I can't remember if Chris was into anything like Halo (despite it being a HEXBOX release - all Destiny is is Halo with different nouns), I only remember him playing crap like Little Big Planet and Sanic. It's odd to see him so interested in a game so far outside his usual wheelhouse.
I didn't think he'd even be into the universe. Like, sure Chris makes vague Star Wars and Star Trek references, but that's because it's kind of mainstreamed. Hell, I'm surprised he hasn't figured out that Bungie made one of the HexBawx's best selling series of all time.
I've never played destiny because toaster but it looks kind of neat. The lack of a mic is a shame because he's not going to stream forever (man I hope I catch one before it happens). Though I've watched enough Chris where I automatically expected a sigh after the helpful British robot man would say something.
"I'll see if I can't get those lights turned on"
"Ueeehhh... *burp*"
I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is holding the controller like that because he is so unfamiliar with the game. If he held the controller that way the entire time he played LBP for God knows how long and got every single trophy and however the fuck long it took him to get all the shit he did multiple times in Animal Crossing then Jesus Fuck what a tard.
You can make it through the majority of the main game without doing multiplayer, it's just boring as hell. If he really wanted to, he could even do some of the strikes, (three-player missions) with his mic turned off and the voice chat muted and pretend he was playing with bots.
The really exciting stuff, the raids, require six players with constant communication. There's no chance in hell he could do it, but it would probably be pretty funny to watch him try.
Hardcore destiny fag here. Two points observations:
He chose a Warlock, which has a Nova Bomb as a super attack in one of their subclasses. Its like a Curse-ye-hame-ha so hed'd love it
I also think he'd like the warlock 'palm' melee attack, which he seems to use a lot
The race he chose, The Awoken, are a matrichal society ruled by a queen
Pure coincidence? Probably. This is Chris.
I predict as it gets progressively harder he'll give up on it. He can watch youtube guides but having suffered through watching him play, he genuinely sucks and his Atsimu means he won't be able to cope with the reasonably fast paced and complex mechanics. He'll also treat any offers he gets join a fireteam (and thereby finish the game) as trolling and wont respond.
That s said, it would be immensely satisfying to Titan shoulder charge his gay Warlock.
If you look at 6:30 you can see he thinks the look inversion setting will allow him to use the tilt sensor in the controller to look around then gets disappointed because of course it doesn't.
Because he wanted a white ps4, only reason he bought the actual game was because of some sense that he was denied what he actually wanted so the Chandler hoarding instinct kicked in.
