I'm autistic myself, although I was taught that people aren't interested in my nonsense at an early age. It's all just down to how well you're taught about what's right and what isn't in a social situation (I still struggle sometimes), but that guy in your class at least did something vaguely related, assuming the clips he used were tied to the course in some way. What Chris put together is just his name and Sonichu. It's like he couldn't think of anything even slightly related to the course he'd been doing for the past couple of years.
I recall being in a computer graphics class during my sophomore year (1993), and one project we had to was design a calendar using the obsolete Mac Classics they were still using at the time. At the end, everyone was either jealous or hated my guts because of the mad skills I used in preparing my entry for May, plus extra credit in doing the front cover (all done with a mouse).

There's a whole collection of his horrible high school art on the Chris and Art page in the art gallery section (under his awful Rule 34 drawings). Definitely check it out and see all of the art projects he did in school.
Already seen that, thank goodness I at least got A's in my art classes but I think these days of how crappy some of it was. Sad nobody could show him how to hold a pencil right.

I remain a huge fan of this one. I mean, I love all the attraction pics, but this one is my favorite. He's not trying to be sexy, which means I can look at it without trying to dig my eyes out, but it also tells us so much about him. I mean, the awkward pose, the room full of kid crap (that he makes no effort to hide), the fact that he didn't suspect that showing girls all that stuff would drive them off, the Wall of Originals in the background... That pic is one of the better distillations of Chris, in picture form.

Yea he had one of those pencil grip things to develop necessary hand coordination and writing skills, however I don't think it worked for Chris.

Maybe he didn't want to use it and they were afraid to make him use it and feel the wrath of Bob. For all we know one of the many reasons why they got fed up with Greene County is because they tried to teach him how to hold a pencil and he flipped out every time.

Oh man, finally someone else who also likes this pic in particular... the amount of things he has is staggering, it's almost like those PC point and click games with LOTS of stuff in view and you have to find a particular one... like the McDonalds happy meal Sonic box (I guess no artist would had thought of putting that in that place in particular).

Just realised he has a rack of what appears to be anime DVDs on the left of the pic there. Also an enormous stack of magazines, probably Nintendo Power? And the Steel Angel Kurumi poster; pretty obscure manga/anime for Chris's tastes, no? Then again, it's a relentlessly tasteless parody of ecchi hentai stuff, so Chris probably considers it a work of literary/cinematic genius. This image has made me think for way too long about Chris's taste in anime.

All of his DVD are from the defunct company ADV films, brand loyalty? I can seen Dirty Pair Flash, Magic Knight Rayearth OVA, and the Puny puny poemi poster in the wall, came from the DVD set from ADV.

Lord knows I would not be caught dead with that.

Wouldn't surprise me. Wonder if he lamented at it's breakup?

At the end of its run ADV was trying everything to get people to buy their stuff, with the Poemy DVD they packed the poster a pin and a patch, surely this kind of gifts enchanted Chrissy.

It makes me wonder how much did he spend in movies and anime, we have a pretty good estimated on his expending on videogames, but have never seen a list of movies, toys and such form him. We know he bought those new and from the most expensive retailers of course.

More than likely those were the cheapest ones available, or he bought it at the time Sonichu was shifting more towards an anime art style.

This is one of Chris' most awkward photos ever. He's doing the Sonic pose. He interpreted the half smile as literally just that, his mouth's left side looks like he has facial paralysis. The hand on the right is supposed to be rested in his hip, which is a natural pose a lot of people do. Chris has raised his hand up to his hip from a rest position, curled his fingers in, and just is kind of levitating his hand around his belt region. That's what Chris thinks Sonic does with his hand. I couldn't think of any reason why.

I find it pretty impressive that he's even doing the half smile at all. Chris seems to have absolutely no aptitude for gauging what a facial expression should look like (as an autistic with an almost complete lack of facial recognition skills, even I can tell that his expressions aren't standard) as evidenced by the vacant wall-eyed stare in the Attraction Photos.

That's something that used to weird me out about OPL. The way he tried to mimic facial expressions and gestures looked freaky to me. He'd yell something angrily while mechanically mimicing a gesture or facial expression, then open his eyes really wide and just stare for some seconds until he started his next remark. I can't really tell which Video it was, but around the time the made the infamous THAT IS MY HOUSE video, there was one that contained a lot of the aforementioned stuff.
Something about the unnatural way of doing facial expression interspersed with his thousand yard stare just got to me...
Seeing how we now live in a post-taint-piercing era, I just wonder about my past luxury of being weirded out by such tame stuff...

Also on a sidenote:
Since you have trouble with facial recognition, does that also mean you have trouble recognizing people by their faces? Also is it easier for you to recognize facial expressions in anime or cartoon?

That is an interesting question.

That is an interesting question.

I'm not DAS IST MEIN HAUS but I have serious trouble identifying people by their faces, still do. People will look familiar but I just can never place name to face and everyone kind of looks alike. I've determined it's the most likely reason why I'm as into MLP as I am - telling people apart is far easier when they're not, well, people, or just generally when they're cartoon characters or specifically intended to all look different. But as it is I have trouble watching most TV because there's no effort made to distinguish characters because the assumption is the audience will understand - unless the audience is me. It's especially bad when there's consistent lighting changes between scenes.

I have a bit of a short-term memory when it comes to names rather than faces. The problem was compounded more by being in classrooms with 30+ kids. I end up simply caring to remember a few names at a time and hope to get buy with that. I don't have a problem with family members or close friends (of course with places like Facebook, it does feel a bit overwhelmed I could have thousands of friends I would never see in person at all and it's OK).
