HAHA! ADN tried a counter attack and lost. We looted over a million dollars from them! :o YEAAAHHHHHH

Two cruise missiles have been launched at ADN, knocking out sections of infrastructure and destroying ground vehicles. The real reason behind the war, by the way, is conquest. We don't want to keep struggling to keep our economy chugging along, so we're going to bomb the crap out of ADN and cow them into giving us a steady stream of free money.

This just in: The nation of Cherek has joined the fight in the defense of ADN. I have sent ADN a message urging them to "do the smart thing and surrender", then launched some missiles at Cherek to show them what's what.

We're down to the last 20% of the border walls! Get those votes in for the next improvement or wonder! Remember, if a wonder has less than 10 votes, it automatically loses!

1 vote for a movie industry (needs 9 more)
1 vote for a stadium
5 votes for Secret Hedgehog Police HQ (needs 5 more)
 
I vote for the Secret Hegdehog Police because Chris must have an internet police coming to his aid whenever someone makes him feel bad.
And to do that freaky sex monitering thing Magi-Chan does (seriously wtf)
 
Now it's three against one! Those dang dirty trolls in their stupid alliance are getting between us and our rightful tugboat! They're destroying our infrastructure, which means it will take longer to finish the border walls and more of the budget will have to go to the military to keep the trolls from giving Rulcwckians the prickly-wicklies. And to put a cherry on the shit sundae, the military and civilian casualties have mounted to the point that anarchy has occurred which means I have to get the population under control again! *stress sigh* *DIRTY, CRAPPED BRIEFS* Fortunately we're winning some of the battles and looting shitloads of money.

But at least you have more time to vote for the improvement or wonder you want. We currently have 4111/5000 working citizens needed for the final wall section.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that not enough people will vote for anything. So I want to suggest something.

Let's pick either the movie industry or the Police HQ. Whichever one it is, doesn't matter, because we dump all the votes into it (so the movie industry gets its 9 votes or the Police HQ gets its 4 votes). We have 11 votes, which means that if we combine them all, we can get one of these things - and apparently, these two are the ones with the higher chance of success or something.

Having said that, I'm not moving my vote until we decide what we need most. So, movie industry or Police HQ?
 
That sounds like a pretty good idea, to be honest. Of course, it's up to you, Screaming Llama.
 
I came up with the 10-vote minimum for a reason: wonders in CN aren't the kind of thing you approach lightly - they often have hefty requirements and cost a mountain of cash to build and maintain. If Rulecwc commits to a wonder it will basically take precedence over EVERYTHING else, including population growth, wars, technology and so forth. If there aren't enough votes for either the movie industry or SHPHQ, then that's that, the improvement with the most votes wins (which right now would be a church). Even if there was only 1 improvement being voted for and the rest were wonders, if none of the wonders got 10 votes, the improvement would win. The idea is basically to gather enough support from within Rulecwc's 'government' (i.e. this board) to justify the $40m initial outlay and ~$5000/day upkeep cost for the HQ.

I'll admit 10 votes is a bit much, though, so I'm willing to lower the minimum to 6, which means HQ now has the minimum. If none of the other contenders garner 6+ votes by the time the final wall is built, the HQ will be the next project.
 
Sounds fair. It's your game, after all.

I guess Rulecwc's citizens will just have to import their entertainment :lol:. The police HQ sounds more useful anyway.

I'm just pointing this up because, with you bringing up the values and the fact that they haven't changed in a while, methinks we have a clear-ish winner already - the question was then how to implement this due to the 10 vote thing.

I don't think anyone has ever worried too much about the democratic process in CWCville. ;)
 
Well, we lost the war. About 5000 military and civilian casualties, 200 infrastructure lost, all tanks lost, citizens rioting and tax income has slowed to a trickle. We got pwned. Guess the only thing left to do is pick up the pieces, rebuild and pull Rulecwckian society back together.

No, not really, apart from the fact that we got another $750k after another bungled raid. I spent that on infra, soldiers and tanks. Guess the war's not completely over yet...

The war is finally over. I have set war/peace preference to Peace to keep the country safe while we rebuild. It's going to be a long road to recovery though, we've lost over 800 infrastructure, half of our tech, 80% of our population, all tanks, missiles and 10,000s of soldiers. It's going to be another day or so before the population will be brought back under control and normal oppression of the populace can resume. The SHPHQ is going to be a long, long way off.
