Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

That's what gets me. It's common knowledge that traffickers seek out poor very young people and lure them because it's easier for them to vanish.

But no, they're going to go after a woman traveling with her family. I've heard endless stories about poor women being promised good work only to end up as forced slaves who get their passports taken away.

That DOES happen...to third world people nobody is going to miss. It's commonly done in Qatar. The (I think?) Vietnamese or Thai were also doing it to the Chinese and making them run phone scams.

To some random American lady? I highly doubt it.

The way I remember it. I heard stories of them:

1. Person goes to some girl in a poor country.
2. Promise to fly them out and get them work.
3. Pay them back by doing sex work once they go.

So, yeah. Luring. Or worse, sometimes the parents sell them.

Controversial take: the Midwestern dumpy middle age women sperg on about sex trafficking because it's a fetish. They get off on the idea. Similar to how the Handmaiden Tale types fantasize about getting creampied by fascists.
Honestly, that wouldn’t surprise me. There seems to be quite a large overlap between true crime fanatics and ‘dark romance’ (rape fic) consumers. I don’t really understand your point about the Handmaid’s tale though, mind explaining?

To expand on that observation, I think it’s also part of some weird misery complex certain women into true crime have (which I suppose comes with the topic). As a true crime connoisseur, I typically avoid topics relating to missing/deceased children (unless there is an interesting story like with Jon Benet Ramsey) since the topic is just so dark and depressing. True crime hags eat that shit up and I swear there is even a YouTube channel run by one of these women that specializes in cases of child murder.

I stopped reading any true crime stories about female victims as well. Kidnapped, raped, murdered, the end. None of them are really "unresolved mysteries", come on. We all know what happens to missing girls. The ones about adult men disappearing are much more interesting and tend not to involve voyeurism of a real person's horrific rape/dismemberment. They usually wind up being actual crime stories with twists and turns and mob bosses and such.

This is somewhat old news now, but I didn't see anybody post about this here. Investigators announced last month that Jennifer Kesse's case is no longer considered cold as investigators have managed to uncover new DNA evidence and have narrowed down the list of suspects.
That lucky son of a bitch who managed to elude NASA is probably shitting his pants as we speak.

Bro, the most annoyingly weird shit is when they'll be like: "Happy Birthday to this beautiful little girl. She would've been 37 today!" or whatever the hell. They'll post regular pictures of JBR and shit. Her case is super interesting in how puzzling it is, obviously. And it's definitely a horrific tragedy with a real victim we should remember. But these folks form weird parasocial relationships with dead children they've never met who died 30 years ago and shit. One weirdo recently went to the house and snapped pics, wtf. It's a random person's house and the site of a SA/murder of a little kid, dude. Fuck you going to do with a picture of some brick wall and a yard?

I bet the Chris Watts subreddit is still poppin' off right now. I saw some YouTube of the side chick recently and she gained a lot of weight. All the comments are like, "HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT, CHRIS. THIS IS WHO YOU DESTROYED YOUR FAMILY FOR!" At some point, it's time to let go and accept that the case is over. "BABY NICO WOULD'VE BEEN 7 TODAY OMG." Christ, go get hobbies!

lmao, "Chris, do you hear me, you sack of shit? You may have succeeded in physically murdering Shannan, but we've got news for you, pal. By dumping her lifeless corpse in some shallow hole at your work site, all you did was light a fire in her supporters to NEVER FORGOT HER LEGACY!"

Nigga, her legacy is literally being the bitchy pyramid scheme wife who that one dude murdered for some side pussy. It ain't that deep. damn.

MLM gurlboss VS AssDruk child annihilator really brings out the fucking weird pick a side types.
Most annoying women VS most dangerous men brings out the weirdest pick-a-side types? I am SHOCKED.
Was the Amy Bradley case just a toll paid thing?
What does this mean? I do not know the phrase!

Was the Amy Bradley case just a toll paid thing? I cbf watching another Nflix documentary.
She was photographed flirting and hanging with the ship's band, which were a bunch of relatively charismatic locals. So yeah that's always been my preferred theory. Toll paid, basically.

"Burn the coal..."

Richard Spencer said he got a ton of lefty beaver when he was dark lord of the alt-right. Journalists were melting before him.

Is the manosphere just a pyramid scheme by which its leaders get laid with lefty women turned on by "sleeping with the enemy", and you get more wokescold pussy the more sheep you have in your downline? If it is, I can respect that.

I rarely watch ones about females for the exact same reason.

The case that interests me a lot is about the judge who went missing, VCR was recording the super bowl and he'd made sandwiches and then was just...gone. He was found as a hit and run victim I think in a totally different state, had bought plane tickets, and was found wearing military clothes that his wife said he didn't even own. The whole thing is really weird. I can't remember his name off the top of my head but I'm sure some of you know who I'm talking about. it's a case that gets brought up pretty often in unsolved mystery compilations.
