This Maxx fella was apparently part of the untap goldmine of lolcow communities, the Blockland community, and he flat out wrote he fucked his mother's purse

The leaked builds are from 2017, so most exploits that could've happened probably have by now and have been patched out by now. Yes, even for TF2, despite its painfully slow update speed. Alot of the exploits claims you keep seeing around on Twitter, are all bullshit

And putting my personal opinions to all this, I think this was all overblown If Taylor had never made a livestream to try boasting and making himself look guilty and just waited a response, I fell like this thread wouldn't exist

(And if Valve would have been more communicated)

So no, sadly I don't think anyone is going to get sued, not even Maxx because Valve is too up it's ass off of DOTA2 Chinese money

I saw the tweet with the facepunch screencap about Maxxi fucking his mom's purse last night but I thought it was a different Maxx, after all it is a common username.
I'm still skeptical about this because I haven't seen a lot of info on the guy, just a lot of "source: trust me bruh", It is also weird that someone who commited the sin of transphobia hasn't gotten his info posted all over the place by a friend of the victim. I am aware this guy was part of the inner circle of Tyler and CO and since there's potential legal issues they decided it was best to let out as little as possible. Still, I am not seeing any accounts being posted, just screenshots (some from defunct forums) and hearsay about the guy, with no real way to corroborate those are all the same people even.

Even if it's some rumor by an autist fearmongering, games like MW2 on PC are famous for having RCE exploits that were patched ages ago by fans in mods like IW4X. RCEs in PC games are a real thing.

I wouldn't rule them out yet: but from what I've been able to parse, this dude is completely fucking exceptional, even for Blockland. He also seems to be a drama magnet who loves to cause autistic slapfights wherever he goes; dumbass even tried to show his IP address in some vain attempt on this guy's livestream, but fuck going through that cesspool; if anyone else wants to try and look the guy up and dig into his history, be my guest.

How in the hell he got into Lever Softworks in the first place, and why Jackathan lied about the RCE issue, their position in LS in that Twitter thread, among other things, is still a mystery to me though.

Well, simply Jackathan was a very active user of the Valve Cut Discord, he has a huge problem with having a ego bigger than the entire Valve Repo. tldr, he's just an attention seeker who picks fights with people he doesn't knows. People still called him Jackathan despite he changing his profile picture and name to tranny shit. It's still debatable if he was also responsible for the leak of They Hunger: Lost Souls.

He was banned in March 10th, 2019, just after most people started making fun of him despite he being an asshole when used to be "cis"

I think old-school TF2 stands up as a classic among games like Quake and UT. It was fine-tuned class-based gameplay with a low barrier of entry and a high skill ceiling. If someone was good, you knew it was from hundreds of hours of play. IMO it was the last great FPS that wasn't riddled with item shop nonsense and useless cosmetics. Now look at it.

So many fond memories - pixel-sniping through the gates at spawn, sniping someone down to 10% health then spraying them with the SMG to finish them off, unending battles over the bridge at the end of that CP map, rocket jumping and landing a lucky mid-air crit into a group of enemies, going spy and camping the last CP, etc etc. FUCK that game was so good.

Totally unrecognizable now. Tragic.

I think it got cease-and-desist'ed by Valve, but at one point there was a mod that aimed to provide custom servers with the ability to run 2007-2009 era TF2. I'm sure there's still "vanilla" servers out there somewhere, but this mod would have restored a lot of the high quality texture work that was compressed or otherwise downgraded in order to make room for the textures for the new weapons/items and cosmetics

Until then, the best way to play vanilla TF2 is Xbox 360.
