Sure on multiple occasions I've discovered redbacks (a venomous spider capable of killing kids) on the nightstand next to my bed. Sure I once realized there is a funnel web (a spider big enough to puncture boots and kill adults in 30 minutes) right next to where I normally rest my foot in the garden.
How aggressive are they though? We have brown recluses, and these are the vilest spiders in existence because they will literally bite you for no reason at all.

Black widows, one of the most notorious spiders, are actually really timid and non-aggressive. I once accidentally disturbed a widow nest while moving a woodpile, and despite what looked like literally hundreds of widows with the full hourglass on display landing on both my arms, not a single one actually bit me. These are nice spiders. I like spiders in general.

Except brown recluses. Fuck those assholes.

Sydney Funnel Webs are notorious for being extremely aggressive spiders, especially the males during mating season.

Bee flies.

I've been finding them in the garden, they're fascinating little things. Maybe 1/3 inch long, move and feed exactly like hummingbirds but they are fuzzy fat things like this.
