Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

reaver.gif

New gif from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter showing off a Mad Max-inspired car, as well as the Badlands outside of Night City. You can see the city's skyline when looking at the front left of the car.

Saw thread getting activity, and it's about customising your junk.
Was maybe a little skeptical before, but now consider me sold.

Given how the wokesters have been gunning for Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now (remember David "Olivia" Hill's Twitter chimpout or Anita Sarkeesian trying to do some Goodfellas-style shakedowns of CD Projekt Red?) and the fact that the Cyberpunk franchise was created by a true and honest based black man, I'm going to give these guys the benefit of the doubt more than I would to groups like Sony, Ubisoft, BioWare/EA, Nintendo, or Bethesda.

I think this is just them playing the "Cover Your Own Ass" card for the time being, because they know if they stayed completely silent, let alone outright denounced BLM and Antifa, the SJW Left would be gunning for them harder than ever.

The SJW Left has crossed the Rubicon on this one, and this riotous insurrection is just the grim finale of the 2010's cultural zeitgeist. Given the serious implications of the FBI and DOJ's wide-scale designation of Antifa as an international terrorist movement, I think this is going to cripple the Woke Left since a lot of corporations would have to withdraw any and all funding for Antifa or openly Antifa-aligned political groups (like BLM) to avoid serious legal repercussions.

The declaration was on Sunday evening, it's been less than 48 hours since this has taken effect and a lot of companies are still sort of in denial of just how severe this is and the turbo leftists in the big companies are going full tilt in their virtue signalling since there's no going back from a decision like this and they're hoping they can convince the government to walk it back.

If Trump and the Feds hold firm and start going after Antifa and the BLM groups who ally with Antifa hard, then the major corporations will start issuing retractions and throwing the activist types under the bus just to avoid having their money and assets frozen or being brought up on federal charges.

Right now, the Left is in the "Denial" phase and many haven't realized they're committing suicide by cop in going full-on with their zealotry. A lot of corporations are virtue signalling hoping they don't get "cancelled" by the wokepunk mobs and targeted by looters in the chaos of it all.

Also, this Blackout Tuesday thing is the epitome of slacktivism.

Want to protest racism and police brutality in the US? I know, let's all turn our profile pictures black! Thoughts and prayers! Hashtag Bee El Em! Costs nothing and pulls the wool over your average NPC's eyes. No wonder the corporate world does it so much.

Daily reminder that when Nike advertised shoes with Colin Kaepernick's taking a knee as "believe in something even if it means giving up everything," those shoes were made by actual persons of colour in the Third World in sweatshop conditions - and he gave up absolutely nothing in making said protests either, for that matter.

I look forward to 2077, but yeah... This is a bit disappointing.

You kinda have to make a pro statement if you're in the public light. One of my cousins is a moderately famous musician in Austin and even though he thinks the riots and BLM are fucking retarded he made a half hearted pro riot statement because if he didn't he'd be cancelled and never get gigs again.

It's survival.

Yeah, it's show allegiance to the cult or they come for you.

I fucking hate it.

It's basic PR. Throw out a platitude like this and you get some free press for being "one of the good ones". I'd like it if more companies didn't just voice safe opinions for good marketing but that's just reality. I'm sure we'll get the /v/ crowd demanding boycotts now but that's just being a little bitch.

I know, I understand the situation the devs at CDPR are in. I am more disappointed by the delay of the Night City Wire. I was looking forward to the 11th, but some smooth-brained rioters had to ruin it.

If anything, I wish these companies would speak out on behalf of those who have been attacked and/or have lost businesses/property due to the riots.

I don't even get the delay. Do they really think the riot bullshit is going to continue for the whole month or something.

For fucks sake. People are desperate for some distraction and escapism but every company's delaying anything new.

Fuck the retard cop who started this shit and fuck the jogger who got arrested by him.
