TBH I don't get the hype about this game. Made by the same people, who made Witcher 3, so?

According to Steam, I've got ~50 hours in Witcher 3, In these 50 hours my impressions are the following:
- good graphics, although I really wish the fucking wind in the forest stops for 2 FUCKING MINUTES
- ok story. Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who don't think that Sapkowski's books are the pinnacle of the slavic literature. I've read all the books and remember almost nothing, so - they were ok, but not very impressive to me and no - CDPR did not out-do Sapkowski.
- lame gameplay - for me most of the gameplay boilt down to the following: get your horse from the roof, go to point A, kill everything (most of the time I was overleveled), ride back, watch cutscenes. Get another quest to talk to npc, get your horse of the roof, ride to npc b, watch another craptone of cutscenes. Rinse, repeat. The sword fight was boring as fuck, except the parts where I could remove limbs while riding the horse.

In conclusion - yes, it was a good game, especially with the other AAA crap, but for me - was that good as the people made (or wish) it to be? No.

So back to the point - I really don't understand the hype. Seems the same case like with Death Stranding, where people assumed that everything coming out Hideo's craphole is going to be automatically a masterpiece, smelling like roses and afterwards a lot of people were disappointed.

Do I wish that Cyberpunk is good game? Hell yeah, one more thing to play, the poles get some more money and a middle finger to all the trannies and other degenerates crying on twatter.

Never heard of it. Give some links. Anyways, that's probably a bug for Yakuza 7 which has shitty turn-based combat, so it's not worth it.

Can't find the name of the streamer but yeah that's the new yakuza. Dude bricked after buying and downloading a dlc bundle for karaoke or something like that lol

Edit: It was pachinko DLC not karaoke https://steamcommunity.com/app/1235...8663148711088952/?ctp=38#c2972901817705120292 look in there I think it's around there somewhere.

That's always been my impression as well, and of the books. Decent series to kill time but overall forgettable. W3 was meh but playable, I thought the combat was lame but still worlds better than W1 and 2. The big reason I wanted Cyberpunk to succeed is because of the setting and table top franchise history, not out of some misplaced loyalty for a Polish dev house. I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order in any case because what's been on display in this thread looks like ass. Hopefully in a year or two it will be a polished and fun game but right now it looks like it will be a near-flop with a lifeless city and tons of bugs.

Not to mention creepy dead-eye hooker sex.

Yeah, Sega went really fucking greedy and scummy with 7, deleted really good and unique combat system with turn based one, for no reason. Not that RPG industry is oversaturated with turn-based games. Also heard that New Game+ and some other elements that were free in older Yakuza were paid DLCs in Japan.

Agree 100%. Never found Witcher 3 fun, most of people I know that like this game and think it has "THE BEST STORY EVER WRITTEN!!!" also think League Of Legends is the best multiplayer game ever made and have never heard of Max Payne, Deus Ex, LA Noire, Half-Life, Sleeping Dogs, hell even fucking Metal Gear Solid and any other good games before 2010s.

What's everyone's origin going to be? For my first run I'm going street kid because it's the most stereotypically cyberpunk.
Nomad. I want my character to have just about as much of an idea of what Night City is like as I do. Street kid futa for playthrough 2, corpo mommy for 100% playthrough.

Going to be a nitpicky faggot: I know someone earlier in the thread was confused on the release time thinking that the Americas are getting it sooner, but I can't blame them when there's nothing to really indicate they're the same time. No one gives a shit about different time zones unless you're impacted by them (work or acquaintances in said zones). It wouldn't be hard to just put "appropriate conversions below" somewhere.

Can someone give me the TL: DW on if this is going to be a bad game
Prefab missing is all you need, general consensus on the combat is it's uninspired and bland, and most doubt the story will be enough to really justify this mess.

But damn it feels good to be a pirate these days.
I don't know about you, but illegally acquiring shitty games that take up several gigabytes in hard drive space only to play them for like an hour before deciding its trash is hardly a good feeling.
Pirating old TV shows and vidya is still good, however. Also music. Especially music. But fuck new games.
