Crowbcat Discussion Thread

I also wanted to see how bad the vitrol would have been, had Crowbcat made a video about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as the game itself was fun (if you're still into the gameplay loop), but severely unpolished.

Pokemon normies are always behind the curve. They defended sword and shield to the death. But it's OK to shit on scarlet and violet even if it is better.

Scarlet and Violet are certainly more ambitious than Sword and Shield were. If they solved the framerate and performance issues, it'd legitimately be better received. Sword/Shield were glorified 3DS games, so it's no wonder they ran a lot better (Well, except in the Wild Area with WiFi enabled early on...).

There's no fixing Scarlet and Violet's art direction though. It's the first time I really noticed that there were multiple character designers on a Pokemon title, since really none of them were trying to conform to Sugimori's style.

It was the uncanniness to the character models that was really noticeable to me. Yeah its an anime game, but with the "realism" lighting all the character models pop out in a really jank way.

Somehow the pokemon models themselves were able to largely avoid this, but its certainly jarring to go from a pokemon battle or shiny hunting to interacting with close ups of NPC's where the bad lighting really enhances the uncanny valley effect of the character models. Noticed how they have particle hair now instead of solid blobs of hair like in the earlier switch and 3DS games. Even the mobile games from what I've seen that are more true to the art style.

I think crowb getting caught changing the title and purposely messing with audio has just completely destroyed his channel being able to be taken seriously
Him shilling some dumb VR game was what really did it. I doubt that he ever lives that one down. You want to talk about soulless.

Thats so dumb he tried doing something that didnt feed into the tortanic fags who obsess over him and they complained. He should have said fuck off but its clear for such a massive critic he folds when he gets some back.
he's a huge coward but his pavlov vr video is still on his channel
what is told is that his rabid fans hated how the old vr video was made, they say it seemed more like an ad for the game rather than trying to show anything positive for VR tech.
He was always a coward that can't take criticism. When he recanted his VR video, his fanbase were angry and so he deleted it. Archives still exist.
I find this video to be a sore spot for Crowbcat fans and VR haters, the latter of which still cite his old video and dismiss the new one.

Careful, people who love 20 hour Elder Scrolls analysis might take offense to this.
It’s true that if you have a good point to make then you ought to make it as brief and convincing as you can, which is why a video showcasing examples of soulessness (or showing glitches) doesn’t need to go on for more than a few minutes to get the point across. If you’re doing a hyper autistic deep dive of every major questline in a massive video game and you don’t want to be reductive then you’re not going to be making just one point, you’ll make like 50 and need a longer runtime

It always amuses me that Skyrim is somehow wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle but also somehow needs 20+ hours to try to explain to the millions upon millions of people who bought and enjoy it that it is a total piece of shit and not as good as Oblivion/Morrowind.

tl;dr: PatricianTV is a stupid faggot and so are his fanboys

He wasn't hiding the title change lol, he changed it to mock demake trannies having a meltdown over the video. But he ended up confusing everyone, some people thought he was backing down and shit, so he changed it back to the original title.

And he didn't mess with the audio (well, he actually did boost RE4R's a little for the video, lol), that was proven to be a really obvious, flimsy and easily disproven lie by Gmanshills. Ironically, Gmanshills was the faggot that messed with demake's audio (boosting it to high heaven) in editing for his twitter post, then pretended Crowbcat edited it down in his video.

Obviously, every demake tranny believed this immediately and started parroting it, without checking if it was bullshit or not, which it was.
This is what I found funny. Letting the game speak for itself is devastating;
What I find funny is that he did let it speak for itself, it was devastating, to the point every insecure pissbaby, like yourself, ran to twitter and believed the first, blatant lie a shill shat out in front of you to cope. Lmao.
having to manipulate shit so footage supports your point is pathetic.
Thanks for acknowledging your own pathetic behaviour, faggot. Gmanshills was the one that manipulated shit and then lied about it to your face, and you bought it cause you're an unhinged seething fanboy.

The point of the Sprint Vector video was to show a VR game that was something that was fun, wouldn't work on flatscreen, and was more than a tech demo. ie. The thing people against VR kept demanding. The "it seemed more like an ad" opinion is something I'm only heard later. I don't think I've seen that Pavlov video before it was posted in this thread.

But none of that addresses the problem. If we give the fanbase the benefit of the doubt and say that Sprint Vector was just an ad. That means Crowbcat can be bought, and cheap. If we give Crowbcat the most charitable interpretation, then his fanbase is so toxic that they'll bully him into pulling videos that go against their doomer opinions.

So, is Crowbcat an dishonest shill, or does he pander to a fanbase that will only accept shitting on acceptable targets? Neither of these options are good.

