Playing devil's advocate here.
I haven't put much thought into it beyond player freedom but dating both Panam and Judy would complicate The Lover's ending and I assume it's the reason why for gender locking their relationships.

It could have been like Witcher 3, where if you did both Yenn and Triss they got their revenge and left you by yourself at the end of the game.

But I like that players are locked out of choices, playersexual NPCs are fucking retarded.

Even if you date both you only get to call one at the end of the game. Haven't tested it fully by calling Judy and then doing the Aldecado endgame after romancing both, though.

The Star ending is my least favorite and I've never done it on a character that didn't romance and call Panam in the leadup. That said, if the player is playing a male V and romanced/called Judy in the leadup to the Star, unless the game breaks in half (I don't think this is the case as I've never seen it mentioned anywhere when discussing fixing the Judy romance whether old school with the console or contemporary with a mod or the save editor), it probably just behaves normally, i.e. as if the player didn't call Panam despite romancing her.

It would have been neat if it took a page out of TW3's book and either stuck them in a catfight at a stupidly inopportune time or if CDPR was feeling ballsy made them both say fuck it I'm staying peace cocksucker. Even funnier would be if God forbid the player rolled a bi V and called Kerry, only for Panam to call V a fag.

The Cyberpunk 2077 youtube channel have uploaded a new video to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the game a few days ago:

Cyberpunk 2077 5th Anniversary Trailer — City of Legends

https://youtube.com/watch?v=fHrEootHhlc
Celebrate five years of Cyberpunk 2077 in this special anniversary trailer, looking back on V’s unforgettable journey through Night City and the legends met along the way.
Thank you for being with us during this incredible adventure, chooms. The City of Legends wouldn’t be the same without you!

Doesn't look like any new content, just a milestone event trailer.
So, is this meant to be a update trailer or.....?
I do like the Never fade away remix though.

I've been watching some lore vids on Cyberpunk, and I fucking SWEAR, half the damn comments are, "THIS IS HAPPENING IN REAL LIFE!" "TRUMP IS GOING TO BE A DICTATOR JUST LIKE THE GAME!" "SEE?! MIKE PONDSMITH PREDICTED THE VENEZUELA BOAT STRIKES AND THE TALKING ABOUT TAKING THE PANAMA CANAL".

People really are fucking retarded and can't let go of real world shit even for a minute. Despite the close parallels between Cyberpunk's lore and the real world, there's still a LOT of shit that didn't actually happen. It's honestly fucking stupid, and I hate that people just can't leave shit be.

You made the mistake of reading comments. Anyway i finished most of the side content in the game (100 hours) and I'm at Embers. Fuck the stealing vehicles dynamic quests. Who the fuck wants to just drive with a car for a couple of eddies? Also fuck the tiered weapons and non removable mods.

I've always hated "steal this car and get it back fast" quests so I just completely ignored that entire questline. I didnt realize it actually turned into something more than stealing cars and getting text messages apparently.

One of the most important mods is the one that gives iconics their mod slots back. Balance be damned, I will put a tier 5 gaki and the wallpuncher on breakthrough.
Iconics getting mod slots back and removable mods.

And screw putting that on Breakthrough when Widowmaker and Overwatch exist.

MIKE PONDSMITH PREDICTED
Mike Pondsmith takes inspiration from the real world, he said so himself. Not like double digit IQ retards would understand that you can do that and more often than not you can make your fictional world relate to the real world, yet still be completely separate from it.

Like August 20th, 2023. Unfortunately.
I think the vehicle stealing missions end up being the fastest way to make eddies? They also reward (stackable?)coupons for buying vehicles so if you’re trying to get all the cars they help quite a bit.
I ended up racking up like over 20 mil eds by just running around, killing and looting and selling shit and then doing the car fetch missions since there's nothing else to do once you've done (almost) all side quests. I think I only have the Brendan one left, can't remember other heavily hidden side quests like this. Also all the unique items to find on the map.

I also fucked up the balance hard, like adding the flying cars mod so those car fetch quests become trivial so in the end I didn't need to grind the coupons to get all the cars.
I didnt realize it actually turned into something more than stealing cars and getting text messages apparently.
All you get is an extra quest from El Capitan where you klep a 'saka truck with meds. After that it's the same ol' biz. Find a ride, take it and drive to the garage. Do it enough times and you'll memorize every single line of dialogue from El Capitan.

People wanted Watson to be longer? I thought the complaint was that the prologue sets up bullshit expectations, not that it was too short. To me at least, it sounds like the dev is strawmanning an argument and acting indignant when people have no idea what he's going on about.
That's exactly what I got out of those exchanges too.

most of the game had corners cutoff due to restructuring because they kept sitting on their asses for too long so they need to give shitty excuses to cop out, like that time when one of the quest designers said people (ie: journoscum) said that some quests in witcher 3 "took too long to finish" which was just a shitty excuse as to why some questlines are quick as fuck, homie was just shifting blame because he wanted to save face and not burn bridges, same thing here, the people that designed act1 did it in such a rushed way they are doing this shit to defend it and save face in the gaming industry, they ain't going to shit talk their previous employers in order to not damage their image so they gotta act retarded like that.

which is loads of fun because it just alienates players, hurting the profit margin and making the retard that is out in the open fighting the fans to be a potential issue, fucking morons are literally playing themselves by engaging with the negativity, they should just keep silent about everything and bitch on glassdoor but nooo they have to have their shitty ego moment because making le games is le hard o algo, boo fucking hoo working sucks, at least you ain't shoveling shit.

Besides the clear strawmanning, I do not know how CDPR thinks they struck a perfect balance with Jackie at the start when everything feels off after his death, Like there are more moments mourning his death than how he is introduced, and Act 1 just has more dead air that felt like chores with Jackie as my tag-a-long .

I get where they're coming from, being some schlub doing milk runs and offing grannies in old people disputes for a dozen hours wouldn't be very fun, and the game is long enough as it is. But if they cut out a quarter or half of the gig-tier jobs, Watson having by far the most, and had Jackie tag along for them I think would have satisfied most.
