It's a mini series made by Aardman around 1999 that aired in Europe. It's about a kid who's hellish figure blesses the thread right above who gets into mischievous shit. When you get past the hair clenchingly terrifying visage it's actually a pretty entertaining watch. I personally love the show, but many people also think this guy is scary as fuck.

So many goddamn maggots in the ear canal they clogged up the vacuum ffs. HOW do you let it get to that state in the first place? As soon as you hear/feel the first one, get your ass to Emergency! Even in a 3rd world shithole, they're not going to send you away with an earful of fucking maggots.

Can you IMAGINE what hearing with that ear must have sounded like? There weren't just a few errant eggs laid while you slept too drunk to feel them getting laid inside your ear, that was a fucking horde, they were packed in there with no more room to expand ffs. How long did that retard live with that shit in his ear before going to the hospital???? Dosen't matter if you're a fucking crack-smoking liquor store hold-uping shitbag, they're not going to turn you away without treating your parasite, jeezus FUCK.

IKR? But apparently the patients were already suffering from a condition called cholesteatoma which is where the ear canal loses its ability to shed skin and expel wax, which often left untreated (by occasional professional removal) eats away at the structure of the ear canal, and quite frequently will eat away the tympanic membrane and the ossicles.

If you look at some cholesteatoma removal videos, you will see *massive* amounts of skin/wax/keratin being removed from totally wrecked ear canals.

Ironically, in these cases the maggots probably did the patient a favor while they were in there and munching away at dead tissue, as it looked like they had completely cleared away the cholesteatomas.

That actually makes complete sense, and you are almost certainly right. One of my earlier cursed images on this thread showed the foot of an untreated diabetic homeless man who had not removed his shoes for SIX MONTHS, and it was full of green and black gangrene and fully exposed bone in some areas, but healthy red tissue in others. All said areas were swarming with maggots. They apparently kept this guy alive by eating all the necrotic tissue before it could send septic sludge into the bloodstream.

Maggot therapy, even by accident, can be pretty fucking impressive in some cases. I don't think this guy's ear canal was such a case tho, but I am def. gonna be looking up choleseatomas tonight while eating chunky cheesecake ice cream. AUGH YEAH AUGH YEAH