Literally within minutes of the video being posted by Crowbcat, people were calling it an advertisement. Half of the comments on the video were asking where the #ad was in the video description. It was edited completely differently than the rest of his videos and seemed more like a trailer or a gameplay trailer on an official channel. The reaction was negative enough that he deleted the video rather quickly.

He transitioned in his videos from a guy saying "there is no game in VR that makes you want to spend twenty straight hours playing it" directly into gameplay footage for Sprint Vector. As if Sprint Vector was going to take the gaming world by storm and became the 'must have' game like some Halo or God of War level system seller. Yet Sprint Vector is a game that is as dead as anything and made zero impact on the VR or gaming world outside of this video. The game is a mediocre VR game and he shilled it hilariously.

Either Crowbcat was making an advertisement. Or he knows so little about gaming that he thought that some dumb VR game was going revolutionize the entire industry like Tetris or Doom. He was literally making the case that Spring Vector would become a titan in gaming like Quake or Mario. Guy is an idiot either way. How anyone takes him seriously at this point is beyond me.
But none of that addresses the problem. If we give the fanbase the benefit of the doubt and say that Sprint Vector was just an ad. That means Crowbcat can be bought, and cheap.
Why involve the fanbase at all? Crowbcast was the doofus who made the video, not his fans. Either it was an ad or not. Has nothing to do with anyone but Crowbcat and whatever studio made Sprint Vector aka the next Quake. But anyone who watches that video and is familiar with his other work will know it is nothing like his other videos and reeks of being some type of commercial.
If we give Crowbcat the most charitable interpretation, then his fanbase is so toxic that they'll bully him into pulling videos that go against their doomer opinions.
Again you are putting the blame on the 'fans'. He pulled the video on his own. No one forced him to do it. Likely he was embarrassed that he compared Sprint Vector to games like Doom and Quake and he realized that he came across like a total moron. You would have to be beyond stupid to actually think that Sprint Vector was going to sell VR headsets on the same level that Quake sold 3D cards. But Crowbcat argued that exact point like in ten years time people would be upgrading their entire gaming rigs for Sprint Vector Three Arena.
So, is Crowbcat an dishonest shill, or does he pander to a fanbase that will only accept shitting on acceptable targets? Neither of these options are good.
Wrong. The truth is most likely that Crowbcat is just another reddit tier fag outrage farming machine. Who takes topics he knows will generate lots of traffic and then capitalizes on them with his channel. When the outrage is directed at him instead of the topic of his videos he collapses.

i wouldn't know or care to know, his pavlov video shows the glaring differences between pc and vr cs:go however while he still keeps his old "vr is niche" ones as well, sprint vector did not and that was the many of what his fans commented about it if you look at the comments of the deleted video.

every youtuber is a shill however, if you don't think so then you are either hopeful or naive because you ignore how susan made sure to keep only the shilling on her platform while curbing any other youtuber that tries to stream himself to have fun, the algorithm and the vague policies are the biggest point of it.

Thanks for acknowledging your own pathetic behaviour, faggot. Gmanshills was the one that manipulated shit and then lied about it to your face, and you bought it cause you're an unhinged seething fanboy.
lol calm down

To be clear, Crowbcat takes some blame in either scenario. Either he's a shill, caves at the slightest hint of pressure, or both, or something else entirely. The point is, none of that reflects well on him however people try to slice it.

All that said, I do think the fanbase deserve a lot of the criticism as well. Though it does depend on the fan. I've been on the anti-Crowbcat train a while, and I used to get shit on whenever I criticised anything about any of his videos. That seems to be slowly changing however.

Crowbcat does have some good videos. Ubisoft downgrades, Dark Souls 2 downgrades, Back 4 Blood, even VR Games Aren't So Great is good. I shit talk that VR video a lot in part because it's a great example of the failures of the fanbase. It's a good video, but it's 6 years old at this point (possibly longer as the original was deleted) and VR has moved on since then. But if I'm talking about VR in a public place, there's a chance some drooling idiot will link the VR games aren't so great video, and when people point out that it's way out of date, the idiot will get mad and do the internet equivalent of shitting themselves.

I like how retards are arguing that the audio shit was proved either way and then not providing any proof whatsoever. I haven't seen any smoking gun that proves crowb or Gman were lying and neither of them gave objective out of game proof about their audio levels, people are just dropping their spaghetti and making up bullshit to defend them.

All I know is the comments when I looked at the video seemed to be along on the lines of "I played the game and your version sounds off". No clue who did what, but it's the first time I've seen his audience challenge him on details.
