Iran and Cuba obviously have a big stake in what is going on, Iran provides virgins from the ayatollah, Cuba uses those virgins to roll cigars. The US is playing into Cuba's hands by killing so many martyrs and creating an influx of virgins.

Reporter: Would you be willing to step down if it meant saving Cuba?

President Miguel Díaz-Canel: Is that a question from you, or is that coming from the State Department or the U.S. government?

The concept of revolutionaries giving up and stepping down is not part of our vocabulary.

If the Cuban people say that I am not fit for office and that I should not be holding this position of president — I would respond to them.

But it's not the United States that can impose anything on us.

The U.S. government that has implemented that hostile policy against Cuba has no morals to demand anything from Cuba.

They have no morals, not even to say that they are concerned about the situation of the Cuban people and claim that the Cuban government has taken Cuba to this situation when they have all this responsibility on their shoulders.

I think the most important thing would be for them to understand how much it has cost the Cuban people the policy that they have implemented in terms of what they've done.

Cuba will be infinitely easier than Iran, and even relatively easier than fucking with Venezuela was.

The only thing that prevented it during the cold war was the fear that if we big dicked them too badly Russia would retaliate in Berlin or Europe which would spiral into WW3. Then after the cold war we had democrat presidents that were more interested in propping up the communist shithole than fixing it.

So the SMO to take out the aged castroites will unironically probably take no more than 3 days.

We don't even need an aircraft carrier off the coast of Cuba, we've got Florida for that.

There was also Russia still keeping their nuclear umbrella over Cuba, so the United States couldn't really touched them.

Cuba is a brown country so the embargo was a blessing but the wet foot dry foot policy should have only existed long enough for the El Blanco ones to escape, so a year or two. Of course the democrats and republicans collaborated to keep it as a possible for the compassionately conservatism heckin' bipartisinship open borders from a brown country policy. If only we could set up a no travel policy to every brown country as they're all shitholes. All travel can only be arranged through sissy countries like mexico or canada.

I hope to God that shit was not scripted for public release. I've never had good relations with beasts of burden (cows and ox) but good lord do they collapse easy from loud noises. I hope that Ox didn't suffer a heat stroke from the panic of a scary death machine strapped behind its back.

Dealing with free range cows btw suck. They enjoy dying via F150 or Tacoma and the insurance company attacks you.

USA Today reports a military build up for a potential strike on Cuba. This will put the timeline for any military action between the end of the World Cup and August to leave enough time for things to calm down by the mid-terms in November. I didn't get screenshots of it but I was monitoring a number of B-52 training flights around Florida the past few days.

Just in time for the midterms. The Dems will probably win there but at least Florida Cubans will become blood red and solidify the state if Trump is the one that takes down the Castro regime. Legate Marcus Rubius Floridicus will also take the feather of feathers for his cap.

“U.S. military planning for a possible Pentagon-led operation inside Cuba is quietly ramping up in case President Trump orders intervention.“

Because one war wasn’t enough right?

Cuban Americans are already solidly red and if the whole regime issue is settled then ironically it would become less of a concern for them, they may end up moving to the center pretty damn quickly.

I’m a little conflicted about how I’d feel about a Cuba intervention, it’s not like Iran where they were causing massive problems beyond their borders, and I doubt it’ll be like Venezuela where it was literally a 3 hour SMO. I haven’t really followed the Cuba situation very closely, but I can confidently say that a military intervention that takes more than a week will be politically horrible for Republicans which is fine by me, but I think that Republicans know this.

At this point, I think America has shown its military might and isolated Cuba enough that a non-military solution (implicitly or explicitly backed up with military threats) should be attainable. As cult-like as Marxists are, I don’t think we’ll see the same death-cult behavior we’ve seen from Iran

As long they keep the old classic American cars after communism falls, tho undoubtedly Chinese vehicles will end up everywhere.
They only keep driving the classic American cars because believe it or not, to legally purchase a post-59 private vehicle, until 2025 you had to pay the government US$100,000 to buy a 5 year old French shitbox, and that was the cheapest option.

Yes, $100k to buy a car in a country with an annual average salary of $250

Behold communism.

It isn't that Cuba is causing problems now it is the inevitability it will be causing problems in the near term. What with chicoms and Russians again trying to setup shop there.

It's not the Cubans who're the problem, it is whomever going to get their new landlord angling to fuck with the United States.

A U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton drone has been operating around Cuba for the last several hours and is now currently circling off the coast of Havana.
