Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

but at the same time it does make me wonder how many people are truly excited for a cool Cyberpunk RPG and how many are just buying it as a sort of "TAKE THAT!" statement.

Well, the thing is, most normie gamers don't even know about SJW's that want to take over everything that has to do with gaming. Most gamers just see something that looks cool and pre order it. Gotta remember that the whole culture war thing within gaming is just a very very small niche compared to the gaming community at large. I have no doubt that there are people who will buy Cyberpunk 2077 just out of spite but i think most people are genuinely interested in the game.

one person jumped on that train at least.

I love how openly racist these assholes get when we stray off the plantation. Very progressive guys.

I'm always just worried that they'll eventually bend the knee like Western developers.
i wouldn't worry about that yet, the studio is still being run by Marcin with a team that has been with him since the Witcher days, them and Warhorse are the last developers i imagine giving up on their vision just to please the people that aren't even going to buy their game.

Also that guy below got slapped with Pondsmith himself to say 'Who the fuck are you to decide what I create'. He also told them that 'The Animals' meant they were strong and fierce as animals. And that the Vodoo Boys was taking back their culture and adding Vodun to Cyberpunk. These people really are pieces of shit.

With how Pondsmith responded, these guys will no doubt do 180s and say he is an Uncle Tom or needs some deprogramming for not agreeing with their perspective. They can keep sperging over the game being horrible because of some gender tweet or in-game advert they cling on as "proof" CDPR is transphobic or how CDPR "doesn't get cyberpunk" because reasons, or even the gangs used in this game and that they'll either pirate it or never play it but they're in a minority while everyone else will buy it, either because it looks good, has Keanu Reeves, or even just to spite the tards that screech at how bad the game and CDPR.

Well, let's ask ourselves an interesting question here: We know Witcher 3 sold well and CP77 will also prob sell gangbusters. But! Here's the funny question, with the controversy that Witcher 3 has and now CP77 does, how many pre-orders are gonna be just people wanting to "troll" or "stick it to the SJW's" and don't really care about the game at all. Either way, yes CDPR will make good cash and I'm actually happy for that, but at the same time it does make me wonder how many people are truly excited for a cool Cyberpunk RPG and how many are just buying it as a sort of "TAKE THAT!" statement.

If Take That sales were of any relevance, shit like Hatred wouldve made their developers billionaires.

I love how they won't say stuff like "nigger" always claiming how that's only used by racist/nazis/etc. But calling a black guy "Uncle Tom" thus implying he's a white mans bitch? naaah..Perfectly fine!

I'm a bit surprised I haven't seen more transhumanist's post about this game. Isn't robot arms, and stuff the kind of stuff they want?

Well, some people did bitch how CDPR "don't understand Cyberpunk!" and how all those body modifications should be seen as "SUPAH AWESUME AND WOKE AS SHIT!" instead of ya know going "Holy fuck do some people mess up their bodies!"

I feel that uncle tom pretty much became the n-word for progressives to use. Just another dismissive and pejorative buzzword for black guys with independent thoughts.

Sad thing is, poor ol' Uncle Tom is supposed to be the hero in the original version of the story. Imagine using a whitewashed slur to suggest a black person is whitewashed, it's just idiotic. Uncle Tom is the "nigger" for non-black progressives, coon is the "nigger" for black progressives, it seems.

With that aside, Cyberpunk looks good and this is one of the only games I'm hyped for this year. I hope it runs well on PC, and I hope the higher-ups don't succumb to these idiots who want to "diversify" the game or some stupid shit (especially not mob boss, Anita "Don Corleone" Sarkeesian)

I tend to wait until long after a game has come out to buy it, but did the witcher 3 have issues on PC when it came out? I know that's pretty common, FFXV and nier: automata both had performance bugs in the early days of their steam releases and i think the witcher3 was around the same time.

I'm unsure of Witcher 3, never played it. I'd have to assume there were performance bugs, though, since it seems like every big release is half finished and developers love to patch things post-launch anyways.

You are correct, on it's launch Witcher 3 had a ton of bugs, which forced the dev team to do overtime work to patch out all the bugs on the day of the games release to fix all the problems with the patches. Because of that, they added a lot of free DLC stuff to make up for all the bugs that got trough.
