creatives really need to take this trope and shove it up their asses.
what trope nigga? this is nihilism.
sure, it's gay and all but the entire setting is based off faggoty nihilism and cpdr decided to roll with it.
though i wonder how mike would react if someone made a cyberpunk adaptation without the gayness and made you actually matter, would he chimp out or call it non canon?

That would just be a Morgan Blackhand story
Sure, but Morgan Blackhand is a certified badass. Dude's got hair even David Hasselhoff would have been jealous off.

I'd much rather play as him than Johnny.

Blackhand was the one that actually blew up Arasaka Tower and beat Smasher's ass.
Meanwhile Johnny got his shit kicked in by Adam and died in his piss stained leather pants like the pathetic narcissistic alcoholic loser he was.

this is how they bring back silverhand in cyberpunk 2

I picked up the game on switch 2 and currently on act 1.

Is it me or are Jackie and V fucking idiots? They keep talking about personal details while in the luxury taxi, like mega corpos wouldn't be able to get surveillance footage. Are there any bonuses for getting stats based dialogue? I raised my stats so I would be able to get the speech check during the confrontation spider robot. Why did they give their name out if they were going to steal it? Now that gang hunts me, is that bad? They killed me a few times. Not like I know where to get 10000 eurodollars early game.

When Jackie handed me the controller to the robot I was pissed. I hate the trope of making the player do all the heavy lifting. Maybe I'll get around to the game when the stupidity of the two doesn't piss me off. I gotta make sure to get the sword, the egg and the gun in the Corpo apartment.

I'm glad I know from spoilers to fuck over kingpin nigger and not hand anything to him.

If Arasaka was aware of their plans beforehand, which is what they would need to know to hack into the Delamain network to eavesdrop on their conversation, then they wouldn't even come close to Konpeki Plaza.

IIRC no, but in certain missions you do get alternative ways to solve a dialogue tree if you can pass a skill check.
Why did they give their name out if they were going to steal it?
You have a choice to either klep the Flathead or to do proper biz.
Now that gang hunts me, is that bad?
You'll quickly start to notice all the gameplay boundaries. When you're in a scripted sequence, like the entire Maelstrom fight during Act 1, and when it's just random NPC's that don't matter.
I hate the trope of making the player do all the heavy lifting.
And if that wasn't the case you'd be bitching that you're just watching a cutscene movie.

Maybe if you were to lower your expectations, whatever the fuck they are, then you wouldn't be so pissed all the time. To me it sounds like you're expecting the kind of personal perfection that'll just leave you pissed with every game. Not to mention you can't follow any basic worldbuilding cues like "how the fuck did the megacorp not eavesdrop on them talking in the taxi when if they could the heist couldn't be fucking pulled off to begin with".

By the way, when you start Act 2 your life path choice will only result in different dialogue choices, a few side jobs being swapped and 95% of the content will be the same. Hopefully you won't get an aneurysm when that happens and you were expecting three completely different games in one. I think CDPR themselves realized this would be a retarded idea and that's why the moment Dex puts a bullet through your skull you end up with the same linear story, they bit off more than they could chew on that one.

What about after the heist? They are using their own names to each other ffs. Why are they talking about any personal details while under surveillance? Like mentioning their girlfriend? Corpos are ruthless in this world. They'd kill your entire bloodline. And I assume they'd find out why that taxi was there on the day the tech gets stolen. Then get their people comb recorded footage.

Then there's the time they were talking about the heist in a bar. With the bartender there. The dialogue tree said during the toast 'heist' so if they called it something covert like a 'job' I'd have to go back and see. Which I won't bother.

These guys are goons. Maybe that's the point. Fortunately that plays into this game being a power fantasy.

How do I make the money to do biz? I got shot in the head because I said it was prepaid. Were we lied to about payment? Or was the black guy really an enemy of them? Anyways I killed them because they killed me the first time.

How do you spoil yourself about the game, not realize that you were being strongly suggested to speak with the Militech lady before doing the deal, still remember the dialog choices you picked, and completely miss that Royce told you the original deal was off because it was Brick who made it?

somehow, silverhand returned.
And if that wasn't the case you'd be bitching that you're just watching a cutscene movie.
the game does play like a cutscene movie though, especially with the inability to skip some of it and most of the dialogue options being flavor text, even the skill/background checks.
i still remember that johnny banging alt scene which during the 1.0's was unfuckingskippable.

I didn't read all the material. And playing recently.
I'm not used to the map so I don't get around very easily. I guess this is my fault as I simply went to the first quest marker I saw.

I wondered if King Nigguh was lying about paying so he could get the Flathead for free. Even V points out out how stupid he was to prepay to gang members.

I don't think video games or computers are advanced enough to pull a multifaceted story like this off. Where each choice has consequences with branching paths and AI is semi cognisant. Shouldn't there repercussions for stealing the bosses sons pistol? I know from spoilers now that his dad is le ebil imperialist corporatist and he's essentially couping him. Wouldn't he hold a grudge? I'm just wondering what he was doing with a Johnny Silverhand soul. Revive him likely. But I'll read more spoilers later when I feel like it.

I don't keep up with texts in-game. Maybe that's why I'm missing things

Nigga just cool off for a bit, your overthinking many things when you are still in Act 1 which is basically the tutorial.
Game is designed to be normie friendly so even if you never touched or heard of the source material you can still enjoy it. Heck the game already does a good job at turning the normies into hardcore fans by having characters tell their version of certain events due to their character flaws.

The game hates me for some reason. Constantly having "unknown GPU issue" crashes at random, but now it's gotten out of control. I finally finished Phanton Liberty, King of Cups ending btw, and now I've decided to do the secret ending. First major issue, constant crashing when waiting five minutes for Johnny to suggest soloing the tower. When the game finally decided it won't crash, now it keeps crashing at the beginning of the tower. The furthest I got before calling it quits is entering the elevator. Not to mention how this section doesn't have saves so each crash sends me back to the beginning.

Dunno, maybe needs to cool off or something but it's fucking annoying. Just because V's Relic sickness is getting worse and worse doesn't mean the game is supposed to constantly crash.

Though I've made myself way too OP with mods. My cyberware capacity is at almost like 900, I used Better Leveling so I'm way over level and have every single perk, got a mod to uncap the ammo limit, on top of that I added mods for wall penetration Malorian 3516, buffed Erebus and muzzle attachments, one on the Malorian that boosts the damage and one on the Erebus that adds wall penetration. The Erebus is now a proper fucking WMD, rips through anything like the hellish abomination it's meant to be. Also added the mod that causes Blackwall glitches when using it so it's really fucking demonic now. And the mod for Blackwall quickhacks that's beyond OP, wipes out an entire MaxTac team in one hit.

Moral of the story: don't go overboard with mods if you like a challenge.

Reminds me of the time I used the two netrunner perks that not just let you back-hack the netrunner hacking you but also everyone they're connected to. One System Collapse later and there were only like two or three guys between me and the spacepower tower instead of the horde you'd expect.
