Which is why I predict Cyberpunk 2 will have the NUSA be featured more prominently. Given Arasaka’s defeat in Night City at the hands of V and or Militech, it naturally makes sense that they would be featured much more in depth regarding the further expansion of the timeline. More Myers, Blackhand being a rival of Smasher/Arasaka, and more. Not to mention V being a potential asset for the NUSA. Phantom Liberty sort of sets up the themes that are going to be present in Cyberpunk 2. More politico games fused with corpo intrigue. Itll be fascinating.
Yeah, way more interesting than the "this chip in my head is gonna kill me" story. God, imagine if Human Revolution was a boring sob story from Jensen about being on a ticking death clock instead of conspiratorial intrigue.

Well I mean, I assume the next game is going to be set in the NUSA, so the FIA is probably going to play a bigger role in the story.

Do people really play as female V more often than male V? I’ve been watching a lot of Cyberpunk gameplay and edits on YouTube and TikTok, and the ones with the most views and likes almost always feature female V as the main character.

I couldn't bring myself to play as female V. I mean, imagine Johnny fucking Silverhand taking over a female body. What's the appeal of female V over male V at all?

The voice actress is great. Plus you get to scissor Judy.

What I want most out of the sequel (besides ditching the looter shooter concept, but I won't hold my breath) is the ability to be an actual corpo. On my second playthrough I tried to play fem V as an asshole company man, and ended up somewhat disappointed. There are a couple of good moments here and there, but V's character is largely set in stone. If the second game has a route that lets you be a Militech glowie, then I will be appeased.

It's baked into the genre, but I think underdog rebel stories are a little overdone.

I can't stand the male VA, he sounds like I'm playing as Jesse Pinkman. I've tried a few of the voice changer AI mods, like Joshua Graham, but the audio quality was understandably garbage. So FemV it is.

Personal preference on whichever VA you think sounds better?

It's probably been brought up, but at least this is a Universe where that's legitimately just a "I can fix that with money" issue - hell if I remember that ending right, as Fem V that actually gets brought up.

Best voice option is that mod that lets you make every character speak in their native tongue, and set V's voice to whatever dub you want. They should have found a way to implement that into the game. It's so fucking neat and adds a weird level of anxiety to the "melting pot of shit" this setting is.

Idk, male V is alright.
Or maybe i never played voiced female characters 'cus i'm not a fucking fag and the excuse to see booty in 3rd person doesn't work for me. Roleplaying first before anything.

It's a great mod, but I wish there wasn't the engine limitation of lines being cut off because of the time limit each one is fixed at. It's extremely noticeable for Chinese speakers, like Regina.

And yes, I know there's the version that doesn't do that, but changing Vic's VA is a dealbreaker.

I roleplay as Male V because I like Panam. Also Male V sounds cool, a proper rough and tough edgerunner that fits the difficult situation he’s in. (Also I do not like Judy that much, she’s a control freak and it’s implied she was emotionally abusive to her ex girlfriends)

Not knocking female V, but in my opinion her voice isn’t that distinct at all compared to other female characters in gaming. Male V is distinctly cyberpunk.

Honestly I think male V is better for Streetkid/Nomad, while female V is better for Corpo.
