyotes come strolling into the yard (and the dogs naturally get pissed). It helps to know when not to take the dogs out.

They're offering a reward for information now. I think they know something they're not releasing to the public and are hoping they can entice someone to start talking. It doesn't make sense to me that they'd offer a reward at this point if they thought the kids were just dead in the woods? Hard to tell..they could know all kinds of things they're not releasing to the public. If they did one of those geo fence things they'd know who drove through the area that morning assuming the person had a cell and there's not a lot of traffic out there.

Animals in general can make some freaky noises. Some species of frog screaming in distress can sound like a human baby in horrific pain, and I know people who ended up going into the bush at night with torches looking for this baby in distress, only to find a little frog in the mouth of a larger frog, screaming away while the large frog just chilled and thought about swallowing. Koala distress calls are absolutely hair raising and very different from the males roaring. When I first heard the koala distress call at 12am I was up and dressed and trying to round up family members to go looking for this bub in indescribable agony... it took them a while to convince me that it was a smooth brained marsupial. And foxes. Jesus christ. They're demons.

Leppert I would lean more toward the abducted and killed side.
I more lean towards something triggering undiagnosed mental illness that caused her to be paranoid.

Cougars can make noises that sound like human screams or crying. I've heard coyotes can too, but I am not so sure.
